Will you be able to do all you grocery shopping here? Probably not…read more Is it the cleanest, best kept, nicest smelling place? No, get over it. But does it have the best selection of Asian specialty ingredients? Also no. Hana World Market is a gift to the neighborhood, despite all that. It's a convenient place to find affordable Korean, Chinese, and some Japanese goods without spending a whole day of it. They have a fabulous selection of kimchi, miso paste, tofu, noodles, tea, hot sauce, and more. I find find vegetables that few other places carry, like celtuce, pea leaves, and kabocha. Anytime I'm craving kimbop, I know I can hit up the freezer aisle and find tons of vegan options, way better than Trader Joe's. They have the edge over H-Mart and 99 Ranch for the exact reason that they're not as big. Even on a Saturday afternoon, the vibe is chill. There's space to navigate with a full cart. There's room in the parking lot. I can get what I need and not stress over crowds. Of course, there's the food court and coffee stand, which are attractions in and of themselves. I just go for groceries and I'm not disapointed.

This place is, candidly, a bit run down in terms of its vibe, with a nonspecific not pleasant smell that is a turn off. With that said, excellent prices on pork and soft shell crab. We were looking for a particular Deep brand sweet lime pickle. I asked a gentleman to find it for us. He looked for it & said it's out of stock. Two days later, as I just entered the store, he reached up to me and said, "the pickle you were looking for is here! " I was pleasantly taken aback! :)) for someone to even remember what the customer is looking for. That's paying attention to detail. Well done! His name is Mr. Santosh. I hope the store owners appreciate and recognize you!! Unless you are the owner... that's cool too! :)) The vegetables are all arranged well. Very fresh. They were continually checking if there's any rotten produce to be thrown away. The namkeens were all arranged well in a full section. The spices, lentils, organic stuff, grains, utensils etc. Everything is organized so well!! Very well lit aisles. All within reach. I am sure to visit again! :)) Enjoyed shopping here!

I appreciated that the space was clean and hygienic. They have a business called Vipuls Kitchen in the back of the store preparing fresh vegetarian food in the store - you can opt to have a quick meal at the tables there or take the food to go in containers of various sizes. They also prepare fresh sweets.

Also, how food is handled is critical. Before food reaches the customer, the chance it has gone through many hands is higher, and the foods are stored longer before reaching you. Often, food additives are preservatives added to keep the food fresh for longer. However, buying from the farm is safe. It comes from the farm or grocery direct to you. Additionally, farm-fresh foods help reduce stress and fatigue. Veggies and whole fruits are fiber-rich foods that lower the effect of depression and enhance your mood (score)! I have ordered fruit, vegetables, meal kits, beverages, meats, etc. from this vendor. I have had great experience with customer service, and concerns regarding missing or incorrect items or verifying delivery times have been addressed promptly. The goods from this vendor are on the pricey side, but well worth the money for fresh food delivered to your home. #supportlocal

Please avoid this place…read more They sell bunch of expired and not good stuff. I was looking for lavash/ wrap an I purchased two, one made in Turkey and one from Latvia. I opened it 3 days ago and look at mold all over the bread. Also it was all breaking apart which was a reason I could not make some veggie wraps. I bought it on 2/14 afternoon. There was a date on one exp in April and the other one did not have any date on a package. $10 for both went to trash. Sadly it's not the first time I get rotten or spoiled product. A lot of the canned stuff, like different types of beans, isn't really any cheaper than what you'd find at places like H-E-B. Fruits and veggies looked pretty standard, but the prices were oddly higher than in regular grocery stores. They do carry some interesting sweets, and I always enjoy checking those out. Coffee, though, was more expensive compared to other international stores I've been to. What really stood out in a bad way was the attitude of the staff. No one was rude exactly, but they act like they don't really want to be there, and definitely not like they want you to be there either. Product-wise, no complaints. But the vibe from the people working there? Pretty unfriendly.

He says it because I tend to be a spontaneous grocery shopper, which "could" be true. One key advantage when I shop is that I have a near photographic memory, which I cannot say the same for the hubs. He went to the grocery store three times and failed to purchase jelly. How can this possibly happen? I "need" jelly on my toast in the morning. So, when I was on Parmer I popped into this HEB, where we used to live down the street. This HEB has been totally transformed with bold, bright and huge signage. It is also well lit making virtually everything in the store feel illuminated. I headed for the jelly isle and got our standard strawberry Smucker's jelly AND Bonne Mamam Apricot preserves. Was the purchase of the Apricot preserves experimental shopping? You be the judge. I rang up at the express line and was finished in less than 10 minutes.

I was calm, cooperative, and trying to make things easier. Instead, he pulled my cart toward him and said, "Well lady, why the hell did you come over here with all this stuff?" referring to a small basket with about 16 items. He then continued making comments and jokes while employees and customers watched, making me feel embarrassed and humiliated over groceries. I was not stealing, arguing, or causing a disturbance. I simply needed a quick stop at the store during a difficult day. Policies can be enforced without mocking or publicly shaming someone. The lack of compassion and professionalism from a lead employee was disappointing and honestly heartbreaking.
