Churrasco sandwich! I already had eaten half
    Rebecca S.

Honestly I only come here for one item and that's a little sandwich called a 'churrasco'. It's made out of steakums, cheese, tomato, avocado, Mayo and it's all toasted on your fresh bread of choice. Other that that, I'm not much help. The only negative is they need more staff for busy hours. Same lady has been working there alone for years.

Caramel pasty... the plate breaks trying to get a spoonful..... HARD

The chicken empanada is okay. The beef empanada taste old... the onions were bad. I bought a caramel pastry that was hard.... Couldn't put the plastic spoon through it... 4 empanadas and caramel pastry = $21... not worth it at all

Disgusting empanadas. Found a small roach.
    Nan D.

Bought 4 meat and 3 chicken and 2 cheese empanadas and in the chicken I found a roach. Disgusting and will never go there again

From my favorite churrasco to the iconic chilean empanada, this bakery brings the food that I was brought up eating to the NJ. I have brought a few of my friends and I have yet to hear a negative remark. The best thing about it is that the ingredients and flavors are quite common, just ordered in a fashion that is uncommon to certain people. If you are unable to find parking, drive around the block a few times. Trust me it will be worth the wait. Viva Chile!

We ordered a cake for a Christmas dinner and it had mold and the whipped cream was sour... what a horrible experience.

Go in this bakery and order a Barros Lucos sandwich (Chilean bread, steak, and cheese) and I promise you'll be back again. Thank me later

I have fine memories of walking through the streets of Recoleta and Palermo at night in search of a quality alfajore, or mornings started with a dulce-filled medialuna and a coffee. This very good Argentine bakery took me back to those days, with a delicious chocolate-encased alfajore paired with a cortado and a crispy churro filled with dulce. For a savory bite, the cheese and spinach empanadas were tasty, if a bit salty. They were both baked, as is the typical style within B.A. city limits.

The croissant is perfectly toasty and tender and the bacon is doing its thing too- very generous, the right thickness, flavor and crisp! Teach me. Oh, teach me! The place is always busy so I order online and pick it up. A couple times the orange juice seemed a bit wateryand they remade immediately. No issue and it was better! The other thousand times I've ordered, the juice was perfect. That's how you know it's 100% orange juice and not from a bottle or can. The cakes and pastries look amazing but I'm a creature of habit so can't speak to them. However, the people I have sent have only great things to say! After the crowd dies down, good place to come and study, people watch, lunch meetup, etc. lots of tables and space. Great addition to Bergenline!

The last three times I've ordered. 1st time- I ordered on Uber eats, an egg and cheese sandwich and they sent it brick cold. I'm not sure why whoever was working would think to not warm up the sandwich. Made no sense. 2nd attempt- I ordered the same egg and cheese sandwich and it was drier than cardboard. I've been getting this sandwich for years. I'm not sure if they forgot to put butter on it but the sandwich is typically never dry. Not sure what happened there. 3rd attempt- At store. The new employees seemed frazzled and you need to repeat your order to them about 10 times because they keep forgetting what you just told them one minute ago. I love this place and I'm only giving this review so that it doesn't go downhill. There are a lot of new cafés opening up in the area and I would hate for them to be left in the dust. The owner is very kind and cares about her customers, so I know she will care about this review and do something about it.
