I've always wanted to try this donut every time I walked by, but is it worth $6.50? Well I gave it a try today, the answer was easy! Unfortunately, the answer is NO, not worth the $6.50, maybe worth half the price. The chocolate flavor is barely there, almost nonexistent. In other words, the glaze was only for show. There is too much dough, and the glaze was paper thin, seriously!!
Super cute little bakery, the pastries were delicious and the service was great. Perfect for a quick treat and coffee.
Pastries were good and soft. Servers were nice and friendly. Was not a fan of the coffee as it was rather acidic. There was also a foul odor in the bakery which is not something you'd expect in a bakery. Would get a pastry again, but would skip the coffee and eat outside
Having dinner during rush-hour, it was busy, but the line was moving. I am on the hunt to find the best chocolate croissant in New York City, and although it may not have been the best croissant, I love the variety they have mini ones, raspberry pistachio, chantilly, Nutella and so many other pastries. I personally loved the mini one because sometimes I'd be eating too many croissants and I was able to eat this one guilt free. As well there was a decent amount of chocolate for a miniature, sometimes I don't even get that amount of chocolate in a regular size chocolate croissant. This location is right by Times Square and it's pretty large. There's a second floor where it's a bit of a loft and you can overlook down to the first floor. It's really cute. I also love the teal color they have for the bakery as well. If you're looking for a quick pastry bite, this is a good spot.
My friends and I randomly stumbled upon this bakery while looking for a sweet treat, and we were so pleasantly surprised! The espresso was delicious and made with love. They had the viral fruit pastries we've been seeing everywhere, and they were just as good as they look, fresh and just the right amount of sweetness. The bakery itself is so cute. It has the coziest, charming vibe with beautiful displays and such a welcoming atmosphere. You can tell a lot of love goes into the space. And the woman who helped my friends was sooo sweet and kind, which made the experience even better. Great treats and great service! we'll definitely be back!
We stumbled upon this bakery on the way into the City from our Bus. The pastries in the window were simply too hard to resist....my coworker told me I had to get authentic Italian Christmas cookies while in the city so of course this was a no brainer. So.many.options! Goodluck leaving without a decent bag of delicious treats. I basically got one of each cookie and each was delicious and didn't last long at all amongst our group. My brother loved his pistachio croissant, filled t the brim with thick pistachio butter cream! I took a bite and barely made it before it was gone. Just the right amount of flakey buttery crunch outside and delicate filling! My brother compared it to similar treats we had in Italy and I couldn't agree more. They had the viral mousse cake things that look like fruits too! Plenty of options for prepackaged treats to take home or gift for the holidays. This spot mastered the whole eye candy from the window magic, trendy items, while still tasting authentic and well made. Bravo!!! Service was quick and attentive. I'll certainly come back next time.
Classic NYC bakery and dessert spot with Italian influences. It's a family run spot that first opened in 2019. Currently there are 9 total, so you know they're doing something right. I stopped in for a late night dessert and had to experience their hand rolled Bombolone, an Italian doughnut with different types of fillings. Outstanding. The dough was light and fluffy, and the filling silky and tasty. Being a sucker for great tiramisu, I couldn't skip it here either. It was excellent. Creamy mascarpone with espresso soaked ladyfingers, and a perfect amount of cocoa on top. Their selection is amazing: desserts, coffee, pastries, cakes, you name it. And it's not just sweets. They've got savory foccaccias and paninis too, so it works at any time of day. It's great whether you want something quick for breakfast before work, or a late night dessert after dinner or a show.

Ambiance was a bit upscale on an otherwise nonchalant block. When in the city again, I would return. I didn't see a chocolate croissant but would love to try one of they have them!
This was a nice little spot to grab a morning pastry and coffee. It was close to Penn Station. Welcoming, nice sitting area, good treats.
The raspberry and lemon mousse that are shaped like actual raspberries and lemons is so good! Definitely worth a visit if you're nearby.

Came here to grab a quick sweet treat while in the heart of NYC. Angelina is a family/owned bakery. Upon entering, you could smell the sweet goodness of the baked treats! They have an assortment of sweet and savory treats such as stuffed donuts and croissants, pizzas, sandwiches, and gelato. We got the stuffed pistachio donut , stuffed chocolate croissant, and strawberry gelato. The staff provided great service during our visit. The pastries were not overly sweet with a nice portion of filling in each. The pistachio had a great real pistachio flavor, not artificial tasting. The chocolate was just as tasty too! The strawberry gelato was an unexpected treat. It was rich and dense with an intense strawberry flavor that we really loved! All in all, a great place to grab a good pastry and don't t forget the strawberry gelato!
Went in for a latte late in the day before we headed home and the lady was so nice i wish i got her name she made my latte to perfection and when i saw the treats i couldn't help but buy a bunch of different ones. The mango was absolutely amazing the outside in a nice crunch and this inside so smooth and not overly sweet which i loved. The apple wasn't my favorite but it was still very good. However the star of the show was the burnt cheesecake.. we devoured it.

Truly a bakery style donut. Freshly made, great fillings, with a beautifully fried raised donut shell. One donut is definitely plenty. They also served a variety of French pastry as well. read more

The pastries are gorgeous! Just did not taste as good as it looked. The pistachio filling in the doughnut was so runny and hard to eat. My Americano also did not have that nice espresso base flavor. I know they add water but usually the base flavor is richer. I drink it black so count on good flavor. Service was good and nice areas to sit. read more
Prosciutto pizza was delish! The mini pastries are so yummy, I like taking it back home and heating it up in the oven so it's hot. There's filling on the inside that's amazing. Each flavor has its own unique taste and love each one. Service is great too. Store is very casual, great to get things to go or eat there! read more

I wanted something sweet and I found this bakery walking distance from my hotel. Let me say, I will be coming back here every time I'm in NYC! Donuts were so delicious and fresh. The croissants were even better. There are tables available to sit down and enjoy. read more

It's right next to the theater showing the great gatsby so we stopped for a bite to eat after the performance. Not to be confused with Angelina Paris near Bryant park this one is an Italian bakery . They're quite overwhelmed with patrons so the scene can get a bit chaotic. We had cappuccino and a gluten free chocolate cake . Cake was waaaaay too sweet . The place is takeaway and or sit down but you get your stuff at the counter and sit wherever you. Nothing super fancy though plenty of places in and outside to sit. I for one will stick with the Parisian Angelina read more

I had the Nutella stuffed bomboloni and it was fillllled with delicious chocolate hazelnut spread (my friend got the same but for some reason hers wasn't as filled; and also didn't have as much powdered sugar). It was a little bit messy to eat so I appreciated the plastic cutlery offered. I would've enjoyed the donut a bit more if it were fresher/earlier in the day, but it was still a nice little treat before a show! read more

The pastries here are amazing!!! We tried the chantilly cream bombolones, Nutella croissant and pistachio croissant. The pistachio croissant was my favorite one. Had to go back the next day and get a pistachio croissant to take back home with me. My only regret was finding this place the day before I left NYC. read more

Open till late and have the perfect dessert sizes to satisfy your sweet tooth. Super easy to order and staff is helpful with your request. Small place easy for grab and go or to dine in and enjoy. Nice treats. If you don't see what you want, ask them. They have more items in the back. read more

We were lured into Angeline's with their assortment of beautiful pastries. This review is the aggregate of two locations, both with similar items. My favorite item was the Spinach Egg Focaccia. We asked the server to heat it up for us. It's a good sized portion with ribbons of flaky pie like pastry on top. Other items that I thought were pretty good: an apricot preserves filled croissant and a savory rolly croissant sandwich with smoked salmon and cream cheese. We also got a plain donut with powdered sugar - nothing notable here. The pistachio croissant didn't quite meet expectations. It's visually stunning - as you bite into it, there are streaks of green dough running throughout. Ultimately, it's very heavy with a dense pistachio butter filling and the outside doesn't have much crunch/texture. Solid spot for savory pastries. Would like to come back to try the rose pot (looks like a small edible pot with filling) - those were intriguing. read more

5/5 As someone who's very particular about bakery desserts, I have to say... I was SHOCKED (in the best way possible) by how delicious everything was at Angelina Bakery! We stumbled upon this gem while walking through the city at night--just a casual stroll downtown, and you know us girls... when we see something sweet, we have to stop. And I'm SO glad we did. I tried the tiramisu (perfection--not too sweet, just right), a mini southern cannoli, the pistachio doughnut (with a creamy pistachio filling that was out of this world!), and their gelato, which was incredibly smooth and flavorful. We also tried this super fun raspberry chocolate treat that you get to crack open--such a cool touch! Every single thing we tried was 10/10. Honestly, the quality is next level. Yes, it's a little on the pricier side, but totally worth it for the craftsmanship and flavor you get. This is officially a must-visit spot for me every time I'm in NYC. We passed this shop and saw the rolly in the window. We thought about stoping by for about a full day before we decided to give it a try. We come to NYC mostly for the food and where we spend our meals and treats matters! ;) The service was very friendly. We requested a chantilly cream and were told they were out for the day, but that the strawberry would be a good choice. It was. It was after 5pm, so I expected there to be a harder edge to the pastry, but it was still soft. The cream was concentrated in one area, so I'd recommend cutting it open before taking a bite. The shop is clean and there is a great selection of desserts. We came back the next morning for a Dubai Bombaloni and a strawberry choco iced latte. The bomboloni was very good, with a nice crunch to the filling. The latte was very large and super sweet, and had strawberry syrup that seemed to have real strawberries in it. I think it was a good quality drink, and the flavor was good, but it was too heavy for what we expected. We would be happy to try more offerings another time, and recommend it for a treat any time of day. read more

Every time I come to NYC, I look for some delicious, original Italian coffee and, more often than not, I'm usually disappointed. However, this was not the case with Angelina's Bakery! I tried their Nutella latte and it was made to perfection!! The espresso taste was perfectly blended with the Nutella, and I couldn't get enough! I also tried their mini croissant with Pistacchio and it reminded me of the ones I tried in Italy a few months ago. When in NYC, always go Italian, you won't be disappointed read more

Are birthday cakes/ mini cakes available daily? Do I need to preorder? I cannot reach the bakery by phone.
They reduced their hours open and I have not been able to check them out lately. But they used to be low on cakes availability. I would go somewhere else for cakes like Paris Baguette.
Is this place related to Paris Baguette? Because I saw a small Paris Baguette logo on the door.
