Finally got the opportunity to try Los Angeles Burritos and it was just average. I wanted it to be so much better but sadly it wasn't. I ordered the chicken nachos. It wasn't warm and the cheese was like melted cheddar cheese nothing special. Flavor was bland and missing something. Giving 4 stars because my family went with me and they all enjoyed their meals. Long time fan of this place back when fossil fuel's were in vogue. Just have to share this Mexican breakfast for dinner a twist on old time favorite. I would throw one word of caution I think the numbering system on breakfast 9 which is a egg plate comes as omelette and breakfast 10 which is omelette comes as a egg plate. Asada California burrito is so amazing. It's huge, the ingredients are so fresh, asada is very flavorful, and the sauce that they put in it is amazing. I get the hottest salsa and green, but the burrito is so good you don't need the salsa. read more

Drove 7.5 miles to get here based on reviews I read. Very happy I did and full! I loved the LA burrito with marinated pork. Full of flavor. The pork is fantastic! The burrito had a bit of everything--avocados, rice, refried beans, marinated pork, cheese, lettuce-sour cream. And I'm sure you can alter it to your liking but I liked that it also had grilled onions in it. Full of flavor--not a boring burrito by any means. I enjoy bite variety especially in Mexican food and this definitely meets that criteria. ***** Also tried the tacos al pastor. Not the best I've ever had but still really good. *** grilled onions instead of raw. Very authentic and I'd definitely go back here in a heartbeat if I was a local. They had so much more to try. Also had a grapefruit soda and sampled all 3 salsas. Hot is intense. Green (medium is excellent--still hot) And regular is by any standard a great salsa. This place has been here quite a while, we live about 2 miles away and...sorry to say...this was our first visit. My wife and I each had the L.A. Special Burrito (Vegetarian version); they were fabulously fresh and tasty. The young man behind the counter who took our order was very helpful and told us that they would make anything on the menu without meat. The wrapper for the burrito was the perfect combination of tender, flavorful and fresh. The burrito itself was well stuffed with spinach, beans, rice, bell pepper, tomato, mushrooms and, I'm sure, something I'm forgetting. The presentation on the plate was first rate, burrito (well dressed with tomato bits and avocado slices) in the center, a few nacho chips to one side, some jalapenos and other garnishes on the other side. Beautifully served and delicious to eat. We will be returning soon to try some other selections. Muy bueno and well done, Los Angeles Burrito. Steak quesadilla after not being able to figure out what I wanted to eat. They have a lot of options. The quesadilla was browned perfectly. It was hot and the steak was shredded it seemed so it was easy to eat. The quesadilla was cheesy. I also enjoyed the pico on the side and the chips and salsa that was included as well. The salsa I chose was mild and it wasn't chunky at all which made it easier to dip the quesadilla in. Id love to go back and try the burrito that I saw but I would have to eat that inside. read more

Yelp does it again! Do not. I repeat. Do not stop at a chain restaurant when heading down I-85. This is a quick hop off the interstate. Moved into AL from SW US. This restaurant is authentic. It's fresh. It's accurately named. Like I stepped back into the area for dinner. Breakfast served all day. 10" tortilla. Had the burrito supreme with pastor meat. Tortilla was also toasted. Excellent! 14" tortilla. Split between two people, and we are about to explode in a good way. A lot of good in the burrito. Also served with thin fresh tortilla chips on the side. Red sauce. You could taste the chili pepper. So so good and good for you too. Yum! This was like an oasis in a very dry desert of dining experiences since relocating here almost two years ago. And, extra bonus, this is the absolute first restaurant to use eco friendly recyclable takeaway containers - not styrofoam. Demand better AL. We were given dominion over the Earth. Really great food, but insanely overpriced. $65 for two burritos and 7 soft tacos. They charge for little cups of hot sauce, which I have never experienced at any other Mexican restaurant. These people writing the reviews for this restaurant are either related to the owner or have never eaten out in their lives. First of all, DO NOT leave a tip when you order your food and are paying with a credit card. Even though I was the only customer in the place, when my food was ready, my "buzzer" went off and I had to go to the counter to pick up my food. Yes, after including a tip on my credit card when placing my order. Also, my "supreme beef nachos' were terrible. I've had much better nachos at a JV football game. These people seem nice enough, but why is there an option of leaving a tip, especially after overpaying for your food? Seriously, you take your tray and dump it when you finish. We called in a pickup order for my work. It took way longer than expected waiting. I have to admit I was frustrated about that but then we started eating and it was well worth the wait. They have a variety of dishes and are willing to make changes as needed. They did not skimp on the cheese on any of the dishes and we all loved what we got. The staff was very friendly. Place was already packed but turn around was within 10mins. I was lucky enough to get a seat and table. The chicken soft tacos came out hot and super fresh! Nice cooked chunks with perfect seasoning, purple onion and garnished with cilantro and 2 lime. Salsa came in a spurt bottle on the side. These taco were absolutely perfection! The burritos were Ah!Mazing!!! It was so big, I didn't think I'd be able to eat it all. But it was lighter than it looked and just enough. OMG!!!! I love the food here! Especially the guacamole and salsa but the price for them here are pretty expensive for the small size container they use. Everything here is GREAT, don't get me wrong!!!!!! I would just recommend the container sizes for salsa/ guacamole etc. be upgraded to at least e able to accommodate two people eating from. I've had this place bookmarked for a while. Today my son and I were on our own for dinner. His choice is almost always Mexican. He felt adventurous and opted to try this place on instead of his fav spot in Pelham. This place is right behind the new Thompson HS in a small 4 tenant strip mall. The interior is small. Maybe a dozen tables. The format is order from the counter pay and they call your number when your food is ready. There were maybe 6-8 groups that came and went while we were there. Almost exclusively take out orders. They have all day breakfast, lunch special combos, tacos, tortas, burritos, sopas, and maybe a half dozen Tex-mex entrees and a few "authentic Mexican dishes. Additionally, they have a kids menu and some basic, burger, chicken finger and sandwich options. Son went enchiladas Mexicas Verde. This was on the authentic menu. I went California burrito. Giant overstuffed steak burrito with fries, avocado and all of the other traditional burrito accoutrements. Mine came with a small amount of chips that were kind of stale and some mild unimpressive salsa. My burrito was large and pretty good. Likely won't order it again. Son won the order. His enchiladas were excellent. The verde had a bit of kick to it. The chicken had really good flavor. The dish was very well developed with very good ingredients and absolutely delicious. I was glad he didn't quite finish it. He never out orders me. Today he did! We will go back. I want to try their breakfast but will have a hard time not opting for those enchiladas.
