I made a surprise for my friend on his birthday and it was a perfect gift. We reserved 2 hours wakeboarding- It was so cool! Our captain was so helpful and professional. He explained everything for all of us and it was so easy to start standing on the board. I recommend this kind of activity with this guys for everyone.

My first time!

Love this guys! I've been dreaming of trying wake surf. Never did it before. Our driver gave me some simple instructions and I did from the first try! No analysis paralysis, just get in to the water and try! He explained me the difference of wakeboarding and wake surfing, difference on the waves that the boat can create, went over the safety instructions and made sure we are safe. I so much appreciate this guys! Highly recommend them!!!

My daughter and I had so much fun. We booked an hour session. Our instructor was Alex and he did an amazing job! He was very helpful, explained everything in details. I did wake surfing and my daughter did ZUP board. I got up right on the first try! My daughter had so much fun on ZUP board, we didn't know what it was but Alex insisted on trying and she loved it. Nothing is better for a mother than seeing your child's happy face :) It was perfect summer break activity and we will be back for sure.

That was AMAZING! My friends and I got so much fun. Our captain was so professional and nice and friendly man. He helped everybody who was not familiar with wakesurfing and gave safety guidance to all of us. The boat is new, clean, nicely equipped and has lots of different boards of different sizes. That boat is great not only for wakeboarding but also for just cruising around the lake. Thank you Wake Los Angeles for a great time!

Fun family outing on Castazic Lake.

We have used them several times and always been very happy. Top of the line boats with experience helpful skippers/instructors.

Maria and Anton are the best! I've gone with them several times and they are always on time, fun, superb drivers, excellent coaches, and they have top of the line equipment! I used to go wakeboarding when I was younger but as an adult there was a higher barrier to entry. I don't have a boat and it didn't make sense to buy gear without one or access to one. Los Angeles Wake solves this problem because not only to they have one of the best wakeboarding boats available, but they also have a large variety of wakeboards (top brands such as liquid force and hyperlite), wake surfboards, and life vests so they have everything I need!

Ask the Community - Los Angeles Wake

Hey, I hope you're well. If we are 2 people for waterskiing, can we pay $220 between us or it must to be $220 each? Thank you so much!!

Hi Leitrim! The price is certainly for the time not per person. It’s $225 per hour and you can have 5 people riding and share the cost. Hope to see you soon. Just for your information we currently operate on Lake Elsinore

How much per lesson for wakeboarding?

Hi Natalia! We charge per hour and it’s 220$ per hour. You are welcome to split it with your friends

tl,dr: Experienced much false hope with Mt Baldy…read more + I had obtained a free all-day ski ticket to Mt Baldy. I was ecstatic. [img 1 of 4] Sat, Mar 7 -- When I finally make plans to go, the resort closed. Not just that, they (unintentionally) pulled a bait and switch a couple times. My complaint isn't the weather. My complaint is the repeated false hope from their announcement approach. Seeing how bad the weather had been, wish they had just announced early that they will not open the next day, well before the dilettantes had already gone out and rented ski gear the day before. Save me the trouble of repeatedly refreshing their mountain report webpage every hour beside my expensive snowboard rental eagerly waiting to shred. - "WIND HOLD - UPDATE AT 10AM" For a while it had already been well past 10AM and no update yet... - "We are planning to open Chair #1 at 11AM ... with full operations by 12PM" almost made me start the ~2hr drive to their resort already. Imagine the infuriating waste of gas that would've been. - "Snow Play will be open Saturday" Sounds like an assurance... - Finally! Around 1pm, "Closed Due to High Winds". ¡No me digas! - lol below that, still "Snow Play will be open Saturday"... [2/4] Sun Mar 15 Round 2 of Mt Baldy disappointment after having already eagerly rented the expensive snowboard package a 2nd time, here we go! - "Snow Play will be open Saturday" ok, the assurance again. - "We'll be open through Monday" so we're for sure for sure now, right? - "... tomorrow March 16. Unfortunately we will not be open" Again?? Mer alors! + Silver lining: Thank you Mt Baldy at least for notifying me before I already started driving up the mountain. - "we're still hopeful!" (at this point, ) lol suuure -- "bring any unused tickets to the mountain for a gift card" ....uhhh what? After EVERYTHING, I'm now being encouraged to drive allll the way up to the mountain?? Gas prices must be an all-time low these days... [3/4] -- Prepaid parking disappointment. Their website kept saying "Please select at least one rate type to continue", so I kept selecting the single parking ticket rate, but the website wouldn't relent. - Occasionally it'd give me a tease by loading a new page... only to reveal "Not Confirmed" or "404 Page not found". . Note: I eventually realized by "rate" the website meant to buy an actual ski ticket, meaning you can't buy a parking ticket without buying a ski ticket... Well that defeats the purpose of a free ski ticket, innit? (lol I did slang in Spanish, French, and British) - lol so much for the online marketing tease "prepaid parking is discounted!" [4/4] Wed Dec 3 - Their email correspondence seems to have technical difficulties. After 5 days without response, I tried again. ~ Finally, 13 days since my thumb-twiddling had begun, they finally get back to me. Kinda. Ultimately, Mt Baldy's free ticket wasted me +$60 and much time and emotional energy. Mt Baldy? More like Mt False Hopey. lol just send me $120 (ticket price) flat and we'll probably be good.

I adjusted expectations as I have heard a lot of…read morenegative reviews but Mount Baldy is much nearer to us than other SoCal resorts and so we decided to check it out. The lift tickets and rentals are significantly cheaper than the bigger resorts in the area but you will need to book both online in advance. You can also book parking in advance and it is cheaper to do so. I wish there was more information on the website to tell us what to expect. So here is my experience. Once you arrive at the parking lot, they will ask for payment. If you have booked in advance, you just tell them and they will wave you through. Just follow the staff's directions to park. We arrived at about 8:30am on a Saturday morning and there was plenty of parking available. You will then walk up a short but steep hill into the check-in hut. At this point, the will request that you fill in a waiver, which you should fill in online prior to arrival to speed up the process. You only need to fill this in once per season. Then you will be handed your parking ticket (for proof when you exit - but no one checked, as well as your lift ticket. You will be directed to the sugar pine chairlift #1, which is about a 20 min ride up to the resort area. This was probably the coldest part of the trip in the morning as the sun had yet to reach into the valley and the wind was quite strong. Once we got up onto resort level, we headed to the right which was the renal hut. The rental fitting process was quite smooth. You had to complete a form to, and when it's your turn, you hand the form to a member of staff who would send the relevant size to you. You start with the ski boot and then skis (or board). While you are waiting, you can grab helmets off the shelves in the waiting area. The last piece of equipment would be your poles (if needed) as you exit). On the day we went, the snow was packed powder and pretty good to ski on. As the day wore on, it got a little slushy in places but still very nice to ski on. It was quite warm and there were people who removed their jackets. The trails are not well marked so we spent quite a lot of time staring at the map. Turns out we went onto a wrong trail at one point! There were barely any lines at the lifts, nor was it super crowded, so we could get our runs in quite quickly. On the other hand, there isn't a wide variety of beginner runs. As for food, well, the food is standard ski lodge food - not great and quite expected. There was a line but unlike other ski resorts, we were able to get seating pretty quickly and the line was not too long. I imagine it could get worse in peak season when you have more folks coming up for snow play. So maybe bring some food. Talking about bringing food, there aren't any lockers for your valuables. We were told we could leave our bags in open cubbies. I carried my bag since I wanted water on my, but in hindsight, since the mountain wasn't big, I could have left it and just carried my wallet and phone. Overall, it was a lovely first experience skiing here. I would like to check it out in peak season when there's more traffic to see how the infrastructure handles the crowds. It's really nice to be able to ski without my toes and fingers freezing up or waiting in long lines.

One of the most-used lifts on the west side wasn't working, which caused a lot of congestion. Traffic getting into the resort was rough, and the transport buses from the east to west parking lots weren't operating. There was no announcement about this, so my friends ended up walking from east to west parking, which was frustrating. On top of that, we experienced a fireplace being out of gas. They eventually got it lit, but by that time it was late, really cold, and we were about to head out because our lift tickets had expired. Overall, the resort has potential, but I felt unprepared for the crowd and the logistics were poorly communicated. Hopefully, they can improve operations and better handle busy days in the future.

Fast friendly service to get the rental and they showed us how to put the snowboard on. We still get a seat at the cafetaria. Cool. Restrooms are okay. We kept going in and out of the store buying stuff coz its our retail therapy and we wanted to get some memorabilias. We bought total of 2 snow jackets (Dankin, Roxi), 1 Mt High sweater, 2 goggles, 4 face neck covers , 6 keychains. There were 4 employees, 2 women, 2 men. 1 of the men was a total d**k. When I bought the first pair of goggle the other male staff helped me find a different style for my son for the same price range. The second time I went back to get the second pair of goggle for my daughter, it was the other male staff who was super inpatient kept saying "theres no other one for her size," upset body language when I asked to cut the tag off and yelled "I can help the next one" before I was even done paying. Geez. Why you worked there I wouldnt even know. This passive aggressive poor customer service was a definite minus 2 stars. When I went to the ski patrol, inside was warmed and friendly stuff. I asked for my daughter to be helped going down the hill and they helped her with a sled. This was the solid 5 stars. Closer to 230 pm lots of drunk young men even fell on the ground in the cafetaria with his group laughing cursing obnoxiously to each other. No staff said nothing. Restrooms were absolutely disgusting at this point. It was snow storm. We were headed out by 3 pm and my Sienna, in the handicap parking space, was stuck. We parked in the $30 lot. The snow truck plowing all the snow in front of my car, and someone else parked behind my car. It was actively snow storming, and my son wanted to borrow shovel, and they took my phone as a guarantee we will returned the shovel. I saw other cars also struggling . My kids pushed the car and finally we were able to get out. Conclusion, dont go in snow storm, and I would stand up to that annoying staff in the store and told him off.

So we went to yeti snow play for the first time February 21 of 2026. It was a perfect weekend…read morebecause there was a lot of fresh snow and it was cold but also sunny. So we were so excited to go tubing and play in the snow. We bought our tickets online to reserve a spot. My biggest complaint and issue and that's why there's not five stars, is it took us 2 1/2 hours to go 2 miles from our Airbnb. And when we got to the destination, the parking lot was completely full and we were very, very disheartened that we would have to turn around and take another two hours to get back and then have to come back the next day and hopefully be able to get a spot. I was very disappointed because the infrastructure doesn't seem to be very organized to deal with a big amount of crowds, especially knowing that fresh snow attracts a lot of people at one time. However, I was able to get out of the car and talk to three employees. The first two employees just told me that I can just use my ticket for the next day. But I didn't want to give up so I talked to the third employee, unfortunately I forgot her name, but she told us that since we already had tickets and it wasn't for snowboarding or for skiing that she would make a spot for us for parking. And that just made my day! I was very, very thankful for that because it was going to be very difficult to tell my six-year-old that we weren't gonna go tubing that day. So luckily we were able to get in and park and have some fun! So after finally getting in, I have to say that every staff member that we interacted with was super friendly, super helpful and just very professional. The tubing was super fun for my son. He loved it so much! And the cool thing is that the lines were super short because everyone was skiing and snowboarding. The tubing was super fun and my son went up and down 14 times! There is a little place that you can get food, but we brought our own food since we have allergies. And we were able to find a really nice little bench in the eating area and have our food and it was great. I can't really talk more about the food since we didn't order from there, but it looks like a lot of people are ordering. So for the cost, I think even though it's really high price for what we paid for I think it's worth it because it's a safe and controlled area versus trying to find a random hill to go sledding at. It was nice and definitely we'd love to come back. But when we come back, unfortunately you have to get to the parking lot at 7 AM and you don't start doing any of the tubing until 10 AM so that is unfortunate and that's something that I don't know how we'll plan for that but that's something I wish that they would try to fix her future. But overall, I would say it's a great place to go tubing ski skiing or snowboarding or just playing in the snow. But you need to plan a way ahead and know that it's gonna take you a very long time to get in . I highly recommend buying tickets online!

The only downfall is my husband said he was expecting to go in open ocean and that we didn't need to pay extra for a captain if we're just going to stay in the island. Then at the end we also had to tip the captain. Which was fine because he was cool but keep in mind you don't have to pay for it if you're going to be around the cove. To top this all off after my husband left a review they called my husband asking him to change his review and exchange they will give him two hour free yacht ride, so we can go in the open ocean. We tried so many times contacting them, they told us let us know when is a good day. After us letting them know, he told us he will let us know when is a good day for him THIS month. I had told my parents we would take them on a yacht ride, so now I look dumb because it is the end of the month and the guy never got back to me on Instagram, over text we tried contacting them. So, now I have to go back and leave a review because it just wasn't right for them to do that. I'm leaving some pictures of the conversation me and the company had over Instagram. These are not the messages that my husband had separately with them as well. RESPONSE TO THE NOW DELETED COMMENT: never said I didn't have fun, my friends were there, we brought our drinks and captain was nice. A man is only as good as his word and obviously now you're lying and saying myself and everyone else on the boat was drunk. Of course we would want to take advantage of another yacht ride to go in the open ocean like he originally planned we were going to take our toddler and my parents so it's really baffling how you're trying to make it seem like it's our fault. It was my birthday and I didn't pay for it so I didn't know what was included in the package I still had fun but I am speaking on behalf of my husband. We just didn't get what we paid for. And by the messages in the picture I will let the dates and convo speak for themselves. We don't want the complimentary ride because you obviously had an attitude about giving it, and never got back to us. No hard feelings, good day!

But all that as prologue to a couple of weeks ago, when I went with my son, another dad, and a slew of Boy Scouts on a two-night backpacking trip into the San Gabriels. I've completed the Sturtevant Falls hike more times than I can count, and I've hiked and re-hiked all sorts of trails in this area. But I can't say that prior to this trip, I had taken the path to Spruce Grove Campground... it just never came up I guess. I'm glad to have experienced this nice little spot just a few miles from the parking lot at Chantry Flats. The campground is little more than a marginally flat area between the trail and the creek. Plenty of shade trees in the riparian spot makes for a tranquil camping place, despite the steady flow of hiking and trail biking traffic just feet from your tent. Each campsite features a fire pit, and there is a rather unique toilet with a conveyor belt "flushing" system. Kudos to the engineers for not only a waterless set-up, but also the clear plexiglass roof offers light and a nicer view of the laurel and sycamore trees. Just a few minutes from Sturtevant Camp, this simple little camp site is first come, first served, and free to use. No bear boxes here, so bring a good bear can/hard-sided bear container. Unless you're really good at it and know what you're doing, don't bother trying to hang a bear bag. Really, you're doing it wrong. Pack out what you pack in, trash wise, too. If you're camping here, it's probably during the "absolutely no fires.... seriously, what were you thinking even bringing a lighter?" season. So there's that, too. Four stars for being a cool, free, close, and relatively pretty campsite in a high traffic area. The consistent parade of people in their REI-inspired plumage was definitely a few steps higher on the food chain than the Eaton Canyon waterfall people, but still distracting.
