Lobster bisque
Ashley S.

We were told about JD's, so decided to try them out while in town. We went on a Saturday around lunch time and we must have gotten there at a great time because it wasn't packed. We were immediately greeted and sat at a booth. Our waitress then came and took our orders, Both the waitress and the hostess were very nice and welcoming. As I was walking to our booth, I noticed another customer with an entrée that I wanted to try. After asking our waitress, I tried the Cajun Tilapia dish with Shrimp. This dish was actually pretty tasty. I wasn't expecting it to be that well seasoned, but it was very delicious. It also came with rice and corn, so it was very filling. We also tried the Spicy Risotto balls, which were also surprisingly delicious. The only dish I felt needed to be a little more refined was the Lobster bisque. It wasn't bad. It was creamy, but it needed more seasoning and wasn't as "fresh" tasting. Nonetheless, great visit to JD's and definitely would come back.

Spaghetti

I, along with two others, had lunch here. We were not disappointed. I got the spaghetti and really it was some of the best I have ever had. The noodles were just right (slightly al dente). The homemade sauce had a good consistency and was very tasty. Excellent and a nice portion size, too! I also got the crab bisque and it too was very good! The others got a stuffed baked potato and the country fried steak. They liked both of their dishes. The server did a good job. The ambiance is not the best (a little run down), but the food and service are top notch.

Stir Fry- the best I've ever had!

It is the of our favs! The prime rib on the weekends is wonderful. Recommend calling to reserve it. We have tried almost all of the entrees and they have been wonderful.

We are new to the area from the Washington DC suburbs. Husband and I tried this place out about month ago. and I have to say it was really good. He had the pasta special. I had tortellini. Portion sides were big. Services was friendly and attentive. I came back to get a lunch order. Chicken Parm subs. One recommendation for the own. You need a much bigger sign. We almost missed the turn finding the place. Like I would move the flam logo to the left of the JD's Grill and make the wording much bigger. Just saying.

Prime rib.

Yucky, soggy and undercooked. I'm new to the area and this was a huge expensive mistake. Just don't do it.

Excellent food and service! We will be back. It was a little hard to find due to the hidden road but worth the effort.

The chicken and spinach filling is delicious and the noodles are perfectly cooked. The Caesar salad has a nice twang to it and it was very well chilled which I really prefer. The Bruschetta is my favorite appetizer and i love the olives with the balsamic glaze and cheese, it's different but very tasty. Not really a fan of the scampi or the angel hair pasta dishes since those seem to be overcooked each time, but the cannelloni really did it for me this time. The service is great, drinks were constantly being filled and wasn't in a rush to order. Each waitress/waiter has been nice and attentive. The atmosphere is nice, laid back, nothing fancy, but just a nice casual dining experience. On super busy night it can be a bit loud, but if you go early for lunch or their early bird dinner specials it's perfect.

Bartender had terrible attitude and was gratuitously insulting. If you want your feelings hurt,…read morethen go to this bar and place an order. I was told when I came in that he was a smart ass, but had NO IDEA what was in store on MY BIRTHDAY. I cancelled my order and left. THEN, I saw the owner at a whole other location that approached me (mind you I left his bar to get away from the drama) and offered to buy me a drink, but stated that his bartender, Nick, was mearly offering a joke that I didn't accept. The owner then makes a big scene in front of strangers bc he had then decided he WASN'T going to buy me a drink because I didn't accept his employees behavior. It was a public scene. I've just moved into town. This was embarrassing and I then had to leave the SECOND bar...on my birthday....and just went home. Don't go into this place expecting sincere appreciative service. You will NOT get it from TRENT, and the owner will innapropraitely go out of his way to defend his insulting and hurtful bartender. Do you hear me???? It was hurtful. Not just insulting. Hurtful. They not only ruined my night at "Nick's", but followed me to a completely different location, approached me AGAIN, and insulted me some more. As if the first time wasn't enough.

Service was friendly and perfectly paced. It's quiet inside. Sorry, they do not have gender neutral bathrooms-hopefully they'll be one of the more progressive businesses in Huntsville and more people will dine in; relative to comfort. Food- they have all of the American Italian staples penne alla vodka, Branzino, fettuccine alfredo, chicken breast go on everything! But all of the WONDERFUL MORSELS we crave from Nono's hole in the wall like Stromboli, Grilled chicken salads, calzones and the big one PIZZA!!!! eats we crave from other Italian eateries are missing. (authentic). Maybe they'll upgrade that or add some new things. Most of the dishes, if not all, come with red sauce/pasta, melted cheese broiled on top, and bread. So it's the exact same dishes but different protein. I love the environment here. We were able to eat in peace. My Caesar dressing was sweet and I don't like sweet dressings. The calamari needed seasoning and to be brought out hot. I have no complaints other than the easily fixable stuff. Buddy scraped the eggplant parm plate YUM!! We plan on revisiting soon. It was good food, music needs variety. The outside may look janky but inside is certainly swanky!
