It was a very busy night at Los Arcos service was ok food was kind of bland tasting. The salsa was more like soup very runny. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Mexican music playing[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] . Was not my favorite meals I have had

We used to come here a lot for their taco salad, but since we moved out to the country we don't get here much anymore. Instead of the taco salad I ordered lunch combo#2 which was great. The food was hot and delicious so I gave them 4 out of 5 because I ordered the chile relleno, but what was brought to me was not a chile relleno. But a slice of pepper with meat and cheese on it. Don't get me wrong the food was great just not what I ordered. They say that's how it's done there. I lived in Mexico for a few months so I know what it should be. But I will come back again.

I had my husband order soup for me because I'm not feeling well. I opted to order the vegetable soup (add chicken) because they don't make nor serve Caldo de Res. I find that odd, but many "Mexican" restaurants around Charleston don't serve this and other authentic dishes. Best authentic dishes in the states I've found are in south Texas, Arizona and southern California. It's commercial here. Nonetheless, I ordered their chicken noodle soup also so I could mix the two soups. When I went to mix the chicken noodle- it looked literally from a can. Really? Y'all can't do better? Hopefully my pics will post. We won't eat here again. We've never been impressed, but this tops it!

This is your no frills Mexican restaurant. It has been open for well over 30 years as they were there while I was in elementary school and are still open 20 years after graduating high school. The queso is the selling point. You don't go here without getting the queso. The chicken quesadilla is more like a chicken soft taco. Next time I should just say a cheese quesadilla. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't what I expected. The enchiladas were good and the sauces were nice. You get a full salad essentially with each plate Overall, you're not spending a lot for good food and good service.

35.00 dinner for two. I had the steak and shrimp. They are thin steaks but they are tender enough to cut with your fork and we're juicy We both had tortillas with our food and I stuffed mine with everything but the steak. I am eating the steak tomorrow morning

I'm upgrading to four stars because I did go back and gave it a second chance. This time I ordered the Fried Chimichanga and it was excellent. The Salsa wasn't much better than last time however. It had a little more flavor so hopefully they are taking these reviews to heart. We ordered cheese dip instead. The Service was great as usual. I hope they keep improving. I used the bathroom this time and I must say the bathroom was horrendous.. it needed a good cleaning and refresh. But you don't go out to eat for the bathrooms. The rest of the place is your typical Mexican restaurant. Clean and good Ambience.

Having survived the hurricane, I spent the morning cleaning branches huge and small from the yard and was super-hungry by the end. Hubby came back from checking his workplace downtown and was so impressed by my efforts he said he would take me out for a nice meal. Wherever was open. Streetlights non-functional but nice officers waving traffic through, and we saw this place, which we have been to a million times but apparently I never reviewed, was open. So in we went! Immediate seating with a smile, salsa and chips before I could blink. I got Huevos Rancheros because it was kinda early and a giant margarita because I had already worked hard. Everything was great, everyone was friendly, and we were probably all still thrilled we had made it though another hurricane. Everything you expect from an Americanized Mexican restaurant, with great flavor and Valentina hot sauce on the tables. We'll be back, whenever we feel Tiki Taco is too far to drive.

If I were a Marnier readying ship and crew for a northern course of 4 times 30 days -- and wanted rations of Mextica food, I'd buy it here. The salt content would keep everything well preserved. This not being the case, I doubled dunked my blood pressure meds and went horizontal immediately after dinner, it was to that level. The Carne Asada was a pounded over cooked and pathetic piece of low grade capivara meat, again, heavily salted. Words can not adequately describe just how sticky and gross the side of guacamole was, hands down the worst to date, I couldn't eat it, I just stared at it and played with the goop pile with my straw instead --- for some entertainment value. I'm going with one star as it was a friends place to frequent, but I feel it's not a stretch to say that any one with salt intake issues should steer clear. Much more to say, but I shall end it here.

Los Arcos Mexican Restaurant on Saint James Avenue in Goose Creek is a great place to go for delicious food and drinks in a cool and relaxed atmosphere. I really like the location and the excellent customer service that they provide here.

Stopped in for dinner with family the other night. It was pretty busy, but we were seated quickly. The server was friendly and service was prompt. The food that everyone ordered came out correctly and everything tasted fine for the most part. I ordered Arroz con Pollo and the chicken had a very weird consistency. It was kinda rubbery, but grainy - it was not ok. But chips & salsa were good, so was my rice. And everyone else enjoyed their food.

    Chile Relleno (beef), Chalupas, enchilada

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside wasn't bad, it was clean! Loved the Mexican decor they had on the wall[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. We walked in and got seated right away. Waiter took our drink order and dropped off complimentary chips and salsa. We ordered a Texas fajita and combo #6, chile relleno, chalupa and enchilada. The temperature of the food was ok, but the fajitas weren't sizzling! And had a ton of bell peppers and tomatoes. The shrimp was not deveined. The combo plate.. the best thing was there was a good amount of cheese on the corner of the plate, but it wasn't a chile relleno!! More like season ground beef with a piece of pepper and topped with cheese, I asked the waiter and he said well thats what a chile relleno is!!! Hmmm..NO! And the chalupa... it was a tostada shell with beans, lettuce and some kind of green sauce on top of it with a single slice of tomato! The beef enchilada was mediocre. But the sweet tea was delish!!! Best thing about the entire meal!!! You can bet that was the first and only time we will go there! And this place wasn't cheap either. Better off at Taco Bell. My quest for good Mexican food continues.

Went on a Sunday right at opening. Not. Impressed! I was hoping for a great Mexican food experience instead I got attitude and just undercooked food. We didn't finish. Everyone raves about this place and how great the food is- total disappointment. The server took our order but brought the steak undercooked we had fajitas for 2. The chips and salsa were almost a beg to. We had to ask and the servers respond was "I forgot sorry" hmmm, ok. Floors were not cleaned the door was dirty the forks were not washed correctly. This restaurant is not worth the price of the food not the trip! While everyone raves about it I'll be the odd one here saying thanks but no thanks. You need a whole revamp on service and how to cook food. This place was awful. I am all about giving everything a second chance but with this restaurant I rather just pass.

Cheap food, run down and hasn't changed in years. Plenty of other Mexican restaurants to spend your money.

Wedeged…read moreat the corner of HWY 52 and St. James as you enter Goose Creek (next to the TitleMax Title Loans), this unassuming restaurant kicks out some tasty grinds. *Note: previous tenant was a Caribbean-style restaurant.* Three asada tacos and a bowl of frijoles topped with cheese was the perfect fix for today's taco cravings. Brush up on your Spanish, the employees I talked to during this, and previous visits speak little English. With patience and recalling a little high school Spanish they'll meet your Mexican food needs. Service is typically quick too as it's never very crowded.

The restaurant has maybe 10 tables in it but somehow the server will be too busy to check on you even if you're the only 5 people in the place. Additionally, they will stand next to your table and wait until you've decided what to eat even if it takes you 15 minutes. Its weird. When you get your food (and if you ordered the tacos) prepare to play find the rotten meat. I ordered one of each type of taco and one of them was filled with a meat that was going bad. Disappointing because I love tacos. But don't worry! If you didn't get the tacos, maybe you lucked into getting something that comes with rice and beans. Honestly, these are a staple of any Mexican restaurant and you'd think they would make sure they're bringing a good support cast for the main dish. Well, you thought wrong. The rice and beans were cold. The rice was bland and the beans tasted like they had been first plated a week ago and then mixed with water to remoisturize them. Again, DO NOT EAT HERE. I don't know if they started off good and it's slowly declined; the owners were kidnapped and the people there are maintaining some kind of cover story; or they just don't give a shit. Whatever the reason, find some place else.
