We ate here 3 times during our stay in town for the All-Stars Baseball Tournament. Food was good, great service, and they were able to accommodate our large party of kids and adults. No complaints. Recommended. read more

Staff was friendly. Food, that had a lot to be desired. The chips were fine but the salsa was mediocre. I had the combo 7, 2 beef tacos, beans and rice. First try, the taco shells were stale. Beans and rice were ok. Second try, the tacos did not come with cheese and it was borderline salt lick. The ground beef was so salty. The beans and rice were no bueno. First time here, just passing through town and wow this place is awesome! Huge selection of items I had not seen before. Server was great, kept in touch through our meal. I had not tried Molcajete before; it arrived in a sizzling crock full, and I do mean FULL of steak, chicken, and shrimp on top of onions, mushrooms, peppers and cheese! The dish had rice and refried beans along with tortillas. For Wednesday night, business was low but the food delivered! Mariachi music playing in the background was a nice touch. I read the poor reviews before trying this place, but since it was across the street from my hotel I decided to give it a shot anyway, worst case I could enjoy a drink or two at the bar. I walked in and was immediately greeted. I asked to sit at the bar and before I could even get a look at the menu, chips and salsa were right in front of me. I ordered a standard drink and some really cute girl made me the best handmade margarita I think I have ever had. It was perfect... Very shortly after she took my food order and it was presented within just a few minutes exactly as I had ordered it. Food was hot and while not really zesty it was not bland either. I would say middle of the road for Mexican food in the South. Overall I really couldn't be happier with my meal and the service. There's not much on the menu that differs from all the other Mexican places here...and its pretty Americanized with meals drowning in cheese. I'd prefer to get some authentic places in the area that serves mole, cochinita pibi, elote...etc.. Because we have at least 4 others that serve this type of Americanized Mexican. However, as same-y as the food is here, it is superlative in the way it is seasoned. The carnitas here made the carnitas at Mexico Lindo taste bland in comparison. Tasted like it was marinated in something. The rice is more savory here, not sure why...and i enjoyed the addition of peas in it. Overall just the flavor of everything here is better. I would not recommend this restaurant. Everyone was nice. The establishment seemed clean. The food was flavorless. I ordered the chicken rice deluxe bowl, queso cheese, and a taco. they just opened so take this with a grain of salt. my meal wasn't the best, my taco was very dry but the shell was greasy, the rice wasn't great and the refried beans did not have much taste, they were busy and i could tell the waitresses were stretched pretty thin but she did the best she could. i would probably give this restaurant a second shot in the future, but they have a lot they could improve on, they have a lot of potential. read more
