Okay. I have been a fan of Los Arcos for a long time. My only regret is I had given them a 5star before. I don't know what has happened, but their food now is especially good. I've been coming here off and on for almost 7 years and its definitely improved. They're consistent on the flavor so if you just want some "careful hot plate" Tex-Mex food, you won't be disappointed. The price is reasonable for your standard fare & it usually comes out quickly. I really like their tamales. Sure, I've had better mexican food but if you don't feel like driving into Houston, this is a great little place to have lunch or dinner. A few years ago this place was crappy but they're improving. The waitstaff is friendly & the management is trying to win us back with karaoke & drink specials which is nice. While this used to be our go to spot, close to home, always ordered simple enchilada dinners and margaritas. The margaritas are pricey and watered down, and we were hit with an additional charge for our beans. When asked before what type of beans preferred, there has not been an extra charge and no mention of one or the other being an upcharge. They need to up the alcohol before taking advantage of their customers. Very disappointed and will make another restaurant our new spot. Adios Los Arcos! read more

The food wasn't incredible but no serious complaints. The atmosphere is pleasant, but I do feel like they charge more than what it's worth (portion control and quality). They apparently do live karaoke on Sunday late afternoon/evenings so I definitely will not be going back during that time. My sister and I been to Los Arcos many times and have received a variety of service and food quality. We swore it off for a while, but decided to try again. We ended up with 1 person being served their food and the other sitting and waiting. The waiter never came back to check or bring the rest of our order. When we told the manager, he barely acknowledged there was a problem, charged us for the 1 plate served and told us to have a nice day. In no way did he even give a hint that he cared about what had occurred, not even so much as an "I'm sorry". This just indicated once again, that they don't care about or need our business enough to extend a modicum of courtesy. There is no shortage of Mexican Restaurants in Tomball and because of this we will not be back. So, unless your in a gambling mood, choose one of the other restaurants in town. read more

Although my wife is hispanic and she DID NOT like it...guess that says something knowing how often she cooks authentic/traditional mexican dishes for us. My Wife and I stopped in Tuesday evening for dinner and margaritas, we just moved to Tomball and always seek out the good margaritas! Our server looked to be 14 years old, not that that matters to us but she looked too young to be behind the bar making drinks. She made very bad margaritas with way too much tequila in them, thinking we would tip her more is my guess. It was happy hour and she did not tell us it was happy hour. We overheard her telling the table behind us about happy hour and that all the margaritas were $6. We received the bill and we were charged $12.50 for our margaritas. We asked about the happy hour and was told that "we should have read the board when we came in the front door" and that we would have to pay full price. They were very unprofessional, our waitress lied to our faces and said that she DID tell us about happy hour when the manager began to listen in to the exchange. She tried to throw US under the bus...us...the customer! HA! I am not in the habit of making a scene or arguing with people so I just paid the bill and left. I will not set foot in this place again, the drinks were horrible, the servers that we encountered were lazy and rude, I had to ask for lemons three times and finally went to the bar where our server was butchering our drinks and asked for her for lemons again and she silently grabbed a dish of limes and set them on the bar. Overall, we really felt like we were putting everybody out by being there, even though the place was practically empty. No wonder. Having worked in the service industry, I know a few things and this place is a disaster of management. This place feels like a little local dive bar but is way overpriced. The food is not that good. The queso is obviously out of a can and the ground beef was just dumped on top. Not appetizing at all, no presentation. How this low level of service is allowed to happen across the board is clearly a management issue. Plenty of Mexican food in the area, we will try Agguire's next and never set foot in this crapfest called Los Arcos, again. "Los Arcos", which I am convinced is Spanish for "those A-holes"! read more

This is the WORST place I've ever been !! First the food took over 30 minutes to reach us and when we got it, it was cold !! I soon realized why...they sent out waiter home and no one ever bothered to come back over. If I had not asked for the food we would have been there all day. The manager was a joke ! Good service, great mango margaritas! I had the El Tex Mex dinner, hubby had the Los Arcos special. The taco and the beef enchilada meat had an odd texture and tasted very odd. I recently moved near Tomball about 6 months ago & I tried most of the Mexican restaurants in the area. Los Arcos was the one that stood out for me the most & I absolutely love it!! I try to eat here once a week or once every 2 weeks and I always have to order me some chile con queso, a strawberry margarita & for my main meal either enchiladas al carbon or the Los Arcos special. My food always comes out hot & delicious and I usually end up taking some home. The waitstaff is always incredibly kind to me (probably because they recognize me) Something I wanted to add was about the red salsa- there are days where it doesn't appeal to my taste buds & other days where I absolutely love it, that's my only complaint. I plan on having dinner there tomorrow night, can't wait! read more

We ordered the fajita for two and were given all the options (charro and refried beans, sour cream, shredded lettuce, red sauce, green sauce, pico de gallo, fresh guacamole) our table was filled and we barely had room for our plates! I was staying at Comfort Inn and the group wanted Mexican food. Right in front of the inn is Los Arcos. While convenient, the food was mediocre. The margaritas are great though. What prompted me to give a one star was the fact they over charged me by nearly $10 for my meal! I had a shrimp fajita plate, one jumbo marg and one reg size marg. My total came out to $37 and while paying the check the waitress was speaking Spanish saying what a great deal they gave me. They don't really keep track of what you ordered. This place has been around for such a long time, and it is a tradition in Tomball. The food and service is consistent. The waitstaff is attentive, friendly, and they remember you from previous visits. We have been offered a "sample" of queso dip that turned out to be a full size serving, of course at no charge. My sister and I once tried a premium type margarita that we did not like and only took a couple sips, and the waitress brought us regular margaritas at no charge even though I insisted I would pay for both. The food is not what I would consider "top notch" Tex-Mex but it is consistent, there is a great variety, and the service is great. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. read more

So I went in and it was not so bz around lunch time which was good BUT it still took a long time to get my meal, by the time it came to the table I was ready to go! The food was good BUTTTTT when I was paying I asked the waitress if my chile relleno came with tortillas (since that's the way I get it elsewhere) and she said "No, the morning plate does not come with tortillas just the dinner plate." I then went to ask her what's the price difference because I did not remember seeing it on their lunch menu and she said that there was no price difference, she then said " it's like our tacos in the morning they have less meat then in the evening tacos!" I think that she just came out with a lame excuse instead of saying whoops I forgot to bring them to you! That there just made me not want to go in the day time!! I raised my brow and was like really?! She's like "yeah I know it's weird but that's the way they do it!" And it's so funny cause I use to work for a "Mexican" restaurant long time ago and we never served less meat or no tortillas during the day v.s the night. Went there for dinner with my daughters on Monday evening, they ordered a Chimi and a burrito, I ordered the Bronco dinner. All was fine until I cut into the shrimp enchilada. The smell was really strange, I took one bit and YUCK! The shrimp was bad. I stuck my nose down there and it had that rotten fish smell and it had spilled over on the beef enchilada. I had already eaten some ot the Relleno and the tosatada thing. I called the waitress over, told her it was bad. I was very quiet about it because I figured things happen. She asked if I wanted something else, I declined, my appetite was GONE. She took it to the manager. When she came back with the bill, they had taken a whole $4 off the $11 dollar meal. I was then sick that night so I called back, the manager said, "oh we all checked it out and there was nothing wrong with it." I don't care if I just didn't like it, they should not have charged me for my meal. It wasn't like I ate it all and then complained. That is the worst customer service I have ever heard of. They evidently don't care. I don't ususally complain, even if I don't particularly like something, but this was BAD. Went there when we first moved to Tomball. The place looked interesting. We walked in and it looked like a sort of older mom and pop place, could use to be fixed up a little. The art on the walls was strange as well. All the interactions me and my husband had with anyone in the restaurant felt very sexist. They always asked my husband questions, or told my husband things, but never once even looked at me or took notice of me until I placed my order. Even when we left they said "Have a good evening sir, we hope you come back again." even though I was in front of him, the man just looked over me to him. Anyway, the food tasted very good, I had something made out of steak, and my husband had something with chicken, but later that evening I was stuck in the bathroom with diarrhea and vomiting. FOOD POISONING. That went on for maybe a day or more, but the terrible after effects of it went on for 2 weeks. The worst part was I ate here on the Monday before Thanksgiving, and because I still felt sick for 2 weeks, I was unable to enjoy Thanksgiving! Yeah, we are never going here again! read more

The food is good. They have a lunch menu until 4 pm and you can get a lot of food that way for a good value. We like the warm hot sauce that comes with the chips. The queso flameado with chorizo appetizer was tasty, but greasy. The margaritas were excellent. Overall the food and drinks are a good value for what you get and the service is fast and friendly. But 8 minutes to be seated, 10 minutes to get drinks, having to manually go get my own refills because wait staff don't come check back even when the place isn't particularly busy. Ill also place a pick up order when im at work because it is quick and easy for us. #1 ...One night my husband and i ordered fajitas. well one bite into them and we realized it was POT ROAST. Not the fajitas we where charged for.our friend had ordered a chmichanga with beef fajitas and also got pot roast. #2... They could definitely take a class or two on how to make a margarita.#3... When you eat at the restaurant they give you green sauce for free. But when you place an order to pick up and ask for it they charge. One night we went to have dinner there.#4.. Something just didn't taste right. I am not the type to have a hissy fit and blamed myself because i was on birth control.. being half crazy already ,maybe my taste bugs where not liking mexican food for dinner that night, so i ate a little and then snacked on chips. well lord behold for the next 2 days i couldn't get off the toilet. For the next 4 or 5 days i have horrible stomach pains. I did not enjoy spending so much time on the toilet so ive decide im going to give this place 4 thumbs down. yuck yuck yuck...
