Really good neighborhood spot with great beef tacos, enchiladas, nachos, and margaritas. The staff are always so friendly. Perfect for lunch or dinner.

5.5.22 Due to COVID we have not been here for quite some time. We decide to eat here for a late lunch. (2:30pm) There was only one other table with customers. It was nice and low key. They give you a complimentary chile con queso & Jalapeños at lunch time. (sweet!) The food was as good as I remember. The enchiladas were delicious. Ohhh, the guacamole... Great lunch.

Quaint and relaxing place to come and enjoy some great Mexican food! Tuned and owned by Great Family! Great prices too! My husband and I love the served warm Salsa! Always enjoy our lunches and dinners here!

Don't do group orders from here. Beans are all watery missing a beans and rice and a queso on a 6 plate order... Called back to try and tell her it was wrong and was told that I ordered salsa... food was ready quick but that was about it. Don't recommend. Salsa was very good I will give them that.

Very good Tex -Mex. As soon as I was seated, chips, excellent salsa, queso and jalapeños were presented. I had the #4 from the lunch menu. Two cheese enchiladas (with onions of course) and a crispy beef taco, rice & beans. The food, service and ambiance all five star plus great prices to make it an excellent package. A lot of tables were ordering the fajitas which looked and smelled awesome so I'll be back very soon to give them a try!

I'm so glad this location hasn't changed. I originally would visit the one on louetta, but it's changed too much for my taste. The rice and enchiladas are still great here. Love their crunchy tacos as well. Definitely planning to come back again. It's still one of my favorite little local run restaurants.

Margaritas were large, but using Grand Marnier (instead of Cointreau) made them a little sweet for my taste. My chicken was grilled but a little overcooked. Still, it was pretty good tasting. Hubby's Tacos al Carbon was delicious. Great marinade! Tip: If you like mole, but don't want enchiladas, just ask them to sub Mole for the sauce on any of the chicken plates. I had a side and it was delicious! If I could give it 3.5 stars, I would. For the most part, it met my expectations, just a few things keep me from giving them 4. But - we will be back. :)

I was able to eat them straight from the dish. The staff was very polite and always checking on me at the table. I wish they had horchata available, but they don't. I'd come back and try out their fajitas next time!

The hospitality is casual, while also warm, and accommodating. When they first opened, you could walk in and get a table almost anytime. These days, I recommend calling ahead because they've become deservedly busy--and I'm so happy to see it. The enmoladas are a standout, the salsas are fantastic, and the alambre is my personal guilty pleasure. I also love that mezcal is offered alongside the tequila selections in their cocktails. This is not Tex-Mex. The menu draws primarily from the culinary traditions of Mexico City and Puebla. Mandi Cocina has become a place I'm always excited to return to.

However, today, instead of leaning into a familiar go to, and after passing by driving on the parkway without giving them a second glance, I decided to double back and grab a takeout order from Mandi Cocina Mexicana. In a sea of Tex Mex, Mexican Food sounded like a refreshing alternative. And although the shopping strip was unassuming, the interior floors were concrete and the booths dated, the energy around dinner time, antique decor, Mexican tile work and smiles of the servers had my mouth watering in anticipation of trying the food. The food itself was fine. I can't say that the cuisine stood out any more than other competitors, but then again we only tried a few dishes. Specifically, my husband found the quesadillas to be standards, and I found the fajita meat to be juicy, but the meat, onions and peppers lacking the sear and char you'd expect from the dish. Nevertheless, due to the customer service I'll be back to try their additional dishes.

Service was fantastic/friendly, with the owner and server stopping by frequently to check on us or just have a friendly chat. Food consisting of Mixed Fajitas for 3 (Beef, Chicken, Carnitas) was the best we have tasted. Sizzling, flavorful, tender meat, fantastic blistered Jalapeños (Toreados), and grilled onions, served with four tortillas. Quantities were ample and the complimentary chips, Salsa (2 kinds), and Queso (2 kinds) were warm and tasty! The whole meal set us back $82, including taxes and tip. Margaritas were not great and had little flavor but still pricey. I had a hibiscus flavored one. It had a shot of red juice/liquid poured into the center of the frozen margarita. It didn't taste like anything. not sweet or sour? very bland for a place that has Margaritas in its name! We ordered fajitas for two. Fajitas consisted of a piece of fajita meet over a plate of onions. No bell peppers to be found. Taste was bland, no seasoning detected. Salsa was very mild, watery with lots of onions. No real taste. Side rice and beans were okay, but nothing special. Smal scoop of guacamole was added. Flour tortillas were good. Meat was tender but very chewy. Had very little flavor and a small serving for two. Basically, it was hardly enough to make 2 tacos each. Meat and onions only. Cost was $48.00? Check your bill before paying, ours rang up at a higher price on the bill. They corrected it after we asked about it. But we had to show them the menu to prove our point. Overall, this place has potential. After so many good reviews maybe cost have been cut? They need to do better. Plenty of great restaurants in the area. Someone would have to insist on going here before we try this place again. Overall, it was $90.00 meal for 2 on a Saturday evening (5PM) Good Luck, hope this helps.
