Who knew Dahlia was our plan D for the night? We weren't able to get a table without a solid 30+ min wait at restaurants A, B, and C, and upon Yelp searching it up, we stumbled upon Lady Dahlia, and they luckily had a table for 4 available. And it turned out to be one plan D alright, plan Delicious! Lively, fun atmosphere that's good for happy hour but also still appropriate for a family meal out. Appetizers we enjoyed were croquettes, coconut shrimp, and meat empanadas. All were crispy, flavorful, and appetizing. On another visit, the maple glazed pork belly was a favorite, with the fatty meat and bed of sweet potatoes and walnut. Flautas and chicken nachos were also crowd pleasers, but less unique. The taco salad is a good light option, and if you feel like something heavier and heartier, the burrito or enchiladas will hit the spot, though I thought my burrito could use more cheese or a little more texture. Tequila may not be the answer, but it's worth a shot. I recommend the classic margarita, which is $12 and a bit modest sized but very tasty. Can't wait to try some other cocktails on my next visit. Our server Gabby on our first visit and Filip on visit two were polite, attentive, and helpful. Kudos all around, and see you soon, Lady D!

Went for brunch and was not disappointed. The brunch menu is limited but the options offered something for everyone. We started with mimosa and a mimosa flight. The flight included a grapefruit mimosa, a blood orange and jalepaño, they all were tasty but the blood orange was my favorite. We started with the street corn croquettes , breaded corn topped with chipotle aioli. They were excellent the inside was smoky corn, melted Cotija cheese, and a white sauce. The Churro French Toast was a standout. It was thick slices of bread with a cinnamon-sugar crust, topped with fruit and drizzled with a cream sauce. It was not to rich since the cream sauce was not on top. My husband and daughter had the breakfast steak tacos. The steak was marianted and smoky. Overall, brunch was excellent and service was top notch.

Came here to celebrate my best friends birthday and this place did not disappoint. Drinks were SO tasty. Food was phenomenal, the homemade tortillas were so flavorful and always so much better than store bought #chefskiss. The service was good. The ambiance was absolutely beautiful. Loved all the accent walls and ceiling decorations. We will definitely be back. Dropped one star because one of our friends has a seafood allergy and was only suggested one item that he could eat from the menu, the chicken bowl. We were told their chips are fried in the same oil as their seafood and wasn't sure of the whole pan/cooking situation.

Short rib taco, grilled shrimp taco and crispy aguacate taco.

Came here for the first time and had Jose for our waiter. He was amazing! The food was incredible too. Taco Tuesday did not disappoint! Tried the grilled shrimp taco with pineapple pico, short rib taco and the aguacate taco. The flavors were truly the best. Normally I don't like corn tortillas but these were next level!

Lady Dahlia is such a cute spot. I love their decor and it's definitely a fun spot for Margaritas and tacos with your friends. This was my first time there and it did not disappoint. FOOD: the chips and salsa was good. The salsa definitely has a kick to it. I ordered the steak taco dinner with rice and sub the black beans for elote. The steak tacos were good and had really good spices but I thought it was a little salty. However, the elotes were amazing! It was kind of Smokey which I really liked. For drinks, I order the clover cocktail which is a speciality drink for St. Patrick's. The cocktail was not overly sweet and it had a more floral scent-- may be hibiscus. I thought it was great! I wish it's on their main drink menu because I would get it every time. I definitely want to try other things there. I think it's a really fun Mexican spot in the suburbs.

I have now been to Lady Dahlia's twice, and have been more than impressed both times. I ordered the veggie enchiladas with green sauce the first time (not a menu item, but they will gladly make it for you if you're looking for a vegetarian option). I ordered them with the red sauce the second time, and my friend had the steak tacos. The pineapple jalapeño margarita is probably one of the best margaritas I've had in a very long time. The tequila is fresh and clean, and cocktail itself is perfection. I am obsessed with the decor here! It's very trendy and modern and makes for a great girls' night out or a date spot. The staff is very friendly and attentive as well. I can't wait to visit again!

I am very picky about Mexican food, but Lady Dahlia did not disappoint!!! Our service was a bit slow in terms of waiting awhile to order, but the food came out fast. The inside was very fun, I want to go back soon during the weekend to get margs. We went on Tuesday & they were having a $2 taco Tuesday deal. The tacos were pretty small, so I'm not sure if they would be worth the price on a regular day. All of our food was SO GOOD. Definitely some of the best shrimp tacos I've ever had. They didn't have much on them but the sauce on top of them was addicting. I started with 2 and had to order a 3rd because it was so good. We also got chicken taquitos that were super crunchy & came with another delicious sauce. Highly recommend checking this place out for taco tuesday!!!

I've been wanting to try Lady Dahlia in Mt. Prospect for a while, and I finally made it! The food was delicious. I had the three cheese enchiladas and the three cheese bowl, and both were super flavorful. The portions are generous--you get rice, beans, salad, and guac with your meal, so it's very filling. We also tried the queso fundido, but it wasn't what I expected. I thought it would be more like a classic queso dip, but it didn't quite hit the mark. That said, the entrées definitely made up for it. For vegetarians, the main filling option is cheese, which is great if you're a cheese lover like me, but I'd love to see more variety with veggie-based fillings in the future. The decor is beautiful, with a cozy and charming atmosphere, and they even have a small party room for events. The service, though, was on the slower side, so I'd recommend going when you have time to relax. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'll definitely be back. A few more vegetarian options would make it even better!

Happy Hour Chips + Salsa + Guacamole

I recently took my friend to Lady Dahlia Tequila Bar to celebrate his birthday, and while the atmosphere was very cute and vibey with attentive service, the food didn't quite meet our expectations. We enjoyed the two items they offered during happy hour, sampling their classic margaritas as well as their guac & chips & salsa. We also ordered street corn croquettes, mango ceviche, braised short rib Oaxacan pizza, and steak manchego tacos. The margaritas and guac were delicious and of great value during happy hour, but the rest of the food felt overpriced for what it delivered. The corn croquettes missed that oomph. I was hoping for a crispy texture, but they were a lot mushy and lacked that flavor. The mango ceviche was similarly underwhelming, with an interesting flavor, and the chips served with it tasted too similar to the pizza crust and the tortilla chip. Everything just started to taste the same at one point. The tacos were salty, although the short ribs on the pizza were flavorful and well-prepared. I'd go back for the happy hour margaritas and guacamole, plus their $2 taco Tuesday special to try all the tacos they offer.

Came here for happy hour and was not happy at all. The HH menu I saw online changed drastically from what was offered. Their HH is daily 4-6 for only $8 classic margaritas and $5 chips salsa and guac. That's it. How is that happy?!? We paid $12 for three small short rib empanadas and they were incredibly greasy/ oily. After two bites it was a bit that was bland. You were tired of the taste and would crave something more. The sauce on top didn't help or elevate the flavor of the food either. My friend purchased a taco meal and was informed about other sides that could be substituted. Mind you, this information is not presented on the menu. He opt for plantains over the rice and was charged a $2 change fee. Like what?! Spent $60 minus the tip for the meal and left incredibly hungry.

Such a cute find off the mount prospect metra train stop. The interior is beautiful, but we wanted to sit outside on this nice day. Our service was great, and we loved the happy hour chips/guac/salsa deal! I wish the other cool margaritas and cocktails were on the happy hour menu though. I got the pineapple jalapeño margarita and cucumber margarita off the regular menu, and both were refreshing and delicious. The spice definitely has a kick in both the pineapple habanero guac and pineapple jalapeño margarita! Chips were great too. We shared the corn and avocado ceasar salad and steak bowl. Both were delicious and big portions. The chicken was so flavorful and marinated. I didn't love the small cut up steak portions in the bowl, but all the other toppings were great! I would definitely recommend this spot - it's definitely a good find in the suburbs!

I have been to this place twice now. When is journed the afternoon? After pickleball, and the other is at night with some girlfriends. The vibe of the place was totally different from both days. Our server was great both times and no complains about the service. I did order their shrimp tacos both times as well. Because that's what was memorable for me. The first time I went and I felt like it wasn't the same both times but it was still good. I also liked their mocktail but honestly forgot what i ordered. But ill probably remember it when i see it. Lol Happy eating!

If you're looking for a good happy hour spot, Lady Dahlia provides a great atmosphere with excellent service. Came on a Wednesday with some friends and got the chips and guacamole HH special. The chips were pleasant - fried and salted just right. The guac was also seasoned perfectly and there's a generous amount. I had a couple margaritas since all the margs were part of the happy hour special - pineapple jalapeno and ginger peach. Delicious, light, and perfect on a summer day. They had the right amount of oomph to relax you. Can we talk about the service?? The staff here is incredible! The speed and attention to detail is better at Lady Dahlia compared to many high end restaurants. Whether it's filling your water, providing suggestions, taking away plates, and more, the staff here is well trained and made my table feel well taken care of. Our table also ordered chicken empanadas with a side of plantains and a nacho pizza without the meat, and these were all quickly devoured. The plantains were the right amount of sweet, not mushy, and paired well with the empanadas. What a nice experience at Lady Dahlias. They really take care of you and make you feel special. Definitely a place to visit over and over.

She had just served the guests on either side of me and appeared to intentionally skip over me. In response to my comment, she began yelling at me and refused to serve me. When I eventually did receive a drink, she continued to shout obscenities at me while I was attempting to close my tab. In an effort to de-escalate the situation, I initially left a generous tip. She looked at it, laughed in my face, and stated, "You think I care about your tip? I'm rich from bartending here." I requested a manager multiple times. When one finally came out, no effort was made to meaningfully address the behavior. The bartender continued to leave her station to yell at me, and management allowed it to happen. As I was leaving, I asked for the owner's contact information so I could report the incident. Instead, I was given a fake business card, told to "go f*** myself," informed that I was banned, and threatened by the doorman, who said he would "beat the s*** out of me." I have been a regular customer and have brought large groups here in the past. Based on this experience, I will not be returning. The conduct displayed by both staff and management reflects a culture that tolerates hostility toward paying customers. If ownership values accountability, they should review their security footage from that evening. The treatment I received speaks for itself.
