    Taquitos

We stopped in here while driving around west Haven. The place was super clean...maybe too clean because the smell of cleaner was a bit strong, but better than being dirty. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I went with the taquitos with rice and beans and it was delicious and more than enough food for the price.

Nice little restaurant in West Haven offering the typical menu items you find at these locations. Very similar to other shops around town and conveniently located out west a little bit. This location had take out, a drive thru, and nice in store dining. Food was good, big portions and great breakfast burrito options. Two things I don't care for here: First, they charge a card fee of ~4% that shows up on the receipt after taxes so round everything up 1/2 a buck or so on price and second, their POS system "tip shames" at the register before you really receive any service or food.

The other day I was working from home and wanted carne asada fries, so I gave this place a try.

If you told me that this place was your Hispanic friend's favorite spot I would not be surprised…read more We ordered three tacos (pollo, asada, and birria) and added cheese, lettuce and pico, and they were soooo good! There were a perfect size... they felt a little bigger than street tacos but not overbearing. I also dipped them in the green salsa that comes with the chips and damn, that salsa is good. My partner got 3 birria enchiladas smothered in red sauce and the flavors were all there. The only thing we should have done differently was ordered all 3 meats in the enchiladas. It was impossible to choose a favorite meat option. The rice was cooked to perfection and fluffy. And the beans were the perfect consistency. The server was incredibly sweet and attentive. The music was a perfect playlist of Spanish hip hop and pop. Idk what the lyrics mean but they are probably telling their friends how good this place The decor is so badass! It has a custom painted dia de muertos mural celebrating the city of Ogden. This place just feels like a love of the food. It shows in the feeling you get when you walk in the door as well as with every bite of food. Like, can I have my birthday party here?

They are made by the order, so they are fresh and piping hot when you get them. They are packed with cheese and whichever protein you choose. We got the beef one and I daydream about it all the time. They are massive too! Also, their horchata is the best I have had in UT so far. Not too sweet and not watered down. The service is awesome- they are quick and efficient and make you feel welcomed. I also love the ambiance of the place and how it is like a hidden gem. Cannot wait to go back!

A birthday surprise I'll never forget!…read more This restaurant came highly recommended by a former employee, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. From the moment we sat down, everything impressed us. I tried a mezcal cocktail for the first time, the blueberry mezcal, and it was incredibly unique, smoky, slightly sweet, and just overall delicious. For food, we ordered the corn, poblano tamales, and the chorizo steak burrito. Every bite was packed with flavor. Portions were generous, so much so that we ended up taking leftovers home (always a good sign!). But the true highlight of the evening? The birthday celebration. Our waitress asked if we were celebrating anything, and I casually mentioned a birthday at the end of the month. She smiled and said, "Leave the rest to me." I had no idea what was coming... Suddenly, the entire bar lit up? iterally. Flames shot up like a volcano erupting, the staff came out with fire, bubbles, and this incredible energy. It felt like a full-on performance. Then came a rich chocolate cake soaked in liqueur that was just as dramatic as it was delicious. It wasn't just dinner, it was an experience. If you're looking for amazing food, creative drinks, and unforgettable celebrations, this place delivers on all of it. We'll definately be back.

For a second I wondered if they were closed, but someone eventually came out and seated me. That initial vibe had me a bit concerned, but I stuck it out. I started with the chips, corn, and guacamole, which was decent, nothing mind-blowing but fresh enough and got the job done. The Cadillac Margarita ($20) was a disappointment though. It was basically a glass of ice with way too much lime juice dominating everything; I could barely taste the tequila. The Michelada was better, solid and refreshing, and the service was about the same: friendly and attentive enough once they got going, but nothing standout. But holy smokes, that asada stuffed burrito saved the whole meal. The asada was ridiculously tender, perfectly seasoned, and packed with flavor. Juicy, smoky, melt-in-your-mouth beef wrapped in a solid burrito. That one item alone made me glad I came. Overall, the place has some hits and misses. If the asada is what you're after, it's worth it. Just maybe skip the Cadillac marg and don't expect a lively atmosphere on a slow night. I'd go back for the burrito.
