We always have great service, great food, and a great time when we eat at Los Cabos. The food is solid (tasting, not in consistency) and the drinks are large and reasonably strong. This is a really nice little restaurant! The salsa has a kick to it , and it's so good. I had a combo plate with a taco and a chile relleno, and they were seasoned well and tasty. The music fits the restaurant well, it's at a good volume so I could have a conversation with my lunch partner. Really love this small town Mexican restaurant. The portions are plentiful and the food is always great. I am typically not a fan of refried beans but these are really delicious. Ordering take out or dining in, the food is consistent and the staff is always so friendly and quick. The one thing I always try first at most Mexican restaurants is the mole. If they can make a good mole, the rest is almost always good. They make a mean mole, more on the sweet side vs bitter and that's a win for me every time! read more

I was having a set of new tires installed on my truck and, heck, it was lunch time so why not, I walked on down to the Los Cabos Mexican Restaurant. I had been here at least a hundred times or there abouts so I figured it was time I let the world know what I think of them and I do indeed like them rather well and always have. Every time I have been there the place has been all sparkly clean, with everything picked up and wiped down and the floors are always swept, mopped and in good shape. I had the Lunch Special Burrito, which always hits the spot with toppings of sour cream, guacamole and lettuce with chips and salsa to start you off, and then of course there is always the lively Mexican music going on in the background to set the mood for us customers. The waiters are always really polite and helpful and attentive. I no more then gulp down my last swallow of beer and they are always right there offering me another. Which brings me to the 4 stars instead of 5... well, I do like the craft beers quite a lot which Los Cabos does not offer, dang it! But thats ok, for a town as small as Creswell, I would say that we are dang lucky to have them and I shall indeed head right on back down there when ever I'm in the mood for some pretty good Mexican cuisine. read more

Well what do I say Not to be super negative about a local place? Here is the problem with this place and has nothing to do with Covid! We had arrived and was seated quickly, but after that we had waited 30 min to even get service and when we did it was not very comfortable. There was no greeting! "Good afternoon, hello" nothing just " what would you like" I wanted to leave but felt maybe they are over worked, but that was not the issue, Staff was just hanging out talking and didn't seem to be worried about customers! The food was not all that great anymore, it seems like they are there just for a paycheck and not the service! Hopefully for the sake of there bussiness they will fix this issue. This is the digital age and word spreads fast. Maybe new owner or management? If this happens maybe I will try it again So if you ask me if I would recommend at this time, my answer is NO read more

This is a difficult review to write...first of all, I am confidant that I may have had the best chile relleno of my life Friday night. The "service" that we received was some of the worst. We were in town for the Duck game the following day in Eugene and wanted to avoid the busyness of the local restaurants. I remembered, being the financially savvy chick that I am, that I had previously purchased a Restaurant.com certificate for Los Cabos. The decision was made! Upon being seated, I showed the hostess my smart phone with the certificate on it. I had read the certificate but wanted to ensure there were no other exclusions. She didn't seem to understand my question, I'm assuming due to the language barrier. Our server came to the table and I showed him my phone and asked if there were any issues and if alcohol was included. Si! So, we ordered three meals and several drinks. My order was wrong, no big deal. He caught the mistake before serving my plate and was back within five minutes. Our meals were very good. I have never had a chili relleno that was prepared so well! My Mom had a small nachos with shredded beef, and it was huge. My man folk had two chicken enchiladas and a shredded beef taco. Yum. Everyone was happy! The problems came at the cash register. I showed my phone to the gentlemen and he said that we would have to print the cert and they don't use smartphone apps. Again, based on a possible language barrier, I explained that this wasn't my fault and that there was nothing on the certificate that stated this. In hindsight, I could have also mentioned that I had asked two employees about any issues. After "discussing" this several minutes, our waiter came to the register and proceeded to remove the $25 from our bill. I felt like I was trying to get away with something shady! If you don't want to use this type of marketing, don't do it. If you do, then don't make a customer, who was, just a few minutes previously, a patron that would return again. Upon leaving, the waiter didn't even respond to my two "thank you for helping" remarks. What, now we're in second grade? Rude. Too bad. I was a huge fan of their food. I won't return because of their poor customer skills and that I was made to feel that I had done something wrong. read more

The King was out on his Kingly duties when I had the sudden urge for sustenance. While deciding where to feast I came upon this establishment that served food from a far away kingdom called, "Mexico". Although it was pronounced by it locals working in the King's kingdom as "me-hi-co". I was greeted by a smiling and merry hostess. After noticing that the King will be feasting alone, she escorted me to a table and asked if it was satisfactory for a person of my status. I agreed that the seating arrangement presented was quite satisfactory. I was given a bill of fare from which to decide from a vast array of Mexican delicacies. After a short while the hostess returned with some tortilla chips and two types of potions called salsas, one was green and the other red. I was also not ready to decide and demanded more time to choose. The hostess graciously accepted and carried onto the other patrons. Curiously and cautiously I tried the green potion first and was delighted by it's taste. Although it was a spicy concoction it was quite delightful in the amount of heat that was delivered onto my palate. Daringly I also tried the red one, and was quite hotter than the green yet still satisfactory in taste and amount of heat given. Back to the bill of fare I went after quenching my curiosity on the salsas. At first, The King was shocked at the prices that were demanded for the items presented. I have never paid such a price for Mexican fare in all my travels and seemed unreasonable. WIth great disdain for the prices The King ordered the platter of two cheese enchiladas and a taco, which would be served with a side of beans and rice at a price of $10.50. For that price I expected a fine feast that would be remembered. After a few moments of consuming chips by alternately dipping them between the green and red sauce my plate had finally come. The food looked plentiful and quite large in size. However, like The Queen keeps reminding me in the King's bed chamber is that size does not matter, but the content is important. From the beginning there was a faint disturbing odorr that was protruding from the side of beans and was quite a disappointment. I started my meal with the taco. The chicken was not seasoned well and just with salt. Every bite caused the taco to run it's watery juices upon my dish. Not pleasing one bit. The meat needed to be drained more prior to being put into the shell. The enchilada was quite good and cheesy. The King had no complaints on this portion of the meal. The rice was quite a bit bland and only became flavored when the red salsa was added. Overall the meal was quite weak in flavor and overall satisfaction. The King feels quite taken advantage of or paying hefty coin for food that was not worth it. I felt as if I was taken advantaged of and horns-waggled. The King paid for the meal and left with quite disdain of getting mediocre fare for a premium price. The King will not be returning. If you have the opportunity to roam through my kingdom on the I-5 road, there are much better fare in my city of Eugenia. read more

There were a couple of locals enjoying lunch so we decided to stay. I ordered a tamale with rice and beans, my friend chile verde, pork. We asked for black beans instead of retried. I should have known better. Los Cabos feels like its soul and passion for cooking was sucked from its bones, leaving what could almost be considered Mexican food in its place. A few of us decided to stop here for lunch with aspirations of leaving with full bellies if nothing else. Wrong. I went ahead and ordered a shredded beef 2 taco combo plate with soft corn tortillas, usual sides of beans and rice included, and an additional side of pork tamale. When I received my order there were two hard shell tacos staring at me intently with what they called "shredded beef." I'm a pretty easy going person and I understand orders sometimes aren't communicated all that well, so I dive into my taco. With the first bite I'm met with the thud of a stale taco shell, immediately followed by an overly-salted poorly-seasoned piece of what I can only assume was tendon and fat. My heart sank into my stomach knowing this was the only way I'll be full from this meal. I tried my hardest to choke down the rest of the taco, hoping the rice and beans would help add moisture to the salted stale abomination I had just ingested. Wrong again...just more salt. After finally slamming down the first taco in a fit of anger, I get to the second one. By this time the salted brine of the shredded beef made it's way through the stale exterior of the taco walls, and as I picked it up disintegrated into a mushy pile of corn and beef. At this point I had given up, but alas! My pork tamale that I had forgotten about while struggling to finish my tacos. "Maybe there is redemption", I thought. Wrong for the last time. Usually when you get a pork tamale there is pork in it. This tamale took a full dissection to discover any evidence of pork inside. The single strand of pork I managed to find was my last sliver of hope. Good luck if you choose to eat here. I hope your experience is better then mine. I will say, the staff was pleasant enough, and that's why I gave two stars instead of one. read more

Delicious. We pulled off the highway and were happy to see Mexican food after sandwich lunches for days. Very helpful and quick. We ordered chicken taco plate, 2 ala carts chicken tacos and a cheese quesadilla to go. The food was delicious. The tacos were a little soggy but it was still yummy. I havent eaten here in a long time. Mainly because I didnt think the food was very good - average perhaps. But a friend wanted to eat there and convenience drove the location. I ordered the chili colorado and asked for it caliente. What I got was a bunch of dry red pepper poured into the sauce - nice (not nice). Although I appreciate you wanting to fulfill my request I shouldn't find myself disappointed when I eat it and it just tastes like red pepper. The chef has no creativity whatsoever. Please man- Mexican cooking has a lot to offer in terms of spice and heat why go the easy route by just pouring in a bunch of red pepper? Sounds like a lazy man in the kitchen to me. Think about it? Infused habanero pepper oil? Take your garden-variety olive oil and throw a couple of cut up habanero peppers in it and the next day you got yourself some heat. Try the same technique with jalapeño peppers? Yum. I'm not a professional chef but even I can come up with some interesting and delightful spicy flavors. How about a special spicy relish or salsa? Something you just don't serve all the time? Special o' the day chili Colorado? $13 one margarita with a shot? $12 Its clean and the servers are attentive. Just moved to Creswell and love supporting local businesses. Decided to give Los Cabos a try tonight and we were both disappointed in the food, service and overall atmosphere. Upon arrival we were seated and given menus, that were very sticky. Mine actually had dried salsa in it. Server did not have much personality. Of course we are new comers and needed a few minutes to review the menu and he didn't seem to appreciate this. Chips and salsa were decent and we had high hopes for our meal. Food arrived fast and was piping hot, but the rice was mushy and flavorless. The beans were bland and even with salt we were not able to eat them. He had chicken which was dry and bland. He never uses salt and home and actually added salt to his meal in hopes of salvaging it. The shredded beef enchilada was probably the worst I have ever had. Bland meat, tortillas was mushy and the sauce was bland and left an odd taste. The Tamale was the best thing we ordered and it was mediocre at best. We were given our bill and not once were asked how our meal was. The lady at checkout took our payment without a thank you or even a smile. Even though I tried to be friendly. There are not many choices in our new small town so we are very sad that we have already crossed one off the list. read more

I highly recommend the fantastic margaritas. The menu is extensive. I've been here a couple times now and both dishes (the chicken enchilada and the chicken rancheros) come out steaming hot and fresh tasting. The starter chips are warm and perfectly crunchy. My mom was only slightly disappointed in the complementary salsa because it has no chunk to it. I think it's still yummy and the salsa verde is always more important to me. The service is fast and friendly. Everyone who works here is on their toes and never make you feel like you're an inconvenience like some busy restaurants can lean towards. It's a large dining room but is packed each time I've gone for an early dinner. I always take that as a good sign, I can tell it's a loved establishment in the town. I can see why! Affordable yet it's high quality. Absolutely will visit again and I know my parents, who live not that far out of the area will be back as well! read more

I live in Creswell and eat here once or twice a month. It's good. I don't get why some might say it's not "authentic" Mexican food - the restaurant is owned and all the staff are Mexican. Okay, okay... I get that the food can still be "Americanized", but it is quite good. They do have a pretty extensive menu. The service is great! Oh, and the margaritas a good (and strong) and they have several kinds to choose from. read more

I've been here twice, once last fall and then again a few weeks ago. It's a good pit stop when you're driving the I-5 corridor and are sick of fast food. This is some of the best Mexican food I've had in the state. Hands down. It's not cheap, but there is so much food and it's so good, it's worth it to pay a little more and then have leftovers. Carne asada is excellent. Chicken fajitas excellent. They pick good cuts of meat and know how to cook them. Service, interior, all that is okay. Not too exciting. But given how most mexican restaurants are average in Oregon (Mexican food gets better as you get closer to Mexico, methinks), this one has food that is so much better, it is "as good as it gets" in Oregon so I have to give it five stars.
