Food was excellent! We were all so happy with our lunch and will definitely be back next time we're in town. I've noticed some comments about bad service. I, however, did not experience this. We were excited to try this place based on the menu and reviews from others. Really Disappointed!? :(. Just leaving now. We were a family of 8 and they had 5 open tables that could accommodate 6 or so each. We asked if they could put a couple together for us. They told us they couldn't do that - we'd have to wait for a bigger table to open up. As more tables opened up, they cleaned them and the 8 of us just stood there? Not a word from any hostess or waiter to acknowledge we were still standing there waiting?? Really kind of rude and totally lacking customer service? We finally just left and came to Dirty Al's where people are always greeted with friendly smiles and an awesome experience - every single time!! Sad we didn't get to try Los Cabos and sad we won't be going back either. A simple smile would have gone a long way. read more

We were here for breakfast. Mom had biscuits and gravy which we said was good. Frank had bacon and eggs. Eggs were perfect and bacon excellent. I had ham omelette that was expertly presented and delicious. read more

I'm all about the breakfast. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. We walked in to Los Cabos without a recommendation from anyone. To our surprise, this is going to be our new favorite place for breakfast in Port Isabel. They had the best munudo i have ever had at a restaurant. It rivals my mother's no joke. we also shared a bacon and egg giant taco. The bacon was very flavorful and nice and crispy just like i like it. There is nothing worse than soggy bacon. Here is the bad part of it, I asked if we could have a regular size taco for the kids and they said they only sell the giant ones. Not so kid friendly taco place. read more

Have eaten in literally every restaurant in PI - hands down think this one is the best! We eat here a few times a week and have never been disappointed, the service has always been phenomenal. Last nite I had fried shrimp which included some of the largest shrimp I've ever eaten. Don't even get me started about the burger cuz it is full of AWESOMENESS and so are the onion rings! Went Saturday morning with my boys on our way back home from the beach for breakfast. Hadn't seen this place before, sign in the corner passing the light house caught my eye so I headed that way to check it out. Staff was very friendly, attended us right away. Took order for beverages as we looked over the menu, didn't take long to bring them out. My Lil one was going to order 2 breakfast tacos thanks to the waiter he let us know tacos were a pretty good size so I took his word for it and ordered him just one. I was glad I did :) When we got our food I saw what he was talking about. Appreciated the input he gave while placing order, it would have been to much food if I had ordered him the 2 tacos. My oldest ordered a bacon, egg & cheese omlet and I ordered a spinach omlet. Plates came with toast, hash brown, lettuce&tomato. Was very pleased with our meals absolutely delicious also pleased with the reasonable prices and service. Coffee was the best... Waiter was attentive and came often to check if we needed refills or anything else. We are defidently returning and recommending this place!! read more

Had lunch there today. Workers and winter Texans filled the small place. Don't expect ambience but the food is made from scratch. You're immediately served your drinks with the usual: chips and salsa. But, then we got a small bowl of tortilla soup. Nice flavor. I ordered the Ashley shrimp quesadillas and hubbie ordered the fish po'boy. The seasoning on the shrimp was good. A side of salsa with cilantro, tomatoes, etcetera and a dish of Spanish rice was served. The bread on the PO' boy was fresh and tasty, fish lightly breaded. Fries came with. Will return. read more

Came here with the family, thought things were going in the right direction when we were seated promptly. After 20min of sitting with no one even asking for drinks finally got someone's attention. Then after watching staff run around for another 20 min finally had to ask someone if we could order our food. Needless to say we didn't get food for almost an hour. We've had good experiences here for both lunch and dinner. They have a nice selection of menu items. We've tried the egg and ham taco, chicken fried steak special, chicken fajita plate, fried shrimp plate, carne guisada plate. All were delicious. The meals came with soup and chips/salsa, also very good. They make their own flour tortillas, which are amazing. Small, plain diner atmosphere; a step or two below casual. Good service. Clean. The place was one of the only ones open on a holiday. However they probably should not have bothered. First they were out of coffee. Then they were out of sweet tea. Later they were out of chicken for mole. Then as if to top that off they pass a plate of mole to the treble next to us as if to taunt. Now this might not sound all that bad on their own. However this is a restaurant. Where is the trouble with them in making more? They were probably eager to leave. That's even before the food even got here mind you. They got my order wrong and I had to remind them to bring the rice beans and tortillas. That on top of how they never brought chips and salsa like most restaurants and waters that seemed to be absent for everything except to charge us in the end and shove us out the door. All things considered I'm being very generous not rating them lower. Partly because it was not a regular business day but a national holiday and they were one of the few actually open at the time. read more

We have only had their breakfast. Los Cabos is a must for our annual S. Padre trip. We eat breakfast here at least once while down. The prices are great and so is the food. The tacos are massive! This place is horrible when it comes to service. Waited 15 min for someone to get our drink order, 20min just to bring our drinks and almost an hour for food. They even made a customer get out of a table to sit someone else. Who does that? Many people walked out and left. Even saw a waitress redo a drink order for a table because the first waitress forgot about their drinks. The food it self wasn't that bad. Tacos are huge, but not worth the wait. Very disappointed and mad. The service was horrible for my family. The waitress never came to our table and when she did it was to make my family feel harassed and ashamed. When my mother asked what the specials were she replied with "it's on the menu" when my mother was ready to order she said "I'll take the carne asada" the waitress replied with "we don't have it!" When asked what the shrimp plate is, she once again replied with "it's on the menu". Another waitress brought the utensils due to ours being on her cellphone the entire time. When about to leave the waitress insisted we opened our to go box to ensure that it was in fact our meal in the box. It was humiliating to have to go through our food like if we were stealing from the restaurant. Never again will my family go there and if asked I will ensure to let people know the horrible service that we received. If possible I would give it zero starts. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER AT A RESTAURANT. I reserved our table and they gave it to another family who came in after us. Instead of saying sorry they lied to our faces multiple times. Then finally when we sat down they asked my grandma to move because she was "too big" and "fat" (which is untrue). I've never been so insulted. They then gave us horrible service and even worse food. Been here several times for both Breakfast and Lunch. Food is great. Love their tortillas. They offer a huge variety of traditional authentic Mexican plates. They also offer a All-You-Can-Eat Fish & Chips special. I don't eat seafood but have been told their fish is very good. Have had Tacos for breakfast and Milanesa, Quesadillas, and Fajitas for lunch. Heard their burgers are not too bad. Gotta try that next time. read more

The food was ok but I've had better. The charro beans were very watery (literally no beans in the bowl). I had a Chile relleno and it was ok. The waitress was very opiniated when we would ask for things. I asked her for a cup of water with a slicr of lemon and she immediately said that they sell lemonade. I was not impressed. My family and I come down to South Padre every year but this was our first time eating at Los Cabos. The service was pretty fast, waiters were nice, and the portions of food were quite large. Especially the all you can eat Fish special. The food was very very good. We had the "Erik's burger and All You Can Eat Fish" and we highly recommend them. They give you chips and salsa to start, and let me tell you their salsa.....D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S!! Then they give you a bowl of bean soup (frijoles charros) as an appetizer, (comes with all the food). Pleasantly Surprised! :) :) Affordable, offers lunch specials and Kids menu. We were there just a few days ago while vacationing in SPI and I have to say we were pleasantly surprised when we found this place just around the corner from the lighthouse. We tend to leave the island in search for good food every year because unfortunately we have not found good food in South Padre Island. They offer a lunch special just at under six bucks per person. They actually have good Mexican and seafood plus everybody gets a bowl of chárro beans which I thought was pretty cool as an appetizer along with chips and salsa. The kids really enjoyed the cheese burgers . My mother in law ordered the carne guisada plate and really loved it. My husband and I tried the all you can eat fish plate which consisted of coleslaw fries and Pollock fish. If I was a fan of Pollock fish I would have said it was an excellent dish. Nothing wrong with the plate it was just not my cup of tea. Tried it once ,now I know I don't like Pollock fish. Lol staff was very friendly and received very good service. Very affordable and a great selection on their menu. The interior could use a facelift just a suggestion. read more

My husband and I went to eat here for lunch. It wasn't busy at all and it took about 5 mins to take our drink order. Another 15 mins to get our drink. The food didn't have any taste what so ever. When my husband asked where do we pay and the server said why do u plan on running. And she said it in Spanish thinking we couldn't understand her. Needless to say we won't be returning. read more
