This place is A-okay. Their menu is fairly small, but we liked the food and the prices. In addition to the printed menu they had a poster of weekly specials and a dry erase board of daily specials. We had the all you can eat specials - fish for me and shrimp for the S.O. We both tried all the cooking methods, fried, pan-fried, blackened and garlic. Coffee and pop as well as milk and tap water but no bottled water It's a bit of a dive but if you can get past that the food is delicious. You can choose 2 of 4 styles for the shrimp and fish blackened, fried, grilled or garlic. I chose pan grilled fish and garlic shrimp. Husband got blackened fish and garlic shrimp. All were delicious. The second order was as plentiful as the first. The service and speed of cooking were slow. It seemed regulars are given faster and friendlier service than what we received-one group of 4 was fed and out the door even though we arrived before they did. Their food came out first Our friend ordered the taco salad after asking what was in it. Despite not listing refried beans the salad came with beans and the other mentioned ingredients. We pointed this out to the server and she just shrugged and did not offer to have another made and walked away. My friend ended up ordering a burger and was charged for that as well as the salad. I don't think we will return based on this years experience. If you are trying to eat cheap and get all you can eat, can look past the atmosphere and have lots of time to wait you might want to give it a try. The bad news, there was nothing about their preparation that distinguished them from any other shrimp I've eaten - not bad but nothing that would make me want to come back for them. The tostadas were also not bad but not anything that would make us come back for them. The rice and refried beans were also not bad but also not really good - they lacked flavor. Same excellent food and great prices, in a clean modern setting). Still cash only, but if you find yourself short there is an ATM in the restaurant. Fish, fried, grilled or blackened, is always excellent, but they have a lot of other mexican dishes too. Highly recommended. The Fish Tacos are one of our favorites. We live in Washington state and travel to Texas twice a year and this is by far the best Mexican food we have found traveling from Washington to Texas by car. Their stuffed pepper are wonderful whether the Chile relleno or the stuffed Pablanos we do both with Pollo. Their tamales pollo or pork are wrapped in banana leaves the too-are the bomb.
