I like this Mexican Restaurant better than any other in Rock Hill. Food was good but it took a very long time for it to come out. I really was very tired of waiting. Food was good but could improve- I'd rather have 2 Tacos than 3 but with more shrimp and less cabbage. Otherwise they had a great taste. Salsa was very good. I really like the hot salsa. I do like a little thinner chips. Margarita was good. Servers were very friendly. They were packed last night so I would like to try on a less busy night. Just make sure you hang on to your menu so you can point them out when they tell you "No." The drinks were a little weak. May have just been the bartender. Service was great but the birria was horrible. The taco itself was great but the consumé was gross. They poured the portion straight off the top so it was pure grease. I asked for a repour but it was worse. I tried to use napkins to soak up the grease to access the broth at the bottom but it was too much. I couldn't even finish this bc it was bland and greasy. After reading prior reviews on this location and decided to give it a try. I called the restaurant and placed a take out order. After a few seconds on hold, that process went seamlessly and my order was taken by Luis. 1 cup of tortilla soup and a grande chimichanga -- chicken. 12 minutes after placing my order, I went to the restaurant and noticed several things related to service such as: lack of attention to dine in customers as well as a lack of lack of attention towards those customers picking up to go orders. The food was good, but there were some issues. Tortilla soup was flavorful, as was the guacamole salad and the rice and beans. Unfortunately, the chimichanga was burnt, so I couldn't enjoy it, so that felt like a waste of money. The chipotle cheese sauce that topped the chimichanga (to cover up the burnt tortilla) was very good though. Regarding the lack of attention to the existing customers; I was in the restaurant for an additional 15 minutes waiting for my order and noticed a couple that was promptly given chips and salsa after being seated, but never approached afterwards. They awkwardly looked around for a waiter for 15 minutes and eventually just gave up. They left $2 to cover chips and salsa and explained to the hostess that they were leaving because after 15 minutes of waiting, not only did they not have drinks, they didn't even know if they had a waiter. The hostess kindly apologized and the couple left. Shortly after, the hostess told Luis of the couple that left and he said "oh well" she told him they left $2 and he was visibly excited about that. Regarding my takeout process, Luis promptly went to check on my order, but he never came back up to me. It also seems that Luis is the only person that can cash out an order, so I had to wait for him to do everything before leaving. The staff is primarily high school/college students, so that may explain the choppy service. Overall, this restaurant did not meet my expectations, which were already low for service, but high for food. Not sure that I'd recommend. read more

I've never met a burrito that I didn't finish. Until today. Horrible. Chef's burrito. Unbelievably greasy and flavorless. It basically fell apart after I tried to pick it up because there was so much grease. I only ate as much as I did because I was starving The service was almost as bad. Sat down at bar for about 10 minutes before I was able to order. The guy who took my order may not even work there. I ordered the chicken feliz and mild salsa. The mild salsa has absolutely no heat won't order again. The chicken was tender and juicy, the rice was ok not the best but not dry. Beans not my fav a bit bland, the fried pepper was amazing and so cheesy. The guac was pretty good I don't usually like it. Service was a little slow but that's about all I could complain about. My husband and I will no longer be going to this restaurant. Not because of the food, as it is amazingly delicious. It is the treatment of their employees. Eduardo aka George was the manager, waiter, server and has become a very good friend of ours over the three years we enjoyed this restaurant. We just heard yesterday that the owners wife wanted to pay him less because business had slowed down..This young man drove 60 miles a day to his job...worked open to close several days a week, he mentored his workers to be the best at what their position required, and we witnessed that many times. He had a natural talent for his position there. Management asked him if he would stay while they paid him a wage that was completely unacceptable and would make it impossible to take care of his family. I hope this restaurant does not succeed due to the incomprehensible decision that the owner's wife made. My husband and I will never eat there again, but will drive to Indian Land where Eduardo is now working. As we know the food will be great and also the service. We went across the state line to check this place out. The folks were all attentive and very nice. They had a live band the night we went. Our friend had order this seafood platter. We had 5 people and was only able to tackle half. Lots of shrimp, fish and crab legs on a bed of lettuce, tomatoes. There was no skimping here. All perfectly cooked to perfection. In short this place is amazing. Food is absolutely incredible. Since I came the first time I have been here several times. One of the times the staff wasn't super attentive but they were short staffed so it was fine. Since then, there has been plenty of staff. We always start with the Texas dip which is steak, chicken, and shrimp in cheese sauce. These guys know how to season and cook meat. For entree I always get the burrito chipotle which is a burrito filled with chicken and smothered in a chipotle cheese sauce (so good). Portions are huge and prices are low. Come here! read more

Review on my delivery order: Ordered a chicken burrito, then found large chunks of cartilage (see attached photo). If you like guacamole without tomatoes, don't go here as it's full of tomatoes and when we called to get it without they couldn't accommodate us. We were going to pick out the tomatoes, but it was almost all tomato. My guess is their guacamole isn't fresh. You can easily find better Mexican food elsewhere. read more

Thank you for bringing good Mexican food to Rock Hill! From the moment I walked in the door the experience was wonderful. Friendly host, had a short wait and then great service. When you ask for a large margarita prepare yourself, it will be the size of your head. Huge menu and the food did not disappoint. I had enchiladas in mole sauce, the cheese enchilada was filled with cheese sauce so it wasn't my favorite but the mole sauce and chicken and beef enchilada were delish. My parents both had shrimp tacos and said they great and the shrimp was very flavorful. Also love the salsa options. Great dinner and will definitely be back read more
