Who knew that Jackson, Mississippi is home to some really outstanding and memorable eats! Table 100…read morewas located just a short drive from our hotel, so we decided to have a nice dinner. The restaurant has a formal setting, but with a comfortable and cozy atmosphere. We started with some drinks and a wedge salad. Portions are large but they don't skimp on quality. For mains, I ordered the redfish and it was perfection! The gulf has some delicious seafood and the fish was cooked so perfectly tender to perfection!! Delicious dining experience!

After a successful purchase and a hemorrhaging from my credit card, we opted to celebrate the occasion with a meal. And Lo and behold Table 100 was just across the street from where we were. Ambiance 4 Stars - as you walk into the establishment, you are transported back where the warm wood interior, cozy white table cloth tables or booths, high end bar drinks, and classy servers in their white or black attire are waiting to serve you. There plenty of tables and booths to seat a plentiful of patrons. And if you need a little bit more private, you can request a private room depending how many are in the party. 4.5 Stars - Service: our server, Andrew was wonderful, professional and has a great sense of humor. We bantered throughout our dinner but the conversation never crossed over to make anyone uncomfortable. He was observant of our needs and when to bring our next course. Our glasses stayed full with our beverage. 4.25 Stars - Food We ordered from the dinner menu instead of lunch due to our timing at 3:00. Let's just call it "Linner". Haha. 4 Stars - Grilled Swordfish- My wife ordered the dish and came with a decent size grilled swordfish fish, sauté spinach, creamed mash potatoes, and a beurre blanc sauce (lemon, butter and dry white wine). The swordfish was thick and moist; not dry at all. The beurre blanc balanced the bland spinach and the seasoned swordfish. The creamed potatoes were creamy, buttery's and not too salty. 3.75 Stars - Pan seared Redfish with cube fried potatoes, sauté green beans, beurre blanc sauce and top w a Chilean tomato salsa. The redfish was moist and tasty but I wish it had a little bit seared on it for a crunchy factor. The cubed potatoes were good but nothing to write about. The fresh sauté green beans could have a bit more garlic butter. 3.5 Stars Side dish: Deep Fried Brussel Sprouts. Hot, steamy and fresh. Has a slight crunch on the exterior leaves and was seasoned w a sprinkle of salt. 3.75 Dessert: Crème Brûlée and coffee. The crème brûlée crust was crunchy and the vanilla egg custard was good and smooth. It would have been better was a scoop of fresh whipped cream to go with the fresh fruit and crunchy layer. 5 Stars - French pressed Italian coffee. The coffee was a highlight of the dessert. It was hot, fresh, and strong. Just like an Italian coffee should be. It was between an espresso and caffe' Americano. Our, server, Andrew did a wonderful job on the coffee! I definitely recommend this place and we will be back. Don't forget to ask for Andrew, if he is available.

They came up on multiple recommendation lists as a place for great food in a cute restaurant atmosphere. We were so pleased to enjoy brunch here. First off, our server was such a gem. He was incredibly kind and provided standout service. Upon his recommendation, we ordered the duck fat hashbrown. It was a rich and decadent dish with crispy potatoes, eggs, bacon and covered in sauce! I was able to get my eggs scrambled although they usually come sunny side up. It was incredible delicious! This is an excellent spot to enjoy a meal in Jackson!

Overall Rating: (4.5/5)So close to perfection. As someone who's constantly recommending Elvie's to everyone, here's my one small critique: If the Duck Fat Fries aren't available as the side with the Steak Frites, I'd love the option to substitute them--or, at the very least, not be charged extra for a side of garlic aioli to enjoy with the fries. For an entrée that's already on the pricier side ($$$$), that little touch would go a long way. That said, thank you for now accepting brunch reservations, keeping Happy Hour alive, and consistently delivering exceptional service and outstanding food. Those are the reasons Elvie's remains one of my favorite restaurants in the city. We'll definitely be back!

The energy in the room said, "We closed in our hearts 30 minutes ago." The sushi bar looked like it had survived a mild apocalypse. A few lonely rolls sat scattered on nearly empty trays, clinging to life under the dim heat lamps. It was like a museum exhibit called "Sushi: The Final Hours." The cooked food was mostly lukewarm, like it had been gently whispered warm three hours earlier. As we made our way through the buffet, I could feel the staff's collective telepathic chant: "Please... just leave." They weren't rude--just aggressively done with the day. If hustle were food temperature, everything would've been sizzling. But hey, I'll give credit where it's due: it was cheap, and the ice cream was cold and surprisingly good. In fact, the ice cream single-handedly earned the second star. Without it, this would've been a one-star review and a tragic sushi eulogy. If you're looking for a late-night buffet adventure, Ichiban delivers an experience that will make you question your life choices--but at least you'll save money doing it. I really think that I put more energy into writing this review then the staff put into taking care of the diners in their restaurant
