No. 4 Chilaquiles with Arranchera, eggs over easy, rice, beans and toast.
    Chris L.

The breakfast restaurant industry is as prone to fads as any. There was the explosion of avocado toast, everyone started coming up with 15 different versions of Eggs Benedict, the biscuit and gravy thing even spawned two biscuit-centric places, and now pork belly is popping up everywhere. Another thing I've noticed is how often chilaquiles are finding their way on to the menus of upscale breakfast joints. I had never tried chilaquiles, and I didn't want my first introduction to be someplace doing a fru-fru version. That means a trip to the south side and a visit to Los Chilaquiles. I was seated immediately. The coffee was better than I had anticipated. I ordered the No. 4 Chilaquiles with chicken (red sauce), eggs over easy, rice and refried beans. My wait was fairly short, but somehow I got skirt steak instead of chicken. No worries though because it was great. As expected, parts tortilla triangles had softened, but there was still a good amount of crunch. The flavors were great and the sauce added just enough heat. The eggs were close to over medium (the way I like them!), and the rice and beans were good. All-in-all I loved it, and would recommend Los Chilaquiles to anyone.

I'm constantly exploring the local restaurants near my office for new dining experiences. Oklahoma City is fortunate to have a large and diverse Hispanic community, and people are missing out if they don't take time to try some of its cultural and culinary offerings. When I was a kid, we would come into OKC from Tuttle every other Friday to pick up my dad's paycheck, then head to Grider's (an iconic Southside market) on 29th and May to go grocery shopping. This location, if memory serves correctly, was a Braum's back then. Obviously, that was a long time ago, but SW 29th has been an important part of OKC for many years. I walked into Los Chilaquiles mid-morning, and it had a few tables occupied. I opted to sit at the counter, and received great service. With a name like Los Chilaquiles, their specialty is obvious. Ordinarily, I take the advice of the owners and try their speciality. However, I'd just had chilaquiles recently, so I ventured out a bit and ordered the aboreadillio, a dish from SW Mexico that combines eggs, onions, peppers (pretty sure these were guajillo peppers, which are pretty mild on the heat scale), and shredded beef (authentically, the meat is pounded and tenderized on a stone or in a mortar and pestle; not sure if that took place here). This was an awesome dish. It wasn't firm like an omelette, but it was more than a "scramble". Very flavorful and satisfying. It came with rice and beans, but the main dish definitely constituted the majority of the food. The food was excellent and also well priced. As a side note, the house coffee was REALLY good. I ordinarily don't particularly like most restaurant coffee (even though I drink it), as the blends are under-roasted for my taste and too acidic. This was good coffee: well-balanced, with bright flavors without being too harsh (as a black coffee drinker, this is a big deal to me). As I was checking out, I saw that it was Columbian and came from a big red can with a black lid and white lettering. Maybe it's commonplace, but it was good. Overall, this was a highly serviceable experience. I'll definitely return for the house speciality, more of that coffee, and an opportunity for a little reminiscing.

They are a fast serving restaurant . There main dish of course are chilaquiles. Their smoothies and natural juices are amazing ! My husband is usually very picky about what he eats and where, but at this place he loves it ! Our food gets served fast and hot! And super affordable. We usually end up paying like $22 bucks for the both of us with drinks . Seriously recommend the place!

No vengan aqui.

    #4 Chilaquiles with steak

Very authentic, reasonably priced and wonderful food!! My husband and I found this hidden gem during a trip to OKC. We wanted brunch on Sunday and lucked into finding this place. Their specialty appears to be Chilaquiles obviously. We both ordered the #4 with steak and he chose the green sauce for a spicy kick and I stuck with the red sauce. Eggs were cooked perfectly per our request and I recommend going all out with the cheese and sour cream. Service was very fast and they are very nice. We showed up close to closing time, which I normally wouldn't do but I wanted to try their food so bad we had to go. They were very gracious and welcoming. Trip well worth it and I would highly recommend. Best breakfast we have had in a long time.

Clean and welcoming place. My first time and I ordered Rojo Chilaquiles with egg. The flavor was on point. I will be coming here again.

The brunch dishes look amazing too. My only small complaint was that initial service was a bit sluggish when we first sat down, taking almost fifteen minutes just to get water and take our drink order, and my side of fries came out pretty limp and inconsistent compared to how crispy the tots were. Once the meal got moving though, the chill vibe and tasty food made it a really solid lunch overall. the standout comfort food and the super laid-back environment are the absolute best parts about this place. That chicken-fried ribeye is tender, perfectly seasoned, and total comfort on a plate, while the loaded tots are an incredible appetizer to share with the table. The overall space feels warm, casual, and unpretentious, making it a awesome spot to kick back with friends.

The atmosphere is vibrant, modern, and full of energy with industrial-chic décor, warm Edison lighting, colorful accents, and an open, welcoming vibe that makes you want to linger over another cup of coffee. The food? Simply outstanding. The avocado toast was a showstopper--thick slices of perfectly toasted bread topped with creamy avocado, perfectly cooked eggs, fresh arugula, and a rich balsamic glaze that brought every bite together. Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. The homemade sausage patties were some of the best I've had. You could taste the difference immediately--well-seasoned, juicy, and packed with flavor, paired perfectly with eggs and a cheesy hash brown casserole that was rich and comforting. The pancakes were nothing short of divine. Light, fluffy, buttery, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Whether topped with warm blueberry compote or enjoyed with whipped butter and maple syrup, they were cooked to perfection and easily one of the highlights of the meal. The drinks completed the experience. The specialty coffee was smooth with beautiful latte art, and the fresh breakfast cocktail with a Tajín rim added the perfect refreshing touch. What truly elevated the visit was the staff. Every interaction was warm, attentive, and genuine. Service was prompt without feeling rushed, and the team made sure every detail was right. Neighborhood JAM has mastered the art of breakfast by combining exceptional food, beautiful presentation, outstanding hospitality, and a fun, energetic atmosphere. This is the kind of place you'll happily return to again and again.

We were seated at a booth, and the host asked if we needed a high chair for my child. I said yes, but she walked away in the opposite direction of the high chairs and never brought one back, maybe it was too loud and she misunderstood me. Our waiter also kept resting his hand on the back partition of the booth directly behind my partner while talking to us. It came across as overly comfortable and lacking professional etiquette. Most people don't want strangers that close in their personal space while they're dining, especially during a birthday breakfast. I hadn't seen him there before, so he may have been new, I addressed the issue to management. The food overall was good, although the grits tasted a little dry and overcooked. I still enjoy this place and hope I can update this review positively after another visit.
