This place came highly recommended however we were a bit disappointed. The service was friendly. We ordered beef taco, shrimp tacos, and smoked marlin. The smoked marlin was fantastic and I don't know where else (that I know of) where you can get that, especially state-side. The shrimp tacos were also great! The beef was a bit cold and dry so we ended up not eating it. The guacamole was delicious but the tortilla chips were stale :( They were sold out of the scallop taco so we prob should have come earlier for that? They also have a pretty decent salsa bar. I really loved their cold hibiscus drink on a hot day. Yum.

Tacos los claros is a short walk from the marina, but offers an extensive seafood focused menu and friendly service. They have a huge seating area both downstairs and on the rooftop and I was lucky enough to get a rooftop table at sunset. The service was great and while they were unfortunately out of raw seafood dishes while I was here (aguachile, ceviche), the fish and shrimp tacos I had were delicious. Served with a creamy sauce, the seafood was perfectly fried and came smothered in delicious melted Oaxacan cheese. I would definitely recommend if you want a traditional baja-style eatery.

We asked our taxi driver to take us to the best fish tacos is Los Cabos San Lucas. Our driver took is to Los Claros and what a spectacular choice. Service was fast and friendly. The tacos, Oh the tacos. I had 2 pescado capeado tacos, 2 marlin tacos and a shrimp taco. By far, the marlin tacos were my favorite. I would travel back to Cabo San Lucas just to eat the marlin tacos again. The store is in a very walkable area of downtown town and has an enclosed eating area and an open area, which was excellent.

Came here twice and loved both times. Get the pescado crunch. Fried fish with a crunchy exterior. Their salad/salsa bar is well stocked. Prices are reasonable, tacos run about 60 pesos. Service is friendly. Restroom is clean.

The actual hours for this restaurant... though they are definitely cash only so I dunno why the sign says visa...

We actually tried this place while on a cruise a year ago, in which, subsequent to the time we spent in Cabo, we got pretty sick, so I never got around to writing a review of it, but I'd remembered the food was great. So when we were back in Cabo last month on another cruise (fixing our mistake the first time by *not* going anywhere the previous week to be exposed to anything), I figured I'd go back and review it properly (also because, again, the food was great, definitely better than any Mexican-style ceviche I've had in the US, certainly for the price). Anyway, I can't say this is the best seafood we had on our cruise last month, but it is certainly possible it's the best in Cabo (the best Mexican seafood I had that trip, and also *ever*, was in Puerto Vallarta). It was definitely great, though, both times. I was with my wife, so we got to try a good amount of the menu - spent about 30 bucks, for food for two people. (Well, ~30 bucks US if you have the pesos - they only take cash, and while they *do* take USD, their exchange rate is... not good. Would've been ~35 if we hadn't had enough Mexican bills.) I was especially excited to try the smoked marlin tacos, which they had been out of the previous visit - they are *excellent* (if I'm ever back in Cabo, I'd probably get a couple of them). The scallop tacos were also great, as was the mixto (one note: the only difference between the mixto as an order of ceviche, and as a "tostada", is whether they plate it for you vs plating it yourself, so the former is a much better value.) We also shared a "half order" of guacamole, which was pretty substantial for a "half order" (also great). The only food item I wasn't particularly impressed with was the crab tostada, which was... pretty bland. (Though enjoyable enough after dousing it with hot sauces, it was definitely the one I was by far the least impressed with by itself.) I can also confirm, from the previous visit, the fried fish tacos were great, too. One thing this place also definitely has going for it over the street food vendor I'm comparing it to in PV: a buffet-style setup of not just salsas, but also complimentary unlimited-with-purchase creamy corn salad, cabbage salad and spicy pickled onions. (Also great salsas - though their spicy ones do *not* mess around.) Another thing it has going for it: great drinks, both aguas frescas (their horchata and jamaica are both great, and a glass is enough to share with someone), and micheladas (they only have standard mainstream Mexican beers, nothing craft, but their michelada mixes are great - I tried the mango-flavored one, and it is highly recommended.) Definitely wish there was a place like this in Long Beach (mostly I wish there was a seafood place with *prices* like this in Long Beach.)

I was excited to try this place after hearing from others how great it was, but I was truly disappointed. I ordered the crispy fish taco. It was pretty flavorless. You can tell from the picture that the breading came off the fish. I also ordered the mar y Tiera taco and it lacked flavor, meat was tough. Service was slow also.

A delicious, unassuming, hole-in-the-wall establishment tucked away in an alley off one of the main streets in Cabo San Lucas. I ordered 3 tacos: one fried shrimp, an octopus, and a mixed seafood. For appetizers, my boyfriend and I ordered a small chips and guacamole and a fish ceviche. Everything was made to order, and the seafood quality itself was super fresh (given how close we were to the marina). I assumed the tacos would be on the smaller side, but they were larger than we thought, so we walked out of our meal absolutely stuffed. Sitting on the patio, we watched as the chef took out the seafood (from an Igloo cooler, mind you), battered our seafood, and fried it on the spot. The batter was light and crispy, which was surprising to me as it was some sort of flour coating and not a beer-batter like I was expecting. This meal was definitely our highlight of the trip and a nice reprieve from the all-inclusive resort food we'd been eating all week. A note: one of the hostesses speaks English, but our server spoke very little English. I was able to scrape by with the intermediate-level Spanish I know, but I did see a table next to us communicating with our server through Google Translate.

We were looking for a place to have tacos & good thing a local recommended this place to us. It's kinda off the beat and path but close enough. We had the special which comes with 3 tacos & a shot of tequila & beer for $18! What deal! Guac & chips for $3 This place was great! The tequila shot was anejo & it was very smooth! Tacos were delish & shrimp was my favorite. They played great music & owner was super nice!

Los Claros is definitely a local spot to grab a bite to eat. No tourists here...maybe an odd straggler like myself... (-‿) Nothing fancy about this place, just some good seafood local Cabo style. They do have a full bar, but I didn't get any drinks. We just stopped by for a quick bite to eat, and didn't dig deep into the menu. Their specialty is a Marlin Taco's. They do things a bit differently here. The protein is prepared separately and placed on a Soft Taco Shell. By itself it doesn't look like much. The magic happens when you go to the Taco bar. The toppings are unlimited and you get to customize your tacos to your personal liking. I forgot to take pics of the Tacos after all the added toppings. SMH #TacoTuesday: ~ MARLIN TACO - 4.5/5 Very different, yet so good. The Marlin look and tastes like Pulled Pork. I honestly thought it was Pulled Pork! An excellent introduction for someone who is not too fond of fish! ~ CAMARON A LA PLANCHA O CRUNCH - 4/5 Juicy local Shrimp fried to perfection. This is much heavier than it looks. I'd love to come back and try the rest of the menu.

Nice cool AC or outdoor patio.

Amazing mixed ceviche! The best in Cabo. The crispy fish tacos, shrimp and marlins were good. The horchata was terrific and the prices just right!

Yummy, authentic tacos in Cabo! Only knocking off a star because it was a bit difficult to wave down staff. There's an indoor and outdoor area, and the indoor area is split into two rooms (literally, with a doorway in between) so a bit difficult to get staff's attention. We sat outside, where the grill is and most of the food is made! Was very cool. It wasn't super busy but it still took a longer amount of time to get each of the items we ordered (they're not extremely hard or time consuming to make dishes) but that's just me being impatient. There's also a serve-yourself toppings bar which is cool, but wish they had even more sauce variety. Finally onto the food itself: overall great! Tostada was my favorite, so fresh and who doesn't love ceviche?? Today was also the day I learned I don't like marlin. It was my first time trying it. There's no better time than right by the pier! For those of whom who have not had the pleasure of trying marlin, I highly recommend never doing it, or trying 1 order of it first. We got ahead of ourselves and ordered a doradito AND taco and it was just.... a lot. However, from an unbiased opinion, the quality and taste of the tacos and everything overall was top tier.

FANTASTIC fish tacos (45mx) FANTASTIC shrimp tacos (50-55mx) Came here for lunch (takeout) and was charged 45mx (fish tacos) and 55mx (shrimp tacos). It was sooooo good that we came back a cpl days later for dinner (dine-in) and were charged 45mx (fish tacos) and 50mx (shrimp tacos). Obviously not a big deal but just something I noticed -- perhaps diff pricing for takeout vs dine-in? Regardless, we HIGHLY recommend this spot for fish and shrimp tacos (HUGE + DELICIOUS portions!) My SO also ordered some type of mixed seafood ceviche that was just ok. I recommend sticking to fish & shrimp tacos. Def give this place a try, and you might even find yourself coming back for more... Salud!

The restaurant was packed with locals when we went -- always a great sign. Cash only, so come prepared. What We Ordered Chocolate Clams (Cooked) You can choose raw or cooked -- I went with cooked and it was delicious. Very fresh, no fishy smell at all. One thing to note: every seafood dish comes topped with garlic. I'm not a fan of garlic and didn't know ahead of time, so I rinsed it off with hot water -- still amazing. Calamari Fresh, tender, and very well cooked. Seafood Special Combination Fish and squid were excellent. Lobster and shrimp were okay, nothing too special compared to the others. Price & Value The prices here are unbelievably cheap. * 6 chocolate clams = 285 pesos * Waldorf restaurant: 2 clams for $48 USD * Another place we tried: 2 clams for 340 pesos After eating around Cabo, this place clearly stood out for both quality and price. We couldn't even finish everything and packed leftovers back to the hotel. Total bill for all dishes: around $100 USD -- incredible. Overall Huge portions, super fresh seafood, local vibes, and unbeatable value. If you're anywhere near Cabo San Lucas, this spot is a must-visit.

From the street it looks like a little hole-in-the-wall, the kind of spot you might almost miss if you're busy chasing fancy marina restaurants. But step inside and suddenly you're in on the secret. Open air, flags hanging everywhere, signatures on the walls from travelers who clearly had a very good night, and the kind of energy that says dinner might get a little rowdy. Now let's talk shrimp. Big, juicy, swimming in garlic, lime, butter, and Baja attitude. The kind of seafood that makes you stop mid-bite and look at your table like, "Yep... we picked the right place." If you love seafood with a Mexican twist, this place doesn't mess around. And then there's the legendary Bulldog drink. It's tequila, beer, citrus, and just enough mischief to make the table louder after the first round. Order one and you'll understand why people start signing their names on the walls like they just joined a Cabo fraternity. Bottom line: this isn't just dinner. It's a little Cabo adventure wrapped in garlic shrimp and cold drinks. If you want quiet elegance, go somewhere else. But if you want flavor, personality, and a story to tell later... pull up a chair. Killer line: Some restaurants serve food Maro's serves memories with a side of shrimp.

I have been coming to Maro's Shrimp House since I found it, probably on Tripadvisor at the time,…read more way back in June 2016 and we make it a must on every trip to Cabo. Even when I was in Cabo on a cruise ship last Friday (11/28), had to hole up in my cabin on my laptop and work a half day (until 11am), missing out on my family's morning excursion all with a 1pm last tender call to get back to the ship... After my wife, mother-in-law, daughter & son's excursion with well reviewed Real Baja Tours (which I arranged separately instead of through the ship), all but my son were dropped off back at the ship as they wanted to skip out on the amazingness of Maro's. Yeah, I KNOW!! CRAZY!! The driver was nice enough to drop my son off at Maro's afterwards and the timing couldn't have been more perfect, just a few minutes before their 12pm opening time. Even though, we were a few minutes early, they gladly seated us right away. And very surprisingly, we were the only ones there for a good 20 minutes. From our very first visit in 2016, it is quite clear that the only things you need order is the shrimp and lobster which are fantastic...and THE BULLDOG (basically a giant schooner of margarita with an upended Coronita standing on its drowning head)...well, no Bulldogs for the boy. Service is very efficient and the friendly staff (despite not knowing too much English, except Maro himself, of course) is very attentive to any calls we had for refills of GARLIC WITH BUTTER (soooo much garlic, it was fantastic) & my dear, dear Bulldogs. Speaking of Bulldogs, they keep track of the most Bulldogs drunken in a sitting. I believe the current leader had 22...which is a superhuman feet because I was feeling quite FINE (read: tipsy) after my two. Also speaking of Bulldogs, on a visit in 2024, my kids, one friend of theirs and I witnessed a server giving 3 ladies a lapdance when they ordered one to share. Now that's service! Lol. Having told the staff we had to get outta there at 12:30pm, they delivered our wonderful meals very promptly and after first giving us totopos (tortilla chips) with two kinds of delicious salsa (well, a salsa and a pico de gallo). We each ordered the 1/4 kilo of lobster and 1/4 medium shrimp for $24.95 USD. (Note prices on the menu are conveniently in USD.) This was more than ample for one person but we prodded on and thoroughly enjoyed it, as always. With each plate, they serve the seafood with a very tasty rice pilaf and some pieces of squash or something I still can't figure out and after 2 Bulldogs, I completely forgot to ask about. They also give you a piping hot cup of that GARLIC WITH BUTTER served over a candle to keep hot which is brilliant. There is nothing worse than eating your giant platter of lobster and shrimp and the butter starts getting cold and becomes gluey and gloppy. That stuff is so good, we asked for another cup (and unlike American restaurants, it was free). On our visit in 2024, we actually got to meet Maro himself, took a picture with him, printed and framed it at home, brought it with us on the cruise and mounted it on the wall to the right of the L.A. Dodger flag, naturally. Since there wasn't any room left to write something with a provided marker, I added my DK to the bottom of the UCLA Bruin flag hidden near the back to the left. Oh, while you might think this place is a dingey dive by the look of the joint with its millions of marked up mostly collegiate flags lining the walls and rafters, the food makes it absolutely worth a visit...or two while you're in town. So save Edith's or Hacienda Y Cucina for the evenings (unless you want what I suspect would be a super fun & roudier crowd in the evenings). HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Wow, that's a David K 4x HIGHLY RECOMMEND so ya better go!
