We paid $7 for two Al pastor Sopes. They bring you a full salsa bar and toppings to the table individual. They are really nice inside it's clean and the bathrooms are clean! They weee repainting fresh yellow paint when we stopped by. There is a fancy side and a chill side so you take your pick. We sat on the chill side & watched football game. World Cup was on.
Best tacos in town. I've been coming here for decades and the place gets better and better every time. You get the full spread and set up when you sit down in a table full of all the salsa, guacamole, and add-ons. We always go for the tacos in quesadillas and it's the number one place I stop into every time I get in town. Service is always Gray without mom and Pop feel and the Ovi is like a wonderful authentic Mexican experience . This is one of those places where you feel like you're the only one who knows the best hole in the wall taco spot in Cabo yet everyone in the surrounding area knows that it's the best.
We stopped at Tacos Guss for tacos and margaritas while in Cabo. Once we got seated, we were brought a complimentary bowl of chips and an array of salsas, which included fresh guac. The guac was super tasty! We were also provided with a tray of toppings to finish your tacos, which consisted of pico de gallo, cucumbers, radish, carrots, cheese, cilantro, onions, limes, etc. It's covered in plastic wrap, which is nice, considering there were flies all around. I ordered two tacos, a lengua and fish (sea bass). I didn't have any issues with my ordering, but it took several tries for them to get my friend's order right. The tacos are served on a single tortilla, made from fresh masa. I enjoyed the lengua taco, but the fish taco was just okay. There was a generous amount of fish and it is also served with green peppers and a sliver of red onion (fajita style, barely). I was hoping for battered fish, but it was grilled and on the soggy and fishy side. My friend tried it and she spit out a scale. The margaritas ($11-$12 USD) are huge! I also enjoyed a classic Cola. I would say this is a 3.5-rating for me. It was not my favorite bite in Mexico, but it was a nice spot to enjoy some local eats during our short stopover. We were able to pay in USD.
Tacos Guss is a local taqueria with amazing aromas wafting down the Main Street in Cabo. Pair this with their Yelp reviews and we were in. When we walked up, there were no open tables. It's fairly small and intimate, and they're not afraid to seat you with other parties. We're didn't mind at all and enjoyed sharing a table with another group. Service is great - it's too small not to see you, lol. We ordered house margs - these were not overly limey, which made me happy, lol. If ya love spice, you'll be happy here. They immediately brought out a taco prep platter and a tray of various salsas. Some were mild and others were quite spicy. I loved them all. Some were tiny tasters only, though! We ordered chicken enchiladas verde and tacos (el pastor, fish, shrimp, and carne asada). The el pastor was what brought us in and definitely the standout. I'd ask for a bit more sour cream with my enchiladas and try their spicy marg. We'd be back. Loved the local flavors, spicy options and food made with love.
Was on a Carnival 6 Day cruise to Cabo and Ensenada. This was Day 3 of the cruise. We took a bike taxi from the beach by the Port. He actually became our unofficial tour guide lol. We were hungry and we told him that we did not want to go any touristy spot, so he brought us here prior to taking us back to the ship. This spot was everything. We both tried Sopas for the 1st time and they were so damn tasty and so were the drinks. Prices were more than great because it is a very local spot. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere is cozy.
Taco Guss was easily my fav taco spot in all of CSL! They had a huge selection of tacos, burritos, tortas and other Mexican classics! They also had a great selection of agua fresca when I was there. My favorite was the shrimp and al pastor Taco. While the shrimp wasn't fried, it was cooked until tender and not too salty. The al pastor was very flavorful and slightly sweet, rivaling CDMX tacos. They also provide sauces and sides for each table, and my favorite was the avosalsa. The pepino y limon agua fresca was also very refreshing and not too sweet. Service was great and while ambiance was a bit chaotic with so many people crammed into a small space, it made for a lively experience.
My wife and I were here on a cruise and wanted to find a local taco spot. So, we asked a local where to go and this is where he directed us. Tacos Guss is literally a small hole in the wall type spot where they're making the tacos on a grill facing the street. As you walk by, the chef is right there with a smile. I really liked the veggie tray they brought with the different toppings so you could dress up your tacos however you wanted. The steak wasn't overly flavorful but still tasted good.
Tacos is Mexico. Arrachera and Camaron were excellent. I prefer my Tripas crispy and cleaner but they weren't bad. I liked that they serve you a variety of salsas, including guac for your chips and to put on your tacos. Prices were similar to U.S. prices, was expecting it to be quite a bit cheaper. I'd recommend giving them a try if you get deeper into town in Cabo.
Spent about $25 for 6 tacos that were externally plain. For a spot with plastic picnic tables/not clean should have been less.No marinade or any seasoning on fish or shrimp. Service was non existent and had to just about get up to ask for bill. Cherry on top was when at the end they told it was cash only (no signs saying so) and as we were walking out we see him getting out a card reader for another couple. Please save your money and go to another spot
Eh this taco place was just ok. I love that they instantly send out this huge salsa tray with 6 different salsas for your chips. They also give a huge plate with different toppings like cucumber, pickled onions, cilantro, etc. The tacos themselves were just mediocre. Yes, the corn tortilla tastes delicious with the authentic texture and taste but their carne asada was just ok. It was bland and didn't taste fresh. I did enjoy their fish tacos; I thought meat was tender and fresh. Their shrimp tacos were really good too but it literally just had 5 large shrimp on top of the tortilla. Maybe the idea here is to make and build your own taco rather than coming out already dressed?! Not sure but I actually prefer my tacos dressed. Overall, I paid $12 USD for 4 tacos which is almost the same back home in The Bay Area. I wouldn't come back.

Recently stopped by Tacos Guss during one of our cruise port days and ended up having some of the best tacos I've ever had. We found it recommended online and were so glad we did. The space is small, but we were seated right away. We ordered carne asada, al pastor, and pescado tacos, plus a Bohemia beer, all for just $20 USD. While we waited, our waiter brought out chips with multiple salsa options ranging from mild to absolutely eye-watering, along with a full platter of taco toppings, which we didn't use. The moment I took my first bite, I knew this would be a regular stop if we're ever back in the area. The meat was tender, incredibly flavorful, and tasted fresh off the grill. Everything paired perfectly with the salsas and an ice-cold beer. Super glad we found this gem within walking distance of the pier, and this is one of those spots that'll stick with us long after our trip ended. read more
Like the quesadilla better. Pastor taco. Steak quesadilla Another Taco breakfast on vacation in Cabo. I found this place on Tic Tok. The treat here were the many flavors of Aqua Fresca and Horchatta. The horchata was the best one we had, very cinnamony. I had a pastor taco and a small steak quesadilla. There is some special cheese they use in mexican quesadillas that really turn me on. It's melty and chewier. But the pastor here was also excellent. We did have a very grumpy server. I think he was just covering for the regular gal while she was on break, but man, he was not happy about it. read more

We had decided to try this place out while we were in Cabo. The interior was a little cramped but it had a lot of seating. Our food was tasty and really filling for what it was. I really liked how the meats were juicy and not dry like other taco places back in California. read more

The food here is amazing. This is my wife's like 20th year coming here. It's my third year coming. The food just gets better and better pastor tacos Asada tacos and cheese quesadillas are the bomb. The service is great very attentive. Ambiance is nice outlooks the stores love this place. read more

Cash only! The salsas and chips they bring out as soon as you sit down are excellent! The drinks are limited but what goes better than a Mexican coke with tacos?! Service was quick and it was nice sitting next to the open window. Recommend the fish taco- so good! The asada was ok. Wish I would've gotten the shrimp one instead. So we were having margaritas at a bar not far from here and I asked the bar tender where he eats when he wants good tacos. He said Tacos Guss. I had seen it and it looked like it had a bunch of clients so after a couple of drinks and talking to some other American visitors at the bar we came over. The Tacos were great. I had a al pastor taco and a shrimp quesadilla. The quesadilla comes in a reg and a large. I chose the regular and it looks like a shrimp taco, but it was good. My wife had two asada tacos but was surprised that they had no carnitas. Beers and drinks were very reasonable and the food was good. The bring out this huge tray with a bunch of salsa options and had some tasty but not super spicey stuff for those of us that don't eat a lot of spice. They also had a tray with cucumbers, radishes, pickled onions, cilantro and all the typical toppings for great tacos. I did not get chips with our order and when I noticed that the other tables all were getting them I asked our waiter if I could get some. He nodded, went back and grabbed a bowl full and took them to the ladies that had just sat down. :( But still the service was good and we enjoyed our lunch. Like many Mexican establishments, we had people selling us stuff and I knew the 4-5 year old girl selling some trinkets had my wife. Thank goodness it was small little things. It was crowded and we had a big party, but everything was delish. This time, the hubs and I were heading back to our hotel, so we decided to grab tacos for takeout. The resto was empty, so it was easy to place an order. Tacos didn't take too long to come out either. I adored all the tacos I had last time. The lengua was soft and chewy. The meats all had a nice smokiness. Not sure of if it was due to the transit time, bit the fillings didn't seems as flavorful. And of course, the tortillas got soggy. They did give us a fair amount of toppings, tho I wanted more since we ordered 8 tacos. Luckily we had some guac in our room. Great first experience. Okay second experience. Will average it out to 4. Overhyped. The tacos were good... nothing extraordinary. If you are from Mexicali, this is like nothing compare to. Price is cheaper than the other tacos places. Right when you walk in, they place chips and a variety of salsa and dip on your table. We ordered four tacos with tongue for 60 pesos each, two tortas (sandwiches with beef tongue) for 150 pesos each, a small quesadilla for 75 pesos, and two horchata drinks for 60 pesos each. The food was overall decent. I was not a fan of the tortas, but the tacos were quite good with the non-spicy guacamole and salsa. It was very hot and humid in mid-August. We thought they had A/C, but we didn't really feel the cold air. There is only one ladies' room and one men's room, so a wait can occur when it gets busy. The hand washing station is right outside the bathroom. I didn't like how there were so many flies everywhere, on your food, napkins, and the table. read more
I ate at this place 3x during my 4 day stay in Los Cabos. Once you are seated, they give complimentary fresh tortilla chips with different salsa and dips (this was my favorite part). I ordered a bunch of tacos and I remembered the carne asada was my favorite. Price-wise it was cheap and didn't feel ripped off. I would recommend eating here if you're staying in downtown Los Cabos! read more

I thought the tacos were ok and not anything spectacular. The lady who owns it is really nice and thanked me for coming in. I ordered Al pastor and asada tacos. The Al pastor was crunch and charred and the asada was good but like I said just not special in any way . It's hot in there no air conditioner but it's definitely worth checking out and the prices are fair . read more
If you're visit g Cabo and looking for some good food, Tacos Guss is the place to go! We dropped by Tacos Guss about a month ago and are dying to go back! The restaurant is a small hole in the wall with just a few tables for customers. Our service was great, we were given chips and a bunch of different salsas, along with a platter of delicious toppings. We ordered tacos, quesadillas, and a sope, which all tasted incredible! We washed our meal down with a Coke and it was absolute perfection. We can't wait to come back for more, Tacos Guss is a new favorite! read more

Great torta it was so flavorful and gigantic! The amount of meat and beans were a great balance and bread was perfect too. We did not order tacos but they had many choices of meat or fish. Saw them being carried to other tables. Did order a burrito and it was excellent, it was actually two tortillas put together and rolled up to make the burritos. All fixing were served on the table and you were able to dress your own taco or burrito as you like. Service was great excellent. The beer was not as cold as we would have liked it. Seating is patio benches with plastic table cloth. Since it was The holidays there was a manger set up. There was A/C on the wall but the door was open and the slider was open partially. read more

This taco spot is the restaurant next to another taco shop that opens up to the street. Tacos Guss is the one next to that which opens up into a restaurant-style seating w/ tables. When you order tacos, quesadillas, etc, it comes freshly made with just the tortilla (flour by default, idk if they have other options they didn't ask) and meat, cheese etc, but everything else you have to add from the taco ingredients and sauces they should bring out to you by default. Real solid food, great value like much else here, particularly given its location smack dab in the middle of the action in Cabo San Lucas. A whole vacation vibe. Our driver recommended this place saying that they have the best fish and shrimp burritos- rightup my alley- so I know I was going to be my last stop before heading back to the cruise ship. This was our last stop & our last shot!! Very friendly, inviting, and the servers were all male and just so fun. A great value everything was just nice and the fish taco was delicious. read more
Talk about authentic. The chorizo torta was life changing. The shrimp tacos also REDONK. They were generous with the meat portions and the toppings were fresh and fabulous. I loved the pickled carrots, cucumbers, and allllll 5 salsas to choose from. Bring pesos. Cash only. read more

A small, no frills restaurant with a pretty extensive taco menu. The tables are folding/not particularly comfortable, but the tacos are delicious/worth it. Don't expect a lot of customer service/interaction here, but a quick meal. I ordered the carne asada, al pastor, and fish. The fish is grilled, which was a disappointment but it was still flaky and delicious. The Al pastor was the real star though and the meat was flavorful and tender (sometimes I find it's dried out, especially if shaven too thinly). Definitely worth a try! read more

Really enjoyed this place! Located in the heart of all the clubs & the Cabo nightlife, so a little more expensive than a less central location, but still pretty cheap for what you get. All their dishes come almost completely plain & they give you a buttload of toppings, much more so than other places: Like 5-6 different salsas, pickled veggies, etc. I found that most other restaurants would give only red & green salsa and pico de gallo, so this was refreshing. Definitely would recommend if you need a spot to eat near all the hustle & bustle. read more

Friendly service. Right when you walk in they give you a platter of veggies and toppings for your meal and a whole row of different salsas. We ordered three tacos total - pastor, asada, and shrimp. The asada was best of the bunch but all were good. Not the best tacos I've had, I'm spoiled in LA, but they were decent. And well priced. read more
