The steak hits different here in Cabo compared to Southern California‍ The ambiance, the appetizers, the entrées, and dessert were all amazing. The waitor was attentive and he brought out complimentary dessert for the table following our meal. You've got a tree growing in the middle of the restaurant, are there going to be some bugs in an open air restaurant, hell yes there is. But who cares, you're in Cabo on vacation, and you just took a scorpion shot at the cantina next door. 10/10 Recommend! read more

Roasted Grill & Bar was an absolute highlight of our recent trip to Cabo! We planned one evening out for dinner and landed on Roasted in downtown Cabo, and we hit the jackpot! The evening we dined here it was raining, and while that is normally not significant, Roasted is partially open-air with the middle of the restaurant having no cover, so the rain was pouring in and effectively closed 60% of the place. When we arrived, the hostess and owner were apologetic and offered to rebook us, but we aren't quitters and a little rain does hurt us...but they also had a table near the entrance that was covered, so we decided to take it and enjoy our evening. Best decision ever! We started our evening off with a few cocktails paired with shrimp ceviche, queso fundido with chorizo, guacamole and an assortment of salsas. Once we ate through all this goodness, we tossed in our main courses of short rib, octopus, imperial shrimp and tampequena's. Finally we rounded out our meal with a few desserts consisting of cheesecake, chocolate flan and key lime pie! Everything was cooked to perfection, plated beautifully and absolutely delectable from first to last bite! The tampequena was my order and consisted of flank steak sided with a chile relleno and quesadilla...all of my favorite things as one meal? Sign me up! The desserts were delightful with all of us non-flan people being converted after trying the chocolate flan! Ownership put the desserts and a round of tequila shots on the house due to rain, which is more than they had to do. We were beyond thankful and appreciative. Service was phenomenal as well. Our server, the hostess, owner and food runners were all engaged, friendly and helpful. The space itself is absolutely gorgeous! The lit tree in the middle of the restaurant is a centerpiece and a perfect anchor to the decor and vibe. Overall, Roasted was one of the best dining experiences we have had in a long time, and definitely the best one we had while in Cabo. Do yourself a favor and come here! Maybe our favorite place to eat in town. This time we had two shareable platters, thought we had ordered way too much food for 4, but it was so good we couldn't stop. This is our 3rd or 4th time here over the years and we talk about going here immediately after we book the plane tickets. Don't miss out. This is a popular restaurant in the tourist area, where in general you can't go wrong. As I was alone, I sat at the bar. The bartender was busy, but friendly. The general vibe is moderately lively with a steady hum of voices. I chose guacamole and chips as an appetizer which wasn't needed and the only disappointment. It was pretty flat. For a main course I had Tampiqueña. It came as grilled Flank steak with Chile Relleno and Quesadilla, and included some rice and a small dish of refried beans. It was also served with dinner rolls. Both the meat and the Chile rellenos were amazing. The big plus was when they added a complementary dessert. (A very tasty cheesecake). You won't be disappointed, and the price was reasonable, which is getting more difficult to find in Cabo. I enclosed updated menus for 2025 because things have changed a lot since Covid. They even stood around us swatting the clouds of flies that gathered when the food was delivered. We had really good margaritas. Ordered the lobster, ribeye and shrimp (5) combo. It comes with a large baked potato with bacon and drawn butter and sauce. It also includes large portion of grilled, peppers, asparagus and lettuce, onions. It was truly amazing. the huge lobster tails and shrimp were perfectly grilled. Tender, juicy, and amazing flavor. We all focused on these. The grilled veggies were crunchy, but tender. Walked past this one day and the smell alone made me know I had to try it. I decided I would dine there my last night in Cabo. There is a tree in the center of the place which I thought was great. My steak was delicious, the veggies were cooked to perfection. I wish I paid more attention to the baked potato, the bacon bits were meh. My bad on that, had I known, I would have asked to not add them. Service was great, we had two bartenders taking our orders, they were friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu and how thins were prepared. The hostess was extremely friendly and helpful as well. The couple sitting next to me told me they visit Cabo a lot and make sure to always eat here. I see why. The salmon was made with a really good sauce a side of vegetables and mashed potatoes. Everything was delicious! Definitely worth a repeat trip. The hubby was craving steak so we decided yo try this place out after we went to mango deck. Place was easy to find. The setting of the place is outside and it was a hot day when we arrived. We were greeted by the nice staff and they let us know of a couple specials they had. We had the sea and earth platter, a Cesar salad and a soup which I forgot but it was like a pumpkin. The soup was pretty good but wish the temperature of it was hotter. The salad was good as well, can't complain. The star of the dish was our entree! Everything was cooked perfectly, seasoned nicely and I enjoyed the butter for the lobster. Steak was a little small compared to some of the other pictures but was enough that we were so full by the end of our meal. The shrimp was really good and the lobster too. I would definitely come back and eat that meal again. The only bad was when our meal arrived a bunch of flies came by from it raining. The server was kind enough to light rosemary bundle and place napkins over our food to help with that. They also gave us a piece of chocolate cake on the house which was good and I forgot, the bread and butter was really good as well. read more

We had other plants that night, but had to stop by the bar attached to this restaurant- Cocks Cantina. After a couple of drinks & chatting with some ex-pats, this gentleman from Canada highly recorded this place describing it as a new venture between 2 brothers; one who operated the Roasted & the other Cocks Cantina. Cantina was amazing, so we decided to give Roasted a try. The place was packed with waiters galavanting back & forth between the kitchen and the& their respective tables. The customers were cheery & load. After glancing at the menu & ordering a bottle of wine, we opted for the Arrachera Beef & the Roasted Octopus. The Arrachera (flank streak) was perfectly medium-well cooked. It was fully of juice and flavor. It came with a side of refried beans & guacamole. The Octopus on the other hand was a bit of a disappointment. The seasonings and char on the octopus was great, but the meat unfortunately was over-cooked & rubbery. Octopus is my go to dish every time I see it & was excited to try it out. I would give the Flank stake 5 stars & the octopus a 3. Overall I will give a place 4 stars because they took the octopus back and did not charge me for it. We enjoyed the flank steak, and they even compt us a dessert for the trouble. The service was top notch, and I will definitely give them another try since they went over and beyond to make sure we were taken care of without a question. read more

First night in Cabo... this was a spot i had bookmarked and it was a block from my hotel. I walked by and saw they had bar seating so i popped in. I ordered a skinny Marg and looked at the food menu. They brought me bread. opted for a combination plate that had a chile relleno and steak w/ rice & Beans. Let me tell you...i had some amazing food in the days following this meal and this was by far the most memorable. the beans were smoky and perfectly seasoned. I ate the rice! (i generally don't finish my rice) easily best rice and beans i have ever had. steak was perfectly seasoned and tender. the relleno was delicious. the bread ..wow! so good. i ordered a pepino martini as my 2nd beverage and a bottle of water. I boxed up my leftovers (so i could eat again later tonight). They brough me a piece of cheesecake! OMG...so damn good!!! i took a few bites and decided to take it back to share with my daughter later (she was so happy that i did). i wish i had come back again ...but there is always next time. Just finished our last bite here. Walked in at 2 PM on a Thursday right when they opened. Hubby and I sat at the bar ordered the.Hamachi sashimi and the melted cheese. After we ordered two beers, they brought us a plate of tortilla chips with four homemade deliciously fantastic salsas, one is not for the feint of heart! 5 star food, just a couple blocks from downtown Cabo! This is the place for foodies who don't want the tourist trap restaurant. Bartender surprised us with a complementary decadent chocolate cake at the end of our lunch.
