We went out of our way to try multiple new restaurants this trip. Not newly opened but new to us. Roasted was one of those new stops and it is now on the future Cabo trips rotation. The atmosphere and service were excellent. We started with a glass of Malbec and Chardonnay before our Caprese and a Greek salads. Both were fresh and tasty. We split the Earth and Sea (think surf and turf) platter. They gave us an extra lobster tail too (winning!). It had grilled lobster, shrimp and a ribeye. The roasted vegetables were actually to die for. We killed the grilled asparagus, peppers and onions. It was an overall perfect platter and more than enough food for two. The service ended with a complimentary cheesecake and shot of tequila. Love and recommend this place. We will be back. read more

Roasted Grill & Bar was an absolute highlight of our recent trip to Cabo! We planned one evening out for dinner and landed on Roasted in downtown Cabo, and we hit the jackpot! The evening we dined here it was raining, and while that is normally not significant, Roasted is partially open-air with the middle of the restaurant having no cover, so the rain was pouring in and effectively closed 60% of the place. When we arrived, the hostess and owner were apologetic and offered to rebook us, but we aren't quitters and a little rain does hurt us...but they also had a table near the entrance that was covered, so we decided to take it and enjoy our evening. Best decision ever! We started our evening off with a few cocktails paired with shrimp ceviche, queso fundido with chorizo, guacamole and an assortment of salsas. Once we ate through all this goodness, we tossed in our main courses of short rib, octopus, imperial shrimp and tampequena's. Finally we rounded out our meal with a few desserts consisting of cheesecake, chocolate flan and key lime pie! Everything was cooked to perfection, plated beautifully and absolutely delectable from first to last bite! The tampequena was my order and consisted of flank steak sided with a chile relleno and quesadilla...all of my favorite things as one meal? Sign me up! The desserts were delightful with all of us non-flan people being converted after trying the chocolate flan! Ownership put the desserts and a round of tequila shots on the house due to rain, which is more than they had to do. We were beyond thankful and appreciative. Service was phenomenal as well. Our server, the hostess, owner and food runners were all engaged, friendly and helpful. The space itself is absolutely gorgeous! The lit tree in the middle of the restaurant is a centerpiece and a perfect anchor to the decor and vibe. Overall, Roasted was one of the best dining experiences we have had in a long time, and definitely the best one we had while in Cabo. Do yourself a favor and come here! This is a popular restaurant in the tourist area, where in general you can't go wrong. As I was alone, I sat at the bar. The bartender was busy, but friendly. The general vibe is moderately lively with a steady hum of voices. I chose guacamole and chips as an appetizer which wasn't needed and the only disappointment. It was pretty flat. For a main course I had Tampiqueña. It came as grilled Flank steak with Chile Relleno and Quesadilla, and included some rice and a small dish of refried beans. It was also served with dinner rolls. Both the meat and the Chile rellenos were amazing. The big plus was when they added a complementary dessert. (A very tasty cheesecake). You won't be disappointed, and the price was reasonable, which is getting more difficult to find in Cabo. I enclosed updated menus for 2025 because things have changed a lot since Covid. Didn't have a reservation so we sat at the bar where you get full service. Great ambiance in the restaurant. Bartender/ waiter was very attentive! Food amazing!!! Walked past this one day and the smell alone made me know I had to try it. I decided I would dine there my last night in Cabo. There is a tree in the center of the place which I thought was great. My steak was delicious, the veggies were cooked to perfection. I wish I paid more attention to the baked potato, the bacon bits were meh. My bad on that, had I known, I would have asked to not add them. Service was great, we had two bartenders taking our orders, they were friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu and how thins were prepared. The hostess was extremely friendly and helpful as well. The couple sitting next to me told me they visit Cabo a lot and make sure to always eat here. I see why. They even stood around us swatting the clouds of flies that gathered when the food was delivered. We had really good margaritas. Ordered the lobster, ribeye and shrimp (5) combo. It comes with a large baked potato with bacon and drawn butter and sauce. It also includes large portion of grilled, peppers, asparagus and lettuce, onions. It was truly amazing. the huge lobster tails and shrimp were perfectly grilled. Tender, juicy, and amazing flavor. We all focused on these. The grilled veggies were crunchy, but tender. The hubby was craving steak so we decided yo try this place out after we went to mango deck. Place was easy to find. The setting of the place is outside and it was a hot day when we arrived. We were greeted by the nice staff and they let us know of a couple specials they had. We had the sea and earth platter, a Cesar salad and a soup which I forgot but it was like a pumpkin. The soup was pretty good but wish the temperature of it was hotter. The salad was good as well, can't complain. The star of the dish was our entree! Everything was cooked perfectly, seasoned nicely and I enjoyed the butter for the lobster. Steak was a little small compared to some of the other pictures but was enough that we were so full by the end of our meal. The shrimp was really good and the lobster too. I would definitely come back and eat that meal again. The only bad was when our meal arrived a bunch of flies came by from it raining. The server was kind enough to light rosemary bundle and place napkins over our food to help with that. We had a delicious dinner tonight at Roasted Grill and Bar. We both enjoyed a Cadillac Margarita, and then I ordered Greek salad and my husband had puttanesca. The salad was one of the best Greek salads I have ever had!! And the puttanesca was delicious!! Then we had the lamp chops complete with mashed potatoes and mint jelly. First night in Cabo... this was a spot i had bookmarked and it was a block from my hotel. I walked by and saw they had bar seating so i popped in. I ordered a skinny Marg and looked at the food menu. They brought me bread. opted for a combination plate that had a chile relleno and steak w/ rice & Beans. Let me tell you...i had some amazing food in the days following this meal and this was by far the most memorable. the beans were smoky and perfectly seasoned. I ate the rice! (i generally don't finish my rice) easily best rice and beans i have ever had. steak was perfectly seasoned and tender. the relleno was delicious. the bread ..wow! so good. i ordered a pepino martini as my 2nd beverage and a bottle of water. I boxed up my leftovers (so i could eat again later tonight). They brough me a piece of cheesecake! OMG...so damn good!!! i took a few bites and decided to take it back to share with my daughter later (she was so happy that i did). i wish i had come back again ...but there is always next time. Whenever we visit Cabo this is one of our regular stops to eat. It's a little on the pricier side but food is always fresh and tasty. Service is always great, they are very attentive. We had other plants that night, but had to stop by the bar attached to this restaurant- Cocks Cantina. After a couple of drinks & chatting with some ex-pats, this gentleman from Canada highly recorded this place describing it as a new venture between 2 brothers; one who operated the Roasted & the other Cocks Cantina. Cantina was amazing, so we decided to give Roasted a try. The place was packed with waiters galavanting back & forth between the kitchen and the& their respective tables. The customers were cheery & load. After glancing at the menu & ordering a bottle of wine, we opted for the Arrachera Beef & the Roasted Octopus. The Arrachera (flank streak) was perfectly medium-well cooked. It was fully of juice and flavor. It came with a side of refried beans & guacamole. The Octopus on the other hand was a bit of a disappointment. The seasonings and char on the octopus was great, but the meat unfortunately was over-cooked & rubbery. Octopus is my go to dish every time I see it & was excited to try it out. I would give the Flank stake 5 stars & the octopus a 3. Overall I will give a place 4 stars because they took the octopus back and did not charge me for it. We enjoyed the flank steak, and they even compt us a dessert for the trouble. The service was top notch, and I will definitely give them another try since they went over and beyond to make sure we were taken care of without a question. read more
