Couldn't not try fresh seafood while we were here. While we did get a lot of recommendations (like Tres Islas and La Palmita) I wanted to find somewhere walking distance from our Airbnb that had great raw seafood and grilled. Found this on Google Maps and immediately knew I wanted to try this place. I was specifically looking for whole grilled octopus and chocolate clams and they delivered! Granted we did order a lot of food and couldn't finish my margarita because it was HUGE, I have no complaints. Food was excellent, service was pleasant, and they had live music for a little bit. Next time, I would definitely go in on the raw seafood and grilled octopus again, but skip the snapper. This is a small place just a little off the beaten track. Our Uber drive to the hotel recommended it. Wow the best grilled fish I have ever had (red snapper and some sort of garlic butter salt finishing drizzle before serving). And my wife had the coconut shrimp. Amazing!! We started with fish ceviche and it was obviously made fresh and delicious. Then seafood with lime juice, a good sampler with raw and cooked shrimp, octopus, tuna, and clam. I wanted to order grilled octopus, but waiter told us it was over a pound so that we switched to Caesar salad with shrimp. Dressing was made at the table and it took 7 minutes. Such an entertainment. We treated ourselves with glasses of Sauvignon Blanc and dessert. Everything tasted excellent. Having Mariachi coming to our table was a bonus. This was yet another really cool outdoor restaurant in Cabos. We had the octopus, shrimp and fish tacos. The shrimp and bass fish were so good, but the octopus was not at all edible unfortunately. It was so chewy it was like eating gum, it was not digestible at all. Our waiter was so nice though, he gave me another taco to replace the taco that should be called "gum taco" that I had to spit out after never ending minutes of chewing. His service made it a 5 star rather than 4 star experience. The beans and avocado were very fresh and the corn chips so crispy and flavorful. What a lovely place for a lovely meal away from the busy downtown area. Since this spot is only a few blocks down from my hotel, I decided to check it out for a nice wind-down dinner on a solo mode. I ordered a seafood platter combo that's usually only available for 2, but the waiter offered to customize the dish for 1 instead since I was by myself. The deal was pretty amazing since I opted to have it with lobster for only $40 and everything on that plate was very flavorful and delicious. The tiny garlic bread pieces that accompanied my meal were also delectable. Although I couldn't finish my food, it wasn't because I wasn't loving it; the portion's just too big for me to finish and I was savoring every bite of it. As for ambience, Las Mariscadas is perfect for anyone who's looking for a quiet, relaxing, or even romantic setting. Since the place isn't on the busy beachfront strip, you don't have to rub shoulders with others to eat here. With the soft warm hues of the lighting, cute beach-themed decorations, and live music playing in the background, the place is ideal for anyone to take their significant others for a nice dinner. read more

I dropped by this nice little restaurant, a bit off the strip, to enjoy a late lunch & a drink special. When I sat down, I asked if they had a 2 for 1 Paloma Happy Hour, or any other drink specials. The waiter apologized, & said they had no drink specials, but he'd be happy to offer a 2 for 1 margarita, so I said 'sure, that's fine'. The shrimp and octopus ceviche was really good, and the ambiance here is great. I got the bill, and I was charged for 2 margaritas, so I pointed it out to the waiter, and he said they don't offer 2 for 1's, but if I come back tomorrow, I can have a free margarita. I said 'well, how about I get the 2 for 1 that we talked about when I sat down? He said no. I told him there are two choices here. You can honor the 2 for 1 margarita we discussed, or I'll pay the bill in full, & never come back. His answer was, if u come back later, I can give u a 2 for 1 special. In short, if you're a gringo, they're going 2 play the language card & offer you specials & then not honor them. I live here in Los Cabos, and have rarely if ever experienced this, but these guys play this card, so beware! But again, the ambiance and food is really good! I would love to give them 5 stars but I just can't. The ambience is excellent. We came in an reviewed the menu, which was all seafood, as we expected. There were at least six choices we wanted to try. We ordered fried calamari to start, followed by shrimp fajitas and fish and shrimp in sjillo sauce. The calamari came out over cooked. We sent it back and the next order was cooked more. This may have been a result of the language barrier as we be were saying it was cooked too much and they may have been hearing"cook it more". In any case, we tried twice and gave up. On the entees, the shrimp fajitas were excellent. The shrimp and fish were cooked perfectly, but the sauce was too salty. Drinks and service were excellent. We will go back because of the atmosphere, drinks, and service and we think the food issues can easily be improved upon and may have just been a bad day. read more

Seating is covered outdoors, but we first noticed it was very dark. Had to use cellphone flashlights to read the menu. Order: -Oyster: Not too bad. They were a pretty good size, definitely fresh, and came with a wedge of lime -Mariscada fria camarón cocido, camarón crudo, pulpo, almeja, callo de lobina en temporada: We liked this dish a lot because all the seafood was extremely fresh. No fishy taste at all. However, we thought it was a mixed ceviche (because under menu it said from the Ceviche Bar) and was surprised when it was more like sashimi. -Fried calamari: Not too much, but served on a huge plate. It was alright. -Ceviche: Solid portions and flavors. -Flan: On the pricey side compared to the great seafood we had, but shared one piece amongst four people and it was perfect to end the night. The food was very good--and, as noted in the other reviews, this is a little off the well-worn tourist path of Cabo; so a bit of a change-up on your fifth day in town. ;) (As an aside-- pretty much all of CSL is a haven for tourists anyway, so who are we kidding?) The atmosphere is Cabo Casual. The dining is outside on a covered patio, so a welcome respite from air-conditioning. The service was prompt and friendly; the portions plentiful, and the drinks generous. I recommend Las Mariscadas if you're Ok with short taxi ride to a place a bit further afield than the other establishments you've been to many times before. I honestly don't even remember what we ordered here, but I do remember everything being bland and super mushy...almost something you could get at a really subpar restaurant in the states. It was recommended by our Airbnb host, and I really wish we did some research before saying "yes" right away. The really off-putting moment was when our host mentioned they prefer cash over card (and tips). It made the experience awkward and unenjoyable. A little open air restaurant just a little of the main tourist area in Cabo. It's Hidden treasure for sure. Wonderful service, Delicious food. Everything is fresh and handmade.
