Very happy to have found this new taco spot! Tacos and Mexican food always hit the spot, and the great reviews drew us in. I wouldn't call it a hole in the wall at all- it's set up pretty nicely, clean, with lots of options for toppings. The tacos are about 3/$11-4, which seems to be the new average price for tacos, and we also got a pupusa. All very delicious, and the serving sizes were generous. Made an order with nachos and tacos and asked for the cilantro on the side on everything. Picked up and took it over to a friend's place to enjoy. We discovered the cilantro was mixed in with the pico de gayo. I then called the manager/owner/counter/jerk employee and told him we asked for the cilantro on the side. He began arguing with me stating that I was supposed to know the cilantro was in the pico de gayo and that I should've expected it to be in there. I repeated to him that I asked for cilantro on the side and he should've had the pico de gayo on the side but he said that we should've told him that. I began correcting him saying he should've followed my request and put all cilantro on the side but he began talking over me repeatedly calling me "amigo". I finished with saying all you had to do was apologize and it would've been over and he responded with it was my fault for not asking for the pico on the side and not just cilantro and I just hung up on him. Foods decent but over priced in my opinion. The manager is pretty much the worst I've seen with handling customer service. Rude and unaccountable for his mistakes and did not hear me at all. Check out any of the other Mexican establishments in the area. Food is just as good if not better and more pleasant. read more

The best tacos I've had! They have taco specials and I tried the beef tongue and it is so delicious! They put a good amount of meat on the taco too. I also got the horchata and it was very refreshing and delicious. The staff was very nice and asked if you had any questions about the menu. They have a parking lot in the back and plenty of parking on the streets. The place is tiny with 2 tables and some outdoor seating as well. Will definitely be coming back! read more

Last night I ordered a few tacos for takeout. First time trying this place out. The steak in my carne asada taco wasn't seasoned AT ALL. Not even with salt and pepper. I couldn't be mueve this is how they cook their steak. My chicken tacos were good and had seasoning but the steak was terrible because clearly it was just thrown into the grill and cooked without any sort of seasonings or spices added to bring out the meat's flavor and that ruined the whole meal for me. Please do better with the steak tacos next time because that was an awful experience biting into that food. read more

I never write reviews however I was so excited when I tried the burritos at Los Compadres that I felt obligated to let other burrito lovers know of my experience! I have tried many Mexican / burrito restaurants and always have to order extra meat because such a tiny portion would be in the burrito accompanied by a huge amount of rice. Also I love lots of sour cream and all other restaurants give a 1oz container with the burrito and then charge $.75 to $1.00 for each additional 1oz container! Not at Los Compadres. There was an abundant amount of skirt steak in the burrito and no charge for extra sour cream. And the taste was delicious! The best I've had in the area. I just wish I had tried this restaurant sooner. read more

I got al pastor tacos, burrito de asada, corn w cheese, churros and tres leche. The al pastor tacos were delicious, crunchy pickled onions, pork cooked with pineapples, crunchy radishes UGH it was so delicious. So flavorful by itself and with the homemade hot sauces omggggg just delicious. The corn was DELICIOUS sweet and savory with the cheese. The churros were hot freshly made with gooey delicious creamy center. Fresh ingredients, welcoming staff, clean business. They don't skimp out on the hot sauces. Overall delicious. The first time I tried this place was when they just opened for a week. I ordered a shrimp taco for dining in. After the first bite, I realized the shrimp was raw and not fully cook. I spoke to the staff behind the counter, and they did apologize and gave me a new one and didn't charge me for it. Since then, I've never went back again. Fast forward to today, I happened to pass by and wanted to gave them another chance. I was hesitant at first because the place was empty when I walked in at around 12:30pm on a Saturday. I ordered a chicken burrito, and the guy behind the counter (RAUL - his name was on the receipt) waited few minutes before putting in my order. After waiting for another 5 minutes, he then proceed to put together my burrito. When he was done, he left the burrito on the counter, and proceed to put together another customer's delivery order, all the while I was waiting for my credit card charge to go through because their internet was down. About 10 minutes later with several attempts, my CC charge finally went through, and I was still standing there waiting for my burrito to go. By then RAUL was busy with another delivery order. Then a female staff next to RAUL finally proceed to put down her mobile phone that she has been playing with all this time, and grab the burrito with her bare hands and wrap it up and gave it to me. I was angry and dumbfounded. I am no expert but I am pretty sure that is a health code violation. I even had to ask for my receipt since she already walked away. I strongly suggest everyone to avoid this place at all cost. I ended up tossing the burrito in the trash. It was already soggy and who knows what else that female staff had touch besides her phone. Two attempts with two strikes is more than enough for me. read more
