I give Ranch Taqueria 2 stars. I've had this place on my list to try for awhile because everyone always raves about it, but honestly I wasn't impressed. I ordered the tacos al pastor and they were super greasy. The tortillas also didn't taste fresh at all. I ordered a tamale too and it was so dry it literally tasted like cardboard, like it had been sitting there and reheated in the microwave. The rice and beans were also really bland with no flavor. The place is inside a gas station so I wasn't expecting anything fancy, but I was expecting better food from all the hype. The Perfect Enchilada Fix! My husband and I recently treated ourselves to the enchiladas here, and they did not disappoint. We tried the Tres Colores--a delicious trio of cheese with green sauce, chicken mole, and ground beef with red sauce--and the Tapatías. Both were smothered in perfectly melted cheese. Perhaps I caught them on a bad day. I ordered an empanada, 2 orders of beef tacos azteca, and a Flan. Nothing was good. The empanada was burnt and tasted that way, the tacos were just fair and the flan had turned. It separated. I won't give them another opportunity, but perhaps your experience will be better than mine. read more

There are a couple of tables but basically it's zero ambience and you will likely takeout unless you stop for gas too and then park. I tried a variety of tacos, chips, salsa and guacamole. When I arrived I noticed the restaurant is attached to a gas station and I will not lie I was skeptical and hesitant. When I walked in the restaurant was pretty busy. I went to the counter and waited a bit. The nice man grabbed my food and took my payment and I left. When I got home I dug in and the food was very good. My usual Mexican spot was closed so I decided to give this place a try since it had good reviews. I ordered the chicken chimichanga lunch special and an empanada de pollo. The empanada could have used more chicken and the corn exterior could have been thinner. I found a toothpick in my chimichanga which, fortunately for me, I didn't bite into. The chimichanga wasn't crispy but instead more on the soggy side. The rice was a bit bland. Delivery was timely and the prices are reasonable. The best part of the order was the mandarin jarritos drink, which is bottled, so not sure that counts. Overall, I did not have a good experience and won't be ordering from here again. read more

Wow! Do not judge this place from the outside!! The steak and chorizo tacos were served with a side of yellow rice, beans and was extremely flavorful. Mind you the tacos are $14.00 for 3 so I'm over here already in shock by the prices. So I'm thinking it better b worth the money. Nothing hurts more than being disappointed by FOOD. Like many I was skeptical and pleasantly surprised. Yes it's located in a gas station. Yes the meat was fresh. The owner was kind and patient, nice to make recommendations and answer our questions. The food was made very quickly and was plenty. I got the super Al pastor tacos and my boyfriend got the chicken quesadillas. Both were good ! The sauces were great too but as others mentioned the red sauce has some kick to it. I love that but just be mindful if spice isn't your thing. I ordered from My Ranch Taqueria from DoorDash. My food arrived quick, I'm not too far from them would've drove if my car wasn't acting up. I ordered the chicken tacos which came with a small side of rice and beans & grilled green scallion onion. I also ordered a beef empanada. The chicken tacos were on the dry side and could use more seasoning. I received a chicken empanada instead of beef which didn't look all that great once I opened it, I tossed it. This is a taco truck style take out spot on the side of route 4. So if you do not have a ride you can't get there. Food here is delicious and fresh and authentic. The enchiladas tri colores comes with chicken and beef and 3 sauces, rice and beans. Tray was left empty. The tacos Aztecs (gringo taco) were also on point. The empanadas were nothing to write about and look and taste like the ones from Noches de Colombia across town. The tres-leches cake was also really good. El pastor meat is the star here at this location. Friend and I ordered tacos, torta and nachos. As crazy as it seems, it's hard to find really good authentic Mexican food in the area but this place is up there with the best of them. The meat was flavorful and the tacos and torta were generously filled with meat. I loved the torta as it was a good size and filled with vegetables, condiments and the bread was really good. I like the "salsa" here too. The salsa/sauces weren't too spicy to the point it overwhelmed the entire dish but was spicy enough. Couple of We unfortunately did takeout and even though our travel time was less than 5 minutes, the torta and nachos did not travel very well. The torta fell apart from the oil from the el pastor and the sauces although I'm not complaining too much since it's better than getting dry meat. The nachos....the chips were all completely soggy but I guess that's to be expected when they're buried under all the cheese and salsas. I definitely would not get the nachos again though as it was just poorly executed and did not have much flavor to them. The chicken was supposed to be "shredded" but there was no shredded meat...just large chunks of chicken. The overabundance of cheese just completely ruined the dish. Another con about this place is that you cannot get a la carte tacos. I'm personally not a fan of rice and beans in general so it would be nice to just have the ability to order just the tacos for a cheaper price rather than have to shell out $10 for a taco platter. Other than those flaws, the tacos and torta were great and I would go back to get them. Bonus points for being in a unique location (at a gas station) to give it some character. read more

Located off the highway and connected to a gas station, this restaurant has a cute little dining area and all food Mexican. I got a burrito michoacano, which I would highly recommend, and the tres leches. The guy in charge gave it to me cheaper because I didn't have enough cash, really kind. You may be skeptical to eat at a gas station but trust me when I tell you, order the entire menu! This cozy spot is inside of the convenience store of the gas station and it's run by a family. They serve authentic Mexican food and drinks and the flavor is definitely mouth watering. I would suggest the horchata and the carne asada tacos, they were delicious, fresh and the tortilla was soft. Tacos are topped with cilantro and onions just how I like and it's the perfect pairing with horchata. Definitely not one of those Mexican spots blaring music and serving Drinks. It's a tight spot so I'd suggest going with a party no bigger than 3 Max. They have a counter that seats 4 and 2 tiny tables that seat 2. We ordered Al Pastor Tacos which came with Rice and Beans, and Chicken Fajitas served with some fresh veggies (Onions, Broccolini and Zucchini) accompanied by Rice and Beans and Tortillas. The food was great and the 2 guys working there were very friendly and took pride in their food. The prices were a bit higher than expected, but when I was talking with a man who I assumed was the owner he told me he has a goal to open an additional spot, I'm willing to pay a bit more to support that dream. I love this place. Hole in the wall feels, it's connected to a gas station so it could be hard to miss if you're passing by but I highly recommend. I always get their enchiladas either the tri color one or the enchilades verdes from their lunch menu (only available before 3pm). The flavors are *chefs kiss* and this is coming from someone who previously did not really like enchiladas. Their al pastor taco is really good too it comes with this big scallion/green onion that's cooked and makes the whole thing even more delicious- sometimes it comes with the order and sometimes not so check your order. Their green and red sauce is yummmy make sure to add that to the side of your order for anything. My coworkers and I order lunch from here often and it's one of my favorite lunches lol.
