$187 for a family of four to have a breakfast on par with the Holiday Inn Express…read more So disappointing. We were excited to get a reservation for this breakfast experience. Unfortunately it was awful. We were sat on the enclosed porch. We had Christmas music blaring so loud that you had to shout. (Someone later unplugged the speaker.) The temp on the porch reached 79, which was quite uncomfortable. We waited about 45 minutes for our food. And, boy was it awful. Frozen pancakes, frozen biscuits, ok gravy, ok casserole and really good sausage links. No serving utensils for anything - had to use my fork to get gravy. No butter. I will say, the place is decorated really well. Top marks for that. As far as food service - this place has no idea what they're doing. All in all - you'd be better off getting a room at the Hampton Inn. It would be cheaper and the breakfast is better. Guess you have to determine how much you're willing to pay for a photo of your kids with the Grinch. (Which we didn't get because we were so hot and uncomfortable.)

You can tell the owners put a lot of love, care and Christmas cheer into making this place special and memorable. The entrance even has a photo station so you can get adorable group photos easily. This is one of the few Christmas bars that also offers family-friendly brunch in the mornings. I heard the Grinch brunch is amazingly silly and fun for Grinch lovers. Highly recommend requesting Ali as your server as she is an absolute delight and such a happy Elf! Be sure to try the Dubai Chocolate or Peppermint Patty drinks.

Orange Blossom Coffee: Polished Pop-Up with Signature Flavor…read more I discovered Orange Blossom Coffee at the Edwardsville Fall Makers Market and was thoroughly impressed. Despite being a mobile, events-only coffee shop (they've only been around since the summer of 2025!), their setup was incredibly polished and trendy. They clearly put a lot of thought into their presentation, making the mobile espresso bar feel just as professional as any brick-and-mortar shop. I ordered the Man in Black latte, one of their signature drinks--a combination of blackberry and vanilla. The description promised "timeless and classy," and it delivered. The espresso was smooth and pleasant, thankfully lacking the sour notes I often find at other local shops. The blackberry flavor was wonderfully forward but was beautifully rounded out by the creamy vanilla notes. It was an absolute delight to sip on this hot latte while enjoying the crisp fall air. The service was charming. While the speed was about what I expected with a line, the two women working the tent were incredibly welcoming and engaging. They happily shared parts of their business story as I gushed about their cute and professional setup, answering all my questions with a smile. Their genuine enthusiasm added a lovely personal touch to the experience. Their pricing is quite reasonable for a high-quality, specialty drink. Lattes are a standard price point at about $6 for, I believe, a 12-ounce size. If you're looking for value, their Americanos are only $3, and their lemonades are a steal at $2. Chai lattes clock in at $4. I highly recommend seeking them out at an event and giving them a try! I'm already wondering if their pop-up espresso bar would be a great fit for my organization's next event, or even a wedding or shower brunch. If you have them at your event, definitely send me a message--I'm eager to try the Salted Maple Latte off their fall seasonal menu! We ordered ahead (highly recommend) and we got two pizza boxes but ordered 4 slices. Detroit style pizza isn't a new concept, but why are the massive here? They are SOO GOOD though. The bread was absolutely the best part and the combos for their specialty flavors are not to be beat. The mushroom slice will probably be my favvorite STL wise, and the Elote slice is what I will dream about. Service was great! The team here really seems to enjoy what they do and I think you can feel it in how they talk to you. There is hardly anywhere to sit here, so just take out and eat it at Forest Park or home. I highly recommend for all my pizza lovers!

The shop itself is really nice. There are cute photos of the workers with family and guests that really shows the personality of the place and I loved that. There were some funny photos that also showed a sense of humor and it was delightful. The lasagna pizza was the best pizza I've ever had in my life. The ricotta was so light and the flavor of the sauce had such crazy depth. The pesto added the perfect amount of freshness to the pizza and it was just... ten out of ten starts. A MUST have. I'm already counting the days until I go back. The mushroom pizza was good but not what I'm looking for in pizza. It was a very light garlicky pizza but was a lot sweeter than I had anticipated and I'm not a sweet pizza person, but if you are, then you'll probably like it/

This was my first time going to this restaurant and I've been wanting to try for about a year now…read more When I arrived the food smell good and the place looked clean and the staff was very friendly. We looked over the menu and we ended up ordering fried catfish, fried Green tomatoes, and fried pork chops. I also got a side order of mac and cheese and mashed potatoes and gravy and fried okra. The fried green tomatoes came out and I felt like they were overcooked very mushy inside. The outer banner was very crunchy and cooked well the inside didn't really have much taste. The menu said they would serve it with a ranch dressing but it ended up being some other type of reddish sweet and sour type creamy dressing. It was ok. The pork chops we're dry and the meat tasted old. I think they need to change their meat supplier. The mashed potatoes taste it like I had a ton of garlic powder. In my opinion a restaurant should never use garlic powder but instead use fresh garlic in their dishes. It's really easy just to throw cloves of garlic in the potatoes as you're boiling them. Or roast them. I was burping up garlic for several hours after I left. You can often judge a soul food restaurant by their mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was baked but the cheese sauce tasted like nacho cheese sauce. Or some type of ready-made cheese sauce. And they just mixed up the cheese sauce with some elbow pasta, threw some American cheese on top and threw it in the oven. It was not the worst mac and cheese I ever had but it was definitely not good. The restaurant was very clean and I like their decor. Ray came out talking to customers and checking on their satisfaction. He was nice and I didn't have the heart to give him bad news. But I really believe unless they fix their recipes and show more imagination that they're not going to make it. Lighten up on the salt. The food was too salty. I wanted to try their sweet potato pie but after me and disappointed by all the other dishes I changed my mind. I probably won't be going back. 65 bucks for dinner for two.
