Los Dos Amigos has the kind of food you would expect from your typical Americanized Mexican restaurant. The building is large, but dated, and they don't seem to care about keeping their restrooms clean. Use at your own risk. Service was okay, but nothing stellar. I thought my Tacos al Carbon tasted good, but they just weren't on par with similar dishes I've had at other "Mexican" restaurants. Food and service are worth 4 stars, but the overall lack of cleanliness, especially in the restrooms, drags their score down. Definitely wouldn't be my first choice for Mexican food in the area. read more

The staff is super sweet and very attentive. The food is ok. I had the taco salad with chicken. It is very bare bones - no rice or beans. I added guacamole and sour crème and you pay extra for that. They really need a deluxe option, but it is inexpensive if you just get their standard salad. read more

I've been coming here my whole life and it has always been incredible. The food is delicious and the staff goes above and beyond. Recently my sister left her leftover food box and water bottle on the table, and the staff had everything saved for her when we returned to get the water bottle. It was so sweet! Great food with big portions !! My friend and I came for lunch, and they did not disappoint. She ordered the flank steak with shrimp skewers. She really liked it, it looked good. I ordered the chicken and steak fajitas, my portion was huge !!! Lots of steak and chicken, I had to share because I got so much food. After 8 hrs of driving, this place helped to relax and rejuvenate. Family restaurant according to sign. Very friendly and welcoming. Felt very welcomed due to the friendly staff. Service exceptional and attentive. Portion is great and food is delicious and large portions. It's nice to eat at a place where you are treated like a family. I got the fiesta mexicana and was very disappointed :/ From the image on the menu, it looked like there would be thick and juicy pieces of skirt steak, but in reality the pieces were really thin and tough ;-; The shrimp was also reallyy salty and didn't have much flavor. Textbook definition of "Mexican Restuarant". The entire building was laid out VERY poorly with various rooms and pockets of space that dont even get correctly distributed air flow (some areas feel warm, other areas freezing cold). Staff is always UNDERSTAFFED. Which means at peak times, you will wait a while. Because of the poor layout, wait staff will also waste valuable time walking around taking care of one group, and completely overlook several couples that sit in the lounge for a quick beer or entree. Food is just ok. You will be walking out feeling bloated. Pricing is fair. Service can be ok or poor, you honestly never know. Lots of gross people hanging around outside waiting to return bottles and cans for a couples bucks so they can buy some Watermelon flavored Four Lokos. Or whatever. Eww. read more

We went to dinner here a few nights ago. The restaurant was very clean and decorated nicely. We received prompt and friendly service. The chips were warm and crispy and fresh. We were served salsa and re-fried bean dip. Both were very tasty. I ordered the Gaudalajara Burrito. Omg it was so delicious. My partner ordered a different burrito and it was delicious as well. We got drinks at this place yesterday and they were just terrible. My husband got a margarita no alcohol in it my sister ordered a strawberry daiquiri, no alcohol in it either and I got a margarita with amaretto in it no alcohol in it either. I told the bartender guy who was on duty around 3:30 yesterday afternoon he said oh yes he put plenty of alcohol in all them I said no I didn't taste any alcohol in any of those drinks he said well if I put more alcohol on it my boss would want to know where the money was for that alcohol. Seems a little crazy to me but save your time and your money they charged me $9.50 for my drink that I didn't even touch. Granted we're all in our 60s and 70s so we don't need that much alcohol but believe me there was none. read more

Have to say for me being a full blooded Hispanic and raised on all my moms and grandparents authentic Mexican food well this place is pretty good and every dish my wife and I had was pretty scrumptious. Great customer service and pretty upbeat with there servers is pretty good and we find are shelves going back again and again. A need to try place. You'll leave full. read more

We were so excited to find one of these after eating at the one in Eugene. They are NOT the same. I got nachos and the chips were not the same as the one in Eugene. They are OK it's a Mexican restaurant but the staff kind of made us feel like we were bothering them. If you do not go to the location in Eugene and don't compare the two it's ok. read more

Very good service, and was satisfied with the food quality. The problem was a big one...the restaurant had the definite stench of raw sewage! First of all, came to eat around 6:30 and hungry. Knew what I wanted to order both drinks and food. Apparently the waiter would only take our drink order before he would take my food order. Sorry but last I checked, I was the customer. Ordered carne asada street tacos but got carne asada dinner plate instead. Asked for corn tortillas but got flour instead. Not sure if he purposefully did this but he was a jerk for messing up everything I ordered. I'm going back there to be a Karen BIG TIME and complain to the manager. Wish me luck! Wow! The service was terrible. A woman gave us a seat in an area where the TV was and my husband asked for a seat away from the TV. She found us a seat in another area but not before giving him "the look". She promptly brought us the appetizer but then completely for got to come back to take our order. We had to find her and ask for service and again "the look". She pretty much acted like she had better things to do, she gave us the wrong order, didn't ask if we wanted water or if we wanted flour or corn tortillas. We made reservations ahead of time, it was a group celebration. I was the first one to arrive and was told that our table was ready they were just waiting for the rest of our group. Instead of taking me to the table and letting me wait for the rest of my group they left me sitting in the cold, draftee, uncomfortable lobby waiting for the rest of my group. I was super thirsty so I stepped inside of the lounge got someone's attention and finally got a glass of water a large plastic glass of ice water. I then returned to the lobby where I continued to sit on the hard straight backed seating now juggling a 16 oz glass of ice water with no place to set it people walked by me people looked at me people ignored me. I sat there for 20 minutes waiting cold and uncomfortable. The celebration was good the food mediocre at best. The service for our table after we were seated was very good. I've come here many times in the last several years and I do admit- Sometimes service is a hit or miss. Mostly the male serves seem to be more happy and welcoming. If you sit in the bar you have a better chance of a good time. Food is a hit or miss as well but many things are good and for the price the portion size is plentiful. The chicken taquitos appetizer, cheese or chicken side order enchalada, and the Chicken Creama have never failed me. The alcohol selection is what a come here for though. LOTS of flavorful cocktail type drinks that are reasonably priced. One of the few places I've seen that serves more then just Beer and Wine, thank god! read more

As soon as i walked in here i didnt feel welcomed. Service was terrible. They are friendly but not professional. i was really disappointed. Food looks good. Tastes ok. And they do not have aguas frescas! What mexican restaurant dont serve horchata or jamaica??? We were seated by the family room and there were 2 parties of 25 so they were cleaning and setting up the tables so it looked so rushed in there. they have a huge menu too big to decide on what to order. One of my favorite places to eat is Los Dos Amigos. The portions are great and the prices are affordable. I love their happy hour options as well. They have large cocktails (margaritas) at a good discount. The happy hour also comes with a free side of crunchie taquitos which are quite tasty. The lunch menu prices are great and the portions are not much smaller than the dinner plates. My absolute favorite item to order is the cheesy flavorful tortilla soup. I dont care if its winter or summer I love order that soup. read more

Grubhub screwed me over and never picked up my order. Upon calling the restaurant they informed me that this happens a lot. They now offer delivery services and they are going to bring the food to me instead of having me come get it. They have the best customer service I've experienced in a long time and of course the food is delicious. Definitely a must in Albany! read more
