My father Gerardo Meza owned this restaurant years back, when it was El Presidente , best food ever, until someone burnt it down over night/ early morning. I would never forget growing up, helping and creating my childhood memories here with huge birthday celebrations. unfortunately we didn't get it back after the fire his enemies started. I'll never forget the pain and agony , as now my late father recently passed , he has visited me in my dreams today and we were here once again eating as a family. I know it sounds crazy but dreams are real. and here I am writing a review, I absolutely love the new creation and love you put in this restaurant and I can't wait to come into town for a visit and grab our favorite foods. It's unfortunate because the food and appetizers were amazing. Everything was perfect up until the server brought our food out and spilled green salsa all over my white pants and jacket! I was understanding that accidents happen but when they stopped coming by to check on us and after receiving no compensation at the end. Plus the server changing the story to the manager saying that I spilled the salsa on myself and then wanted compensation! I had to post this review. The server was in the bar section with blond hair. I ordered the margarita flight, and it did not disappoint with 4 generous sized drinks ! The horchata was also excellent. For food, I went with the chicken enchilada and chimichanga, and both were absolutely delicious. Honestly, I'm not sure why this place has bad reviews my experience was 5/5 for both service and authentic Mexican food. Tuesday the place to go..tuesday specials taco $13.99. Food consistently good, fresh and served quickly. Few people in restaurant at 3:30 like having the restaurant all to ourselves providing a cozy experience. The salsa taste home made as there have been some variations in the past. In trying to find another Mexican restaurant I stumbled upon this place. Nice ambiance, clean, with plenty of tables and booths. Service was quick with a smile and I ordered the carne asada tacos (seeing as I was Taco Tuesday). These were not street tacos but regular size and filled with meat, onions, and peppers with salsa on the side. Very satisfying. The guacamole was quite good. Hostess forgot to include one of my meals then was rude about it. I called to address the situation of missing one of my four meals. She told me that she put the food in the bag and it was there. She argued with me that it was there with the other meals. She then went to speak to management (I was on hold for 7 minutes), then asked me what I wanted to fix this. I told her that I wanted my missing meal as I paid for it and as I still had a kid waiting for their dinner. She had the audicity to tell me that they would need to remake the meal and it would take 10 minutes. I arrived in 10 minutes and asked the hostess for my missing meal. The hostess walked away and hide from me. (not due to something I did-but she did) She had told me that they would have to remake the meal, but she lied. I watched the manager walk from the kitchen, around the seats, and then grab a bag of food that was sitting on the "pick-up table". She walked over to me, put the food on the counter, and said "Sorry. Here's your food." This was susposed to have been a remade meal and should've been hot still; it was cold. My guess is the Hostess forgot my meal, then argued with me about it, then lied about having to remake it. The very LEAST management could've done was remake my forgotten meal that had been sitting on their pick-up table for over 30 minutes. Terrible choice from management. I doublt that rude hostess will be talked to either. I hope you experience the same treatment when you are ill, have hungry kids, and just got off of a 10 hour shift. read more

We've been here several times, and it's decent food and usually way better service. Tonight, we had zero service (ok, we did, but it had to be one of the worst I've had in quite a while). We sat down, we're given menus so faded you could barely see them. Thank goodness for pictures! We ordered margaritas and water, and she asked if we needed more time to look at the menu. Well, yeah, we just barely sat down, so she left to take the order of the table next to us and disappeared, figured she was getting the drinks. It took over 30 min to get them, but no water, and asked again if we could please get water as well. Said yes, and she walked away. I drank my margaritas (good, by the way) While we were waiting for our food. I was finished with mine, daughter wasn't, a young man brought the Mexican corn out to us, asked if I was done, I asked him for another one, said he would get it. I also asked if we could please get water. He brought us water... yay! It took approximately 45 min to get our food, served by someone else. Never saw the waitress again. Only 4 tables in her section. None of us saw her until we were almost done with food. I asked for a container, received, got the 89$ bill (with a surcharge of almost 3$ for using my card) Really not worth 90$ of my hard earned money and trying to treat myself and my oldest daughter to dinner. This is one of our favorite restaurants in the Keizer/Salem area. We are from southern CA and it's hard to find the Mexican food we are used to but this place is great (the salsa in Oregon just isn't as amazing as in Cali. Stopped here on the way home after hiking and wow was I impressed. There aren't a lot of places like Los Dos Amigos Hacienda in this area and I was blown away by all of the homemade dips and tortillas. You're greeted by fresh tortillas and house made salsa with refried beans. We got the fajitas and the cheese dip. Both were delicious and piping hot when delivered. The staff here made me miss going out as much as I used to. They were so awesome and friendly, I really appreciated that. I thought it was a nice touch to serve a side of beans along with the chips and salsa. I love a good combination plate so I have plenty of leftovers for later and they have a good one with plenty of options along with a very full size menu of other offerings. Portions were plentiful to say the least and we all thought the food was really good. We had several different meats between us and I did taste a wide variety and will say that they were all flavorful, so I don't think you can really go wrong. It's really just a preference. Prices seemed in line with anything else out there. We ate there, but I still had so much food it took 2 containers just for my leftovers alone, so when you think about how many times you'll eat for the price you can see how reasonable it is. Nice little atmosphere with a cute little photo op in the entryway. Plenty of parking and easy to get to. The decor is beautiful. The salsa kinda bland. If you like spicy salsa or salsa full of flavor, this wasn't it. To me it tasted similar to the stuff you buy in the jar. The salsa is the only reason I'm not giving 5 stars. We ordered the margarita flight which was fun, a 2 item combo, and the elote. I enjoyed the elote, not many Mexican restaurants offer that so I was pleasantly surprised. I do think the beans they bring at the start could have been warmer as well. Wow this place was great. Came here after a long day of pickleball and all I wanted was a plate full of Mexican food and boy did they deliver! They weren't super swamped so we were greeted and seated quickly. The chips were farm and fresh and the salsa and bean dip was amazing, I could have filled up on that. I ordered the los dos smog is burritos and it was a ton of food and I couldn't have been more thrilled. But the best part was that while there was quantity the quality was also there! The meat in both burritos was tender, juicy, and flavorful. The staff was attentive and quick to get drinks and extra chips. They also were great about getting some extra fajita veggies for one of the meals that felt lacking. Lastly when we go to go boxes one of the ladies made two more fresh tortillas to take with our leftovers! We were very disappointed last night. Pulled into the parking lot and noticed garbage everywhere. We walked into the front lobby and it didn't smell right. I went into the bathroom to wash my hands before dinner, and the bathroom stunk. It definitely needs a good cleaning. The meals were good as always and the staff was very attentive. After dinner, we went into the Poker room and that room didn't smell any better than the bathroom. I didn't say anything to my wife until we got to the car and I mentioned how dirty it was. Went to celebrate Father's Day with friends. We asked for two separate checks. The waitress I believe her name was Susy or Susana proceeded to rip check in half and asked if that was half enough? I did not respond rude due to my friends father that asked to not say anything. Out of respect I did not say anything and we proceeded to pay the check. She did not want to split the check.
