This rating is for the fish tacos. There is hardly any fish which was disappointing! We've received good food the majority of the time, but they missed the mark on this.

We had a delicious meal here. The restaurant is darker but inside but has a nice blue light to the room. Ads are on the tables like an old diner. Outside are wonderful seats when the weather is not hot or rainy. I was concerned when we first arrived because the waitress didn't understand my allergy. We had safely eaten there 2 times before. One time they had gluten free mole sauce and it was amazing, but they don't carry it anymore. The food came out amazingly fast. The only problem came when another waiter brought out the food and put fried tortillas strips on top. They quickly made a whole other dish for me. *In the future it would be helpful to have a red marker or something to alert all staff that it is an allergy.

Awesome atmosphere and delicious food the best Mexican food I have ever had you are not just a customer you are Family. The food was top notch quality and the service was exceptional love it so much very memorable. I could give this place above 5 stars the owner made you feel so welcomed. They were very attentive the service was the best I ever experienced drinks were delicious. This is a hidden Gem and I recommend to try it you will not be disappointed. I give this place 10 stars plus.

An affordable place to eat for two! We shared mixed fajita plate for two -- which double all the meats and sides. It comes with chicken, steak and shrimp. The portion was huge we had to take the rest home. They have beer on draft and a small tequila selection. Prices are affordable!

AMAZING...After living in Florida for 3 years we've been deprived of authentic Mexican cuisine. Here us the spot to get it! Staff was authentic, drinks were authentic, and food was absolutely traditional and authentic to desert southwest Mexican...not Tex-Mex or "Florida Mexican" food. Real tortilla chips and salsa. Prices were great as well. We will return here for sure.

Very good food and atmosphere. The manager is friendly and truly cares about his customers. Thank you!

Passing through and caught my eye as mexican food lover decided to stop for lunch. I was greeted and sat quickly. Drink order taken with chipsand salsa upon seating and the waiter came by a few seconds later. I ordered off the lunch menu 2 soft tacos and they were terrific. The meat was moist and finely ground a nice helping of sour cream and cheese. They were great. Meal also came with rice and refruebd bean both very good as well and not over cooked tasted very fresh. Great atmosphere. Clean and organized inside. Food was excellent and prices very fair. Staff was plentiful and friendly I didn't have to ask for drink refills or anything they were on the ball! High recommend and I will definitely be back when driving through next time

Delicious Dessert...Flan or Custard...this was my actual favorite part of my meal...it was so good!

Just your normal, everyday, "American" Mexican restaurant. Chips always taste old. Red salsa is good.

Our waiter was rude to us. The faijitas were so salty & small portion. Our Bill was not small. It was a bad experience.

It's a grocery store where you can pick up your weekly groceries--meat, produce, pretty much anything you need. But the BEST part? The little taco spot inside the store. This is what you call a true hole-in-the-wall hidden gem! The tacos NEVER disappoint. They're always packed with meat, juicy, flavorful, and just so damn good. I'm not even exaggerating when I say these are probably some of the best tacos I've ever had. I've had tacos from plenty of big Mexican restaurants, and honestly... none of them compare to this little spot. My personal favorite is the al pastor but honestly, ALL of their tacos are so good. Al pastor is just my weakness LOL. And the prices are so reasonable too! Now hubby and I are making it our weekly Sunday ritual: come grocery shop for the week and grab some tacos while we're here. The staff is always so friendly and welcoming, too, which makes the experience even better. I honestly wish I could give this place a 10 out of 5 because that's how good it is! Seriously, check this place out. You won't be disappointed!

These mayyyy have been the best tacos I've ever had. I sat in the car inhaling them like a little gremlin because as soon as I smelled them, I knew I couldn't wait. The homemade salsa was incredible and just the right level of heat. This place was also incredibly affordable - I had three of the traditional asada tacos for under 8 bucks. Five freaking stars from me.

As a seasoned Yelp reviewer, it's important to stick to your guns and give accurate ratings. Yes,…read morethis place has very high reviews, but IMO, they're a bit overinflated. Here's why. This is a very small, strip mall kinda joint. And that vibe kinda controls the ambience. It's a place to eat, pay your check and leave, not to hang out and get comfortable. The servers are nice and it has a genuine small business feel. That's a good thing. Also, it's obvious that this place does care about the food they're serving and their customers. But let's get to the food in detail. We ordered tacos - cabeza, al pastor and carne asada - with chips and salsa. The chips and salsa were ok, but the chips were kinda thick and heavily fried. The tortillas on all the tacos broke apart in every instance, splitting so the insides fell out in the tray. This makes me think they are just food-service grade and not made there at the restaurant. For the cilantro and onion, they used red onion, which is unique, but definitely not the norm for authentic tacos. The tacos were also meat-heavy and far greasier than most tacos I've eaten. This led to some serious digestive issues for myself and my accompanying guest. We both went through it. I know, TMI, but it's worth pointing out because the greasy nature of the meat was notable while eating, as was the overly-fried nature of the chips. Finally, when asking for hot sauce, they don't have a house-made pica. It's just Yucateco, which anyone can buy at a grocery store. Don't get me wrong. This isn't a bad restaurant, but it's worthy of 3 out of 5 stars, which to me is a C grade. Average. A fair score for this place.

It was a very pleasant surprise after learning about this business and stopping in to sample their amazing dishes! OMG!! What an amazing array of food on the menu! I thought it…read morewas just a food truck type of spot, but it was actually a market with a little bit of everything, including hot food and ice cream. My wife and I arrived and tried to find parking in the lot, but it was very small with lots of vehicles parked all over, so we went to the side of the building and that's when I saw the food truck. It looked operable with outdoor seating, but no menu. So we parked in the grass area and went inside the market. The inside is much larger than it appears from the outside. The back area has some tables to dine-in and it a small section more towards the back has homemade ice cream! Onto the food.....they have a large menu with lots of options. Picture ALL of your favorite Mexican foods and then some! We tried the 5 street tacos with Jibarito (drink) special for $13.50. We added a couple of supreme tacos, a plate of refried beans and yellow rice, and a tamale. Note: We ordered chicken for the tacos and tamale. While the chicken was just ok, I would imagine that any other meat would have tasted better. Everything came out to about $25 and tasted good. Surprising, the best part were the refried beans, which is a first for me because those are usually afterthoughts at every other place I've been. So the verdict is in....is Crystal THE best Mexican food in Deland? No, but it's pretty solid. It reminded me of a gas station version of Garcia's down the street.
