I joined some friends for a birthday party and los garcia is his favorite mexican food restaurant. All of the dishes looked fantastic and delicious. I like to see what they have on the la carte , and I got a beef chimichanga, and a chili Relleno. Both were absolutely delicious. I was gonna with the chimichanga. You always get a side of sour cream and guacamole.Just the perfect amount with the lettuce garnish. Always perfect. You can order the Chimichanga in shredded beef, ground beef, chicken or carnitas. That's four different Chimichangas that they offer and what I told each one is absolutely delicious. I always love to order the chile relleno because you get a nice anaheim , or a poblano chili in it, stuffed with cheese, dipped in their batter, cooked and topped with their house sauce. Always a perfect choice and a perfect choice to compliment whatever you order with it. Their birria tacos looked absolutely delicious. I might order those when I go another time. Yeah, everyone enjoyed their food. Even the children; they had good choices for the children. As you can see in the pictures , the atmosphere is sweet and wonderful and inviting. There is a giant picture of Pedro Infante, the most famous singer from all of Mexico. His popularity is as strong as Elvis Presley. From what i'm told; and they are both passed away. The chips and salsa were yummy and homemade. The wait staff were very friendly, sweet, and they were able to answer questions about anything within the restaurant. The place was packed. Everywhere I looked there were groups of people, friends and family sitting there, enjoying their food. This was a fun restaurant for a hosting birthday party at.

Both Chile Verde burritos are smothered and only difference is one at top has cheese. Per Nacho.

I considered giving a 1 star but since the chile verde platter was decent I gave 2. My issue arose with the to go items I ordered. Ordered 2 Chile Verde Burritos. Nacho asked if I wanted them smothered and I said "no just the burritos w/o any sauce". What was delivered and what was on the receipt was "smothered chile verde burritos". When I told him they were wrong he said that is the way they come. I asked what the difference was between the 2 listings on the menu, one that says smothered and one that doesn't and he said "cheese". Nacho said they don't make them with chile verde inside and what did I want to do. Left them on the table since I needed burritos to "travel", paid the full bill and left. Not how I thought they should have treated me and has me questioning if I know what I burrito is now. :)

We came here as a family for dinner, and the whole experience was just OK. We visited at the end of April, but for whatever reason it was incredibly hot in the restaurant. Like they hadn't yet turned on the a/c after winter time. It was uncomfortable. Our service was fine--no stand out actions in either direction. Pretty standard. Our food was also fine. I got the two chimichangas and had some leftover but didn't take them home. (For the record, I always take home my leftovers.) We did enjoy the churros. I feel like when we have Lone Star Taqueria close by, or could drive a little while for Don Pollo or Chile Tepin, I would rather go there.

This is a fun little spot with fantastic lunch specials! The fried ice cream is also very good. The staff was kind enough to accommodate my request of no beans, extra rice. We experienced no problems of any kind on a recent lunch visit and will certainly be back.

We were looking for great Mexican food and we were not disappointed. Chips and salsa were tasty, the salsa had a nice bite. I had the small combination with a shredded beef hard taco and chicken enchilada. Both were delicious. I loved the enchilada sauce. My husband had the beef fajitas and they were also really good. Service was excellent. The only thing that was just ok was the michelada. We will be back!

The ambiance is your typical Mexican restaurant that appeals to the average white American. I came here looking for some cheap Mexican food that satisfied a craving on my day off and it was decent. It's not the best, but it's definitely better than a lot of places. They have various frozen margs that had I been with other people, would have loved to try it. They include chips and salsa with your meal and even offered me an additional serving of chips and salsa even though I was alone. The service was slow but the food came out quickly and it was a bit crowded for a weekday. I ordered the enchiladas suizas, which aren't the typical cream-based salsa, but it had a nice amount of cheese. Portions are great and the food was tasty. I was in and out in 45 minutes. They also have a small patio in front overlooking the parking lot.

Based off of a food delivery order. Food was warm when delivered. I got the Smothered chili verde burrito. I found it very bland, lacking any real authentic flavor. I felt I even lost my own substance eating this one. Cheese was shredded melted american.. pork also seemed tasteless and was cubed small. There wasn't much sauce as I was hoping for EITHER. As you can tell being this saucy ain't come from nothin'. Food seems VERY mediocre and dare I say made intentionally for those without melanated skin.. OOOP Chips and salsa were actually good. Salsa as you imagined, NO heat but tasted freshly made with ripe tomatoes. I get it, the majority here can't even pop a candied hot tamale without turning beet red and requesting an ambulance Rice and beans.. rice was dry and seemed warmed up from previous day or days batch. Beans were just OK. At this point all I have to say is "meh". If anything this place took the cha cha out of my step, and the beat out of my Friday night. I'm unwell..

Of everything we tried, the Cheesy Pastor Tacos were the clear standout. The birria, asada, and chorizo were all good, but the pastor tacos stole the show. Next time I'll probably skip the variety and just order those. The only thing that caught us off guard was the seating policy. They wouldn't seat our table until everyone in the party had arrived, even though the people we were waiting for were literally pulling into the parking lot. It wasn't a huge issue, but it did feel a little unnecessary and inconvenient. Overall, the food was excellent, the drinks were refreshing, and the experience was a good one. I'll definitely be back, especially for the Cheesy Pastor Tacos.

She raved about the flavor and could only finish half. I ordered a unique taco which had an authentic name this gringo cannot remember but it was built on a house made corn tortilla about twenty inches long and ten inches wide. Steak, Mexican cream, tomatillo sauce, freshly shredded lettuce and cheese. I've never had anything like it but it is awesome. The service was quick and efficient. Very delightful people. I honestly did not like their refried beans, but with sour cream and the tomatillo sauce it was good. However, they did not mention that a little bowl of sour cream and tomatillo salsa was $3 each! Unfortunately it needed it though. The prices for everything seemed a bit steep. They do give complimentary chips and salsa, and I really liked their two salsas. The service wasn't great and it wasn't even busy. With so many restaurants in the area I would probably go somewhere else.

While there were some things we enjoyed, the overall experience didn't quite justify the price. First, the restaurant is beautiful. The décor is modern, stylish, and very Instagram-worthy. It's easily one of the nicest-looking brunch spots I've visited in Utah. Unfortunately, the dining room feels overcrowded. The tables are placed extremely close together, making it difficult to have a private conversation. We often had to raise our voices just to hear each other, and even the servers seemed to struggle moving between tables. The atmosphere looked great, but it didn't feel very comfortable. The service was polite and friendly, but one thing bothered me. Shortly after we finished our main dishes, the check was brought to the table. We hadn't asked for it, and it made us feel a bit rushed, as if it was time to leave even though we were still talking with our friends. It's a small detail, but it affects the overall dining experience. For drinks, I ordered a piña colada, and unfortunately it was disappointing. It tasted overly diluted, with very little pineapple flavor, while the rum stood out much more than it should have. I also ordered the Vital Boost juice. The flavor was actually good, but it was served at room temperature, which wasn't what I expected from a fresh juice. For my meal, I ordered the breakfast burrito. It tasted good, but I couldn't justify the $20 price tag. It consisted of a thin tortilla filled with eggs, bacon, cheese, and potatoes, served with shredded potatoes and a small side salad. While everything was cooked properly, the ingredients felt simple, and the portion didn't match the price. I've had larger and more satisfying meals elsewhere for the same cost. My girlfriend ordered the birria tacos. They were decent but nothing memorable. We've had better birria at other restaurants. The consommé was much spicier than expected, and while some people may enjoy that, it wasn't our preference. The tortillas were also average. On the positive side, the lemonade was refreshing. I should also mention that Mexican food isn't usually my favorite cuisine, so I know my preferences may differ from those of other diners. Still, I always evaluate a restaurant based on the balance between quality, value, flavor, and the overall experience. In this case, I felt the food was good but not exceptional enough to justify the prices. La Condesa is definitely worth visiting if you're looking for a beautiful brunch spot with a trendy atmosphere. However, between the cramped seating, the value for the money, a few disappointing dishes, and feeling rushed at the end of the meal, the overall experience fell short of my expectations. I don't regret trying it, but it isn't a place I'd personally choose to revisit anytime soon.
