Not the freshest Mexican food in the world but it is pretty darn good! First of all, you can't go wrong with a basket of complimentary chips and salsa. That is KEY to an authentic Mexican restaurant! We got the Mexican chicken pizza and the cheese and chicken enchiladas. The Mexican pizza was pretty good, but just like the cheese and chicken enchiladas, the chicken was overcooked. I feel like that is common in restaurants like these unfortunately. I just wished they gave that chicken a little more love and flavor (with a little less heat!). It is quite bland and dry. One of the worst Mexican restaurants I've ever been to... and my family agrees. My husband and I couldn't even finish 1 plate between the 2 of us, and our rice was hard as H-E double hockey sticks. DO NOT go to this restaurant!! Their food is fair but their service is reprehensible!! I live nearby and have ordered from them several times and all but once they got my order wrong. The last time the manager was kind enough to give me a free meal for my next visit which was a while ago. Tonight I decided to give them another try and once again they got the order wrong!! Tonight I looked in the bag to verify the order was correct. To my misfortune I could not tell that they gave me a cheese enchilada as opposed to the shredded beef enchilada I ordered I also ordered a shredded beef taco And got ground beef.....When I tried to call and talk to them about this I was told there was no manager on duty, it was past 8pm so they were technically closed and the young lady I was speaking to told me she was to busy to help me and hung up on me!! There's definitely better Mexican food out there and I am sure you would not be treated so disrespectfully. I will NEVER go to this restaurant again. I would rather drive 20 miles than have fair food that isn't even what I ordered. read more

My first visit to Su Casa was amazing. The chips and salsa was the perfect started. There salsa was a really robust flavor and hit ask the right taste buds. I ordered the Chimichanga, and it was everything I'd hoped it would be. The staff was super nice and extremely helpful. My server was fluent in English and Spanish, so when I messed up while trying to order in rusty Spanish he helped me with English prompts. The orchata was good too. Very similar to La Frontera in my opinion, good enough food to keep me going back, but my favorite is the salsa. So good.

This place is ready good! Seemed authentic. Our waitress was great! Enchilada & tostadas were really good! Salsa isn't too spicy, which I enjoyed. It seriously pains me to have to write this review. I don't know what I'm more upset about? That a favorite beloved family restaurant has completely gone downhill , or that the service today was awful. Probably both. Su Casa you used to be consistently delicious, and your salsa was to die for. I don't know what happened? Did the ownership change again? The quality of food is terrible. Your plates are 50yrs old. They're disgusting to eat off, it's time for new dish-ware at the very least. Your salsa used to taste homemade and taste like actual salsa. Now it tastes like you added some marinara sauce in there, and dumped a bottle of salt in it. I used to come every week, now I come once a year just to see if it's how it used to be, and it pains me to say it isn't. I realize the pandemic changed a lot of restaurants for the worse, but your food and salsa didn't really change until this last year or two. My family and I enjoyed your restaurant for 40+ years and it breaks my heart that we have to remember you the way you used to be. It was almost comforting how nothing really changed except for the aesthetics & upgrades which were much needed. But the food didn't need to change. I came at lunch, it was not packed. There were plenty of servers. Mine seemingly kept forgetting about me, took what too long to take my order, then messed up my order, and forgot to bring me my check until 15 minutes after I had to request it again. I'm sorry to say I hope a completely different business swoops in and takes over this location. The skimpy fish was seasoned with a beef sauce and the tacos were hard to eat. There was too much large chunk lettuce on the tacos, as well. The rice was not fully cooked (so it was hard). What a time to be restaurant. Everything is turned upside down andt the things that used to feel important are secondary to the things that used to be add-ons. Delivery and takeout are king, and dine-in is a big question mark. The good news is that they appear to have had a facelift recently, and I actually really dig the vibe. When dine-in returns, this is a nice spot. I dunno when the mural appeared, but the north wall has a rad, vibrant mural that I really like. I haven't examined it closely, but it's very bright and colorful and reminds me this restaurant is here. I hadn't ever been in before, so I'm not sure what it used to be. But the faded wood strips, the corrugated metal, the hanging light strands--they put some though into the aesthetic. It's cool, simple, and fresh. The thing is, though, is that these days it's more about how you handle takeout and delivery. We phoned in an order, though they do offer online ordering, and were told 10 minutes. I arrived after about 15 thinking it may be ready and getting cold, but when I gave them my name they disappeared for about 10 minutes. I'm not sure what was happening, but there didn't seem to be a great system in place. The restaurant was full, and had a few large tables with 7-9 folks on them. Restaurants are in a tough position trying to enforce masks with their patrons, and unfortunately not all who walked in the front doors were wearing one. Obviously those seated were not. I eventually got my food, and the order was correct. Everything was fine, I don't think they're known for their authentic regional Mexican cuisine, or their artisan salsa, but if you want Mexican food, they make Mexican food. I'm rooting for businesses like this. I like what they have going on and it loses something when you don't want to dine in, especially when they've clearly invested in that experience. But it is an option in Midvale/Murray when you want Mexican. read more

We were not sure what to expect but I'm glad we gave them a chance! There was one server but she did a great job taking care of us all at the restaurant. The ambiance is sorta "hipster" with lawn lights strung across the roof. The food was different but still delicious. The salsa isn't chunky but it was still good and the chips were nice and crispy! We ordered a small skillet of queso dip but it's not your typical white mexican cheese dip. It was white cheese topped with a sort of pico and corn. Sounds strange but it was SO good! I ordered the new sopes (chicken) and it was deliciously topped with some lettuce, tomatoes, crumbly cheese, corn, onion and cilantro. Came with a side of rice and beans. Rice was red with salsa and the beans were topped with cheese. Highly recommend! My husband got a chicken quesadilla and it came with a side of rice, beans, lettuce and tomato salad, guac and sour cream. There was a little side of black olives which we thought was strange but it was still good. All delicious! Anyways-- I think you should check it out. I had prepared for the worst by reading the other Yelp reviews ahead of time. I'd probably give 3.5 stars if that were an option. The service was good. Our server was attentive, refilled water, brought chips, and checked on us several times (but wasn't overbearing). I will agree with the others as to the salsa at this place--like thick ketchup. No thanks. The chips were decent, especially when warm. My fajitas were decent, not amazing. I figured the fajitas would be a safe choice, because how do you mess those up? There was a sweet taste to the chicken; I'm not sure as to the seasoning that caused the sweet taste. It wasn't bad, just unexpected. I could've used more onions, but all the ingredients on my fajita platter (chicken, peppers, etc.) and the veggie sides (lettuce, tomato, guac, etc.) were fresh and decent quality. I'm not sure I'd pick it for my next Mexican food craving (read: Lone Star Taqueria, or Don Pollo which I haven't tried yet), but it certainly wasn't the disaster everyone made it out to be. read more

Delicious Mexican food! We haven't been able to dine in over the past several months, so we were excited to find out Su Casa was open! With all the concerns regarding COVID 19 precautions, the restaurant was very clean and seating was spaced efficiently. The members of the staff were all equipped in face masks as well as gloves, so it felt like a safe environment. As always, the food was delicious and was delivered to our table very quickly. I was told about this place from a friend. I thought it would be so good because she's from San Diego and knows what good Mexican food is. I should have known the second I walked in the food was not going to be good. You can usually judge a restaurant by the people-if it's "authentic " you will see it pack full of people who happen to be the same ethnicity. Another hint is the type of cheese. If it's straight up yellow cheese then it's going to be bad. We ordered the half size nachos, figured you can't go bad with such a simple dish. Boy was I wrong. The chicken was so dried and unflavored. The beans were so bland and tasted funny I had to spit it out into a paper towel. I could not take another bite. If you are in the mood for a strong smelly canned tuna that is topped with runny and milky room temperature slightly off white cream. All on a bed of limp cabbage all contained in a drenched tortilla wet diaper style, this is the place! The rice with a strong crunch of day old, for me the canned black beans stoled the show. But, if I wanted canned beans I would have stayed home. I ordered "Fish Taco's" and was saddened to discover "Taco ala Tuna". I love this place. The staff is very friendly. The food is great. It has the feel of a Ma and Pop restaurant. The fact that the same servers have remained there for years is another indication of their stability. The food is served in under ten minutes, not 30 or 40 minutes like other Mexican restaurants I visit in Draper and Riverton. read more

We were quickly seated. The dinning area was clean and the staff very welcoming. We both decided to order the Dinner Special- it comes with your choice of burrito and a cheese enchilada. We went with the homemade Chile Verde. This meal is my favorite and I've been ordering it for years. It's YUMMY!
