Tried for the first time this weekend and it lived up to the hype. As expected for the weekend, it was packed. The wait wasn't bad at all, only about 20 minutes for our group. We ended up killing time across the street at Best Buy, which made it go by even faster. Once we got seated, everything moved pretty smoothly. The menu has a ton of options, which made it a tough choice. I ended up going with the chorizo breakfast burrito and it didn't disappoint. Even with so many things I want to try next time, that burrito might be hard to pass up again. Solid first visit and I'll definitely be back. read more

We loved being able to get in line on Yelp app without being at the restaurant. That saved our wait time! Remember to check in at the host stand once you arrive. Staple American breakfast items! Simple and perfectly executed. Thick cut crispy/chewy bacon, over easy eggs, hash browns, scrambled eggs, pancakes. The **Banana Foster French Toast** was the standout! 12/10. Subtly sweet with a delicious banana sauce. Do not be adventurous and get the Greek Omelette. There is a quarter pound of feta cheese in there and it is so overwhelming lol. The omelette is super fluffy, which was not actually a good thing, it had a weird cake texture with crisp edges which I did not enjoy. Made fun of my sister for ordering that omelette during our entire breakfast haha. Our server was casual and sweet and gave us a coffee refill togo! We happened to be in Sandy this morning and discovered this restaurant in Sandy. We had been to the location in Lehi many times, and enjoyed it immensely, so we assumed that the Sandy restaurant would be equivalent to Lehi's. I really want to give the restaurant a good review but I just can't today. Don't get me wrong, the food was fantastic as usual, but the service, not even passable for poor. We waited an inordinate amount of time for the meals to begin with. Then as the meals were delivered, my wife requested ketchup. The waitress told us she would be right back with it. I am sorry to say that the food was cold by the time the ketchup arrived. The soda nor the water were refilled at all. The cups that were used are small to begin with. We didn't see our server after the ketchup delivery until we flagged her down for our check. The ambiance was great, as expected. I hate to leave a bad review because we love the food. The Original Pancake House is an extremely popular place. If you're visiting on a weekend, plan on waiting quite a while. Their omelette tastes really good and is a really big portion size. I love breakfast. It's my favorite meal of the day. This place is the real deal. Pancakes are so light and fluffy with just a hint of tang that goes oh so well with their syrup. There are loads of ways you can order pancakes here (plus waffles and French toast) but we opted for the classic this visit. Egg dishes are plentiful too. Any way you could want an egg, they can do it. Our choices today were the classic eggs Benedict and a western omelette. Both were fantastic and came with a side of hash browns. Yummy! Our server was so nice and helpful with the menu. It was our first visit here so we had questions. She was attentive but left us alone enough to enjoy our meal. The restaurant was busy on our visit but we were able to get seated fast. Yes - we used the Yelp waitlist option There is an outdoor patio and ample seating inside. I want to love this place more than I do. The food comes out different depending on the franchise. Sometimes it's great, sometimes it is mid. We have never had a problem with the service, and the restaurants are cute! If you go, take the time to order the Dutch Baby, as it is what they are most known for, but note that it is a lengthy experience given the typical wait time and extra time it takes to cook the Dutch baby. read more

Apparently they've changed their menu and ruined it. I've gotten the roadhouse skillet for years and got it today and it was less than half the size, covered in nasty gravy, and they charged an extra $2 to include the onions and bell pepper it has always had. So more expensive, smaller, less good. Cool. There are a lot of good options for brunch now around Utah, so a poor decision on their part I feel like. My grandma, my mom, and I decided to get breakfast here after we got our haircuts. It's my first time here and I gotta say that interior looks amazing with a combination of modern and farmhouse. The pancakes and waffle were delicious, as well as the eggs Benedict and omelette. The bacon was okay but the sunny side up eggs weren't that good cause they were cold and a bit undercooked. Our waiter was really nice as he was fast with our food and drinks, and I don't know what he put in that hot chocolate but it was delicious and rich. Recommend coming here for breakfast but I suggest ordering the eggs over easy and maybe get the sausage instead. read more

A local favorite, rhetorical original pancake house always has a 30 minute wait for any weekend morning at any of their locations. It's absolutely imperative that you join the Yelp waitlist before arriving, to save yourself an extra 20 minutes. I general have simple taste and order an omelette when I'm here and debate between pancakes and hashbrowns as my side. But almost everything on the menu is decent, and you can't really go wrong with any choice. The waitstaff is friendly and orders come out surprisingly quick. I also love that the menu indicates that some items take up to 30 minutes to prepare, so you can set a realistic expectation for your wait while making your selection. The interior design is more of a modern diner, and is always clean, and comfortable. I pull consider this a decent option for medium sized groups, but the wait can get long for large groups that would like to sit together. read more

Ordered the nutella and strawberry/banana crepes. They were $10.99 but then they added additional charges $3.00 for Nutella, $1.00 for strawberries, $1.00 for bananas, and $1.50 for whipped cream. Why was that not included in the stated price. On top of all of that they were not good. They also served other members at the table several minutes before me so I had to sit and watch everyone else eat before I got my subpar food. This is one of my favorite spots for breakfast. I love pancakes and they have so many different kinds and flavors. My favorite is the banana pancakes and the pumpkin pancakes! I highly recommend. They are also closed in the evening. Only open in the mornings until the afternoon. read more

Had a really solid breakfast here early on a Saturday morning! Our server was super nice and efficient. The menu covers a lot of ground for breakfast - pancakes, waffles, French toast, egg combos, etc. I tried a chocolate chip waffle combo with bacon and scrambled eggs. Everything was delicious and I wasn't able to finish the waffle.. good portions. I also tried out the coffee which was good. Took my grandson (9 years old) for a holiday breakfast. He is a huge pancake fan! He ordered the buttermilk pancakes with toppings of whip cream and berries along with a cranberry juice along with bacon. I had the classic pancake breakfast. My grandson timed (he got a new cool watch for Christmas) our waiter (Forrest) and gave him an A+ for timing and service!! And, he ate his entire breakfast in about 15 minutes. Lackluster service, mediocre food, and hour long wait for order to arrive. On a Wednesday morning at 10:45 we sat to eat. We were early for the lunch crowd and had arrived later than the typical breakfast crowd. A full fifteen minutes later after taking a seat we were greeted in passing. Our order wasn't taken for another twenty minutes then it took yet another forty for it to be prepared and delivered to the table (11:50). Over an hour to get our food. No apologies or insight. The food was simple--biscuits and gravy and crepes--so it should have been out quickly. Swedish crepes lingonberry sauce came as a purée with no berries. Decent but didn't blow me away. The waitress was detached and didn't seem to care about the wait or food accuracy (incorrect food order brought to neighboring table). Her nails were too long to carry platters and I saw her separately drop a fork, banana slices, and napkins on the floor because the balance couldn't be maintained. I ended up picking up two of the three because they just laid there until I did. Our drinks were not refilled (water and coffee). I'm unimpressed and won't be back. As a positive, fruit bowl was yummy and had large berries. That's worth a star. read more

We decided to wait the 30 minutes for the Dutch Baby . It was worth the wait ! My husband loved it . It was amazing . It was like a German pancake . It was fluffy & moist . It was huge ! It comes with powdered sugar on top . We also ordered the Belgium waffle with berries . The waitress told us this comes with all types of berries . Strawberries, raspberries, blue berries & blackberries. I was super excited I love all berries . When we got the waffle it had bananas on it & mostly strawberries. It had 4 blueberries , 3 raspberries & 3 blackberries. I was disappointed there weren't more of the other berries & not a fan of bananas .It had a huge scoop of whip cream . It was delicious . I got the coconut syrup instead of the strawberry syrup . We ordered the motherloaded hash browns these were so good . They had onions, peppers & cheese . The service was really good .
