Cute spot off Fort Union. There is a private parking lot for the restaurant. Service was incredibly quick. And right as we were seated, we had water, chips and salsa for the table. I really enjoyed the salsas they gave the table. Entree was good enough. I ordered one of the lunch specials and enjoyed the smothered enchilada, but the sides seemed cold.

Fajita trio

I loved the fajita trio here. The portion was huge, the dish looked a little messy because it had everything . Shrimp tasted the best, chicken and beef were kinda dry. Beans and rice tasted great, guac was decent. I put these on tortilla and every bite was great. It was a little salty for me so I could only share so much with my young baby.

Jennifer our server. She was absolutely incredible. I've never seen so many servers moving so fast and so furiously to make sure that all the customers didn't have a long wait for their food to arrive or get the experience that they came for. It can be a little noisy. There's a lot of kids there. They're having fun, but that's what the whole place is all about is having fun while you eat and hanging out with your family and friends. Thank you, Jennifer, for being such a awesome waitress. I was amazed how quickly and with that big smile and honest service I was impressed. My whole family was with me and we were celebrating my birthday and everyone was happy that this was the destination.

This little place is tucked away next to a day care center. You'd almost not notice it, but what??? Palm trees and giant salamander?!? The ambience has a Mexican beach resort feel with murals of popular cities featured on the walls. Seating is quick except for the most busy times- weekend evenings. The restaurant is filled with regulars who the wait staff greets as friends! The menu has several pages filled with popular Mexican food. Unlike some boutique restaurants, you'll find what you're looking for, and enjoy both old and new favorites. The portions are hearty! If you're hungry, dig in! If not, consider sharing an entree. Although I haven't done it yet, the wait staff ensures me that there's no fee to share a plate. The food comes out from the kitchen very hot! If you're hungry, be patient or you won't be tasing your dinner beyond the first bite! One of the things my wife and I have come to appreciate here is the consistency of the food. Post-COVID, many restaurants have struggled to maintain the quality of their food. But here, nearly all of the employees, both in the kitchen and serving, have been at the restaurant for over a decade! So, is the food good? Yes!! Generous helpings of sauce, cheese, rice and beans, and the center of the plate never fails to impress. However, understand that like food here there are different styles of Mexican food- this is not a gourmet restaurant, it's Mexican home cooking! The salsas and vegetables are fresh and freshly prepared. The sauces are spiced and simmered well. The meats are lean and cooked to tender perfection. My wife claims they have the most tender chicken she's had in a Mexican restaurant. I can certainly state that their seafood enchiladas and shredded beef burrito are juicy and tender and very tasty! Some things to know- trust the wait staff to point you to the top dishes, they've been around a while and know what they're talking about. They know what's popular! Also, if you're not a fan of a lot of sauce or cheese, tell the staff, and the kitchen will accommodate you. They are generous in their applications of both! As someone who grew up in Southern California, this is definitely one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the area. Sheesh, they know me after just a few visits!! You know I'll be back for more!

If you're looking for some wholesome classic Mexican food this is an awesome place to go. It's pretty close to our house so we go fairly often. The servers and staff are always so kind and spunky. They're great at taking care of us. We love it. The decor is fun and kinda all over the place which works great for the space. It's fun and reminds me of places I used to eat out with my family when I was growing up. I've loved everything I've ordered. My husband got the fajitas last night and the little yummm noises we humans make when we're eating something delicious followed him all the way through his meal he approved.

La cocina is awesome! Festive decor, and the free non-alcoholic margaritas were great. If you like Mexican food, this is a must try! Nachos were pretty good. Tonya the waiter is the G.O.A.T! (Greatest of all time)

Combination Plate

I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. It's easily my new #1 favorite Mexican restaurant. Their chips and salsa is an amazing starter. Both their red and green salsas are seriously addictive. I highly recommend the combination plate because you get a little bit of everything. I loved everything on the combination plate. It really hit the spot. Aside from the absolutely spectacular food, the vibes were great! The inside of the restaurant has very fun and colorful decor. It's also very spacious and clean. Everyone there seemed to be enjoying themselves. The service was also excellent. I can't say enough good things about this place, you have to come and try it for yourself!!

Food is good, small portions for a high price. You have to wait on yourself, which I thought was odd for a restaurant that asks for a tip.

Absolutely delicious!…read more I got a BOGO free burrito coupon from their FB feed, so why not? So glad I did! I had the spicy green chili burrito--delicious! Smothered inside and out with their very fine green chili. The tortillas seem homemade, it was fresh and good. My wife had the carne asada burrito. I got a bite of it and the beef is delicious! Such good flavors. I also had the pinto beans and rice, both are very good. The horchata, made with almond milk, was creamy and just the right amount of cinnamon and sweet. They serve flour and corn tortilla chips with three salsas. The chips were excellent. The flour chips are deep fried, really good. The red salsa was the hottest but not bad for heat. The green was good. Now the crema sauce was my favorite, it is really excellent. Nice restaurant, comfortable chairs, nice decor that goes along with their theme. Looks like a comfortable bar. Service was friendly and accommodating. I would like to eat here again and take advantage of the FB coupon for their tacos. Highly recommended! 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

Service was great! I'm so glad we finally made it back! Really want to come more frequently!! Also heard they have good breakfast tacos in the morning! Will try those next!

The service was excellent and everything came out much more quickly than I would have expected for a large group. I had the chile relleno and it was the best I've ever had. Food came out within minutes of ordering and all at once. Entrees on top of appetizers. Beer selection. Just the big name brands. Fine. But weirdly the rim of my beer glass was coated with a powder that tasted like ground up Doritos. Yuck. Food. Generic burritos and tacos were acceptable. The queso: Within minutes it cooled into a blob of chewy cheese. The chicken with mole: Chicken was dry and tasteless; the mole was thin and watery, and lacked any hint of chocolate. Did we dine here on an off night? Perhaps since it's a really popular place. Hard to say. All I can say is, it's not for us.

I was pleasantly surprised by the decor inside, they have spent a great deal for this location. I ordered chips and salsa to start. These were not complimentary but when they arrived the salsa was fresh and unique. I was glad I ordered them. My wife chose the carne asada burrito. She raved about the flavor and could only finish half. I ordered a unique taco which had an authentic name this gringo cannot remember but it was built on a house made corn tortilla about twenty inches long and ten inches wide. Steak, Mexican cream, tomatillo sauce, freshly shredded lettuce and cheese. I've never had anything like it but it is awesome. The service was quick and efficient. Very delightful people. The environment is bright, inviting and not too noisy. We booked a table but some of our party was late. Portions large enough that leftovers were inevitable. Quedadillas. Chile Colorado, Mole Chicken Enchiladas, and Burritos Dorados, which have Chile Colorado inside.
