Unfortunately, I had a less than satisfactory experience with this company. At first there were no issues, made a phone call and exchanged some information and the result would be to expect a truck to stop-by for a quick field-estimate. After that the truck was spotted as expected. Then no communication for 26 days. I tried calling and the guy doing the estimate was out of the office so the other employee wouldn't help me, but only take a message. I reached out via email and came back in to contact with my guy. It appeared my persistence continued the transaction. Over the next week we had about 3 styling questions that equated to 6 emails. By that time I decided that I would prefer to meet in person than play email tag. The estimate guy said he had everything and he would contact me. As a follow up, they finally completed the job. Still not sure if it was truly required or not. My level of trust in them is essentially zero after the whole experience. To make matters even worse was the price. They said it would be about $250, the invoice came in at $423. I would never use them again, would suggest everyone else consider doing the same. These guys cane to work and replace our old broken (gate) motors. seemingly, they did a good job. however, a couple weeks later, the right gate closes on my fathers mercedes. we call inform them of the problem... they did nothing about it. now just today (about an hour ago, the right gate shuts on my brand new tacoma and scratches and dents my truck. When i call them they start giving me excuses about sensors, loops, eyes... and still have not compensated me for anything or even fixed the gate. if nothing is done about this and i am not compensated for all the damage, all I have to say is... HORRIBLE COMPANY. STAY AWAY. however i will wait to see if they respond and do compensate; I will post an update if they end up compensating but as of now... they are a trash company in my eyes (giving me excuses about how the eye has no problem because of my truck etc... what if a child got hit by the gate?!) read more

Los Gatos Iron Works gave me awesome automatic driveway gate. I had a particular design in mind, so he made me a custom design to my specs. We installed it a year ago, and it has been working flawlessly. I had a problem last week where the gate stopped opening, so Andrew send his guys out at within a day, and fixed the problem of misaligned sensors. What an amazing group of people!!! They are lifesavers and just the nicest people you ever want to work with. A elderly relatives driveway gate sheered off the bottom hinge of the gate and we could barely lift it to open and close it. Heath and (sorry I don't remember the other gentleman's name) his worker came out and replaced both hinges for me. They did excellent work and it looks like new. I called Los Gatos Iron Works, after months of having issues with our call box and the original installer refused to come out. They came out that day and found the problem and even drove back to the shop to get the right part and came back within hour to install. Aaron, the installer, was very knowledgable and made several adjustments to get the right angle for the best wifi signal to the call box. They even adjusted the camera several times to the right height to be able to see to who is at our gate. Everyone was very polite and the price for service was very fair. I moved into a new house and needed a very large custom steel/wood gate installed in our RV parking area for privacy, security, etc. I had never worked w/ Iron Works but took a gamble as they were local and ready to start.
