This is a beautiful cemetery and the grounds are gorgeous. If you have to be buried, this is a good place to go to your final resting place. Luckily bf's mom had her plot picked out and paid for already so we are here for the service and Cindi is doing a great job helping us through it. read more

I don't really write many reviews, however, I think this place really needs to be more aware of their upkeep. My dad was buried here a little over a year ago and this is the second or third them I've come to see his plot only to find it covered in a pile of dirt and gravel from nearby burials. One time I even came to see that the stone had tire marks on it. I just find this extremely disappointing and I think the staff should either be more consistent with upkeep or just literally be more mindful of where they leave piles of dirt... I'd love to come see my dads plot for once without having to call the office to have someone clean it up and wait a few days for it to actually happen. I will say though the staff is always really nice and supportive. I really love this cemetery and think it's really beautiful. read more

Not long ago, they did a major remodel outside and the new fountain area looks absolutely beautiful. This cemetery is very well maintained and in a great location. As if dealing with the loss of a loved one isn't painful enough. My family and I unfortunately had to deal with the equivalent of a used car salesman with no "bedside manner" whatsoever who made the whole ordeal unbelievably and unnecessarily worse. I truly do not want any grieving individual to experience what our family did at Los Gatos Memorial Park. Hence, this review: I and members of my family had the unenviable task last year of searching for an eternal resting place for our beloved family member. This was the first time any of us had to deal with such a responsibility, and we set about handling it with the utmost love, care and respect for our Dearly Departed. In doing so, we searched for a cemetary that we felt was of the highest calibur in all respects -- a place where we felt our Loved One would be treated with dignity. The first place we sought out was Los Gatos Memorial Park. What a mistake. From the unkempt grounds, to the overly aggressive "sales pitch," to the exorbitant burial costs with which we were presented, my family and I ran away from that place as fast and as furious as we possibly could! It really pains me to have to write how horrible our experience was at Los Gatos Memorial Park. Here we are, grieving, and everywhere we turned, we felt overwhelmed by the "dollars and cents" atmosphere, this "used car salesman" telling us over and over again that we wouldn't have had to deal with any of the costs had our Loved One only "pre-planned" her final arrangements (like the other "90% of people do"), and that because our Dearly Departed didn't "plan ahead," space is/would be extremely limited. We all felt like we had been fleeced just meeting with this guy, who was obviously just trying to fill the cemetary up with one more body in order for him to get his commission from us. Luckily, my family and I found that that there are other, much better and affordable options for our Loved One's eternal care. As such, we wound up NOT returning to Los Gatos Memorial Park, and I hope that this review is insightful for others and that no one else goes to Los Gatos Memorial Park either -- whether they be a grieving family member or a prospective permanent resident of the place. read more

I never thought that I would ever write a review about a cemetery but I like this cemetery a lot. Sometimes driving across different cemeteries just give me that creepish vibe because its rows and rows of headstones. Los Gatos cemetery on the other hand, is huge, spacious, and they take very good care of it. The grass is always green and I've been there at all times of day. It feels really peaceful and respectful here. I like that vibe better. It's always nice to see other people visit their loved ones cause it shows that they're forever in their hearts too. I love the trees, the shades, and the view of the mountain that I get to look at when I visit my mom. I've usually gone to LGMP 1-2x every year to visit my grandfather whom I've never met. I've been coming here a few times a month since May after my mom passed away. May was the most difficult month for me this year because of all the things that occurred but LGMP (Mike), the Chapel of Flowers, and my cousins really helped a lot. Upon the 2nd visitation of reserving the spot, Mike chatted with us in a conference room then showed us the location. Upon the day of the burial, Mike personally drove me back to the office so I can us the restroom even though it wasn't that far of a walk. Just make sure that he gives you the right quote and discount because he tried to pretend that he forgot about a deal he made with my cousin until my aunt called and talked to his manager about the voicemails we've let on his phone/office for proof of evidence. Losing someone that you love and care about the most is never easy... but I hope you find comfort in knowing that it's a peaceful place and well taken care of. And if you feel like you think nobody understands the pain, hurt, and grief that you feel, then you're wrong... because I do. Feel free to reach out to me if you ever need to talk. Having to burry a loved one is never easy. This lovely memorial park is absolutely beautiful and truly brings light into what could feel like a dark place. The staff is warm and welcoming and the coordinator (blanking on name ) was so kind to allow me to take professional pictures there for a "death to my 20s theme" birthday with only the request not having the names be shown on the tombs in respect for family members. Today my family got together at the Los Gatos Memorial Park cemetery to honor our mother, who passed away in 2004. When we entered the Mausoleum, our jaws dropped as all the flowers, all the colors, all pictures and irreplaceable keepsakes were stripped away from everybody's tomb. The Mausoleum looked so cold and sad, like there was no one that cared for the loved deceased ones. I felt like crying! I rushed to the office to find out what was going on and I was handed a flier which explained that they had a major clean up on September 6th and they claim they posted a notice at the entrance for 3 months notifying everyone. Are you kidding me? I told the receptionist that when I go to the cemetery, I go for one purpose only, and that is to visit my loved ones, not to read their obscure signs posted at the entrance. I told them that as a courtesy they should have sent a notice to the family warning them; after all that's why they have our addresses and emails! I was told, "We threw everything away, nothing was saved". Sure, stab me in my heart again and again! I thought of all the families that live so far away and they can't visit as often. They don't know that their carefully arranged flowers are no longer there and that the tombs are bare. WARNING: Next clean up is January 10th. I am still in shock and so is my entire family. Have you ever been robbed or disrespected in your own home? That's how it feels. Disrespecting dead people, throwing their stuff away without any thought, how low can you go? I WOULD THINK TWICE BEFORE PURCHASING A BURIAL PLOT AT THIS LOCATION and assuming that management is responsible enough to keep you informed, other than notifying you that new plots are available. read more

My dad is here, as well as my paternal grandparents and one of my aunts. So, I've been coming here since I was very young. It's always green and breezy here. The plants on the grounds are well taken care of, and my family and I often sit and stay for a while to talk when we visit my dad. The workers sometimes drive over the headstones with their carts, leaving black tire stains that don't scrub off easily. Once or twice, I've seen headstones that had tire marks and were broken in half. Often, the headstones sink or get lopsided in the earth. You need to really get on the office staff to get those things fixed. read more

Website claims they're open from dawn to dusk. And on Google they say they open at 6:30. It's now 6:50 AM and the gates are locked. I have a guest here from out of town that wanted to visit my parents and now that's not possible. Not only do they take all your money, they don't do what they advertise. Today I had visited my mother who left us over 16 years ago. She's buried in the newer mausoleum. I immediately noticed that her flowers were missing that had been placed there so long ago by me and my siblings upon her passing. They were artificial flowers that we placed there because we were advised to do so for my grand parents who are located in the older mausoleum. I woundered if someone could have stole them. Perhaps they were accidentally knocked out when someone else was layed to rest and they didn't know where to put them? I was disapointed but determined that when I came back that I would replace them after consulting my siblings to see what they wanted. Next I went to my grand parents. The older mausoleum was almost completely void of all the old momentos and flowers that were long left by loved one who may be past themselves or even moved far away where they think that their loved ones are still adorned by the decorative flowers and memories that they left behind. My grandparents have been dead since the 60s. the flowers were left by my late mother for her parents over 20 years ago. I checked with staff and was told it was all thrown away like old trash due to spider webs and bird nest. I should know due to the large sign left out to alert me to this event. I wonder how after 20 years they've come to this conclusion and thought that now it was so important. I can only imagine that it must have been some new executive or authority who was eager to impress the brass with a grand idea that would show how fresh and sleek he could make the place. It must have been someone who laid aside their very basic humanity in order to move up. The families that have left those things left it with the intention that those items would remain with their families for enternity in order for the resting place to look loved and cared for. You cant possibly tell me that you can't just hit those things with a feather duster twice a year if you're willing to go around and just rip them out and trash them all every quarter. You obviosly have the resources to do the right thing. Some of the items did look old and worn out. It gave the place some identity and charm. They were not yours to throw away. This place is absolutly sick in the way it has violated the trust of it's patrons. Disturbing a resting place is a extraordinary low. This place is just a disgusting corporate entity now. It cares nothing about careing for the dead. They just want your money. If it was practical or legal i'd move my whole family out of there. read more

I don't even want to give it one star because it doesn't deserve it. I buried my mom there and my mom stuff still gets stolen so if you love your love ones who don't want things to get stolen I wouldn't buried them. It breaks our heart when things get stolen. And my mom passed away 2001 and we keep getting stuff stolen they kept saying it was nothing they could do. But for the last 16 years A lot of stuff has been stolen. They told us it was one of their workers that were stealing stuff off the gravesites. But I keeps happening more and more so now I cannot put anything on the grave for my loving motherand it breaks my heart. read more

I contacted Los Gatos Memorial Park to arrange for selling a burial plot that my parents bought before they moved to Southern California. I was put in touch with Tony McGown. He was extremely helpful, gave me all the details for a transfer of the property and then arranged for payment and promptly sent a cashiers check. Tony was on top of the transaction at every step, texted me as to what was the status of the transaction even though it was his day off. In every way he was a professional. Two thumbs way up for Tony McGown. I recommend him very highly for any services at Los Gatos Memorial Park. read more

Their new policies indicates that they are not responsible for damages to monuments vases caused by them or their maintenance crew!!! And unless you pay to buy their expensive flower metal can they will throw away any silk flowers that you leave for your loved one!!! Their slogan is "the difference is service" but it seems to be more like the difference is profitability. read more

I was so impressed by the level of service I received. My infant brother was buried here years ago and I had not had a chance to visit in a number of years, and did not know where the location of the headstone. I arrived at the cemetary office and explained my needs (I was on my way to the airport to catch a flight and was in somewhat of a hurry). A staff member very graciously took me in an electric cart to the section of the cemetary for infants and helped me locate the headstone. It was evident that the office was very busy as this is a large (and well kept!) cemetary with much activity. Nevertheless, the staff was very willing to help with a kind and patient smile. Slipshod work. They assured me several times that they would provide a drawing to scale of the grave marker for my approval. Several times they reiterated that they would not commence work on the granite until I approved a full-size drawing. My husband was with me, and he, too, heard those repeated assurances. We went back and forth a few times, and then they asked me to approve a scaled down drawing before they incurred the expense of the full-size drawing. The next thing I knew, they called to say the grave marker was completed and installed. I was horrified when I saw it. I would never have approved it had I seen a full-size drawing. I wrote a letter expressing my tremendous disappointment with the final result, and I never received any response whatsoever. Not even a form letter. To show how sloppy they are, they were supposed to move the flower receptacle that was in front of my father's grave marker to a spot between his marker and my mother's new marker, which was right next to his marker. By being in between the 2 markers, the flowers would link mom and dad together and create a symbolic connection. Instead, the flower receptacle is now almost in front of my mother's marker, making it look like her flowers only. read more

Came here earlier in the week to pay my respect to a veteran who's buried here and man was i surprised on the negligence of the caretakers here at the cemetery. First there is so much goose poop, it's breathtaking how our veterans fought for our freedom and can't even get some cleanliness from the staff at this park. It reeks bad and flies are all over the place. Plus i noticed tire marks on some of the headstones prob from the lawnmower which looks like it hasn't been used in a while cuz the grass is a bit wild - real classy Los Gatos Mem Park! read more
