To me this are best tamales I ever had and trust me I am not too crazy about them it wow very nice and moist with the right amount of meat not too spicy hot The only issue I had that I wanted tamales for Christmas went to the restaurant to buy a dozen but to my dismay half Of them were raw thank God I know he t cook them so I had to grab a steamer and cook them which was hard since I did not know doe how long to continue to cook them At the restaurant I had pozole it was very good it killed the craving sis not had to make it at home this will be my next Mexican restaurant of my choice The ambiance was very clean small and cozy is right on rt 38 at a mobile gas station The service very friendly read more

Stopped in for lunch and the food did not disappoint! The salsa is amazing! Just the right amount of spice and a hint of chipotle. I ordered the carne asada tacos (Mexican style) and refried beans. The carne asada had so much flavor and was juicy! The refried beans are clearly homemade! Service was fast and friendly. We purchased homemade caramel empanadas to take home. First time in recently. It is very nondescript looking in the corner of a strip mall in West Chicago. The people are super nice. While there is no alcohol (I could have used a Margarita), the food is why you should come here. The Queso Fundido was excellent and we had an order of tacos (Both steak and tongue) as well as a burrito with ground beef that were both very good. I used to really love this place but in the last year the quality of the food has gone down significantly. We ordered steak and chorizo tacos. The steak was chewy and gross. The chorizo was NOT chorizo. At best maybe ground pork. It was horrible and my boyfriend and I both felt sick afterwards and couldn't even finish our food. They served it with roughly chopped onions, no cilantro. The little salsas they gave us were all frozen so we couldn't really use them. Disappointed to see the quality drop so much. read more

We visited this restaurant because we were in the area. We were so impressed by the tortas (amazing) and how clean the restaurant was. So many locals came through to grab lunch while we were there, so it must be consistently great food to have earned such loyal customers. The prices are great too - $6.50 per person. A guy named Rooster told me to check out the Steak Cemita , I call myself a huge Mexican food lover . Rarely eat anything other than Tacos . So , my first bite into this bun sandwich was fabulous. Ton of flavors exploded in my mouth . The bread was so fresh , along with avocado and everything ! It's a small joint with a small menu that does a good job. I've been here quite often , this is my "Go Too" restaurant. Good fresh food and close to home . Going to try the Birria (Goat) soup on Sunday. You should too . Wonderful small place. The women who prepare the food are very nice. Try the cemitas. They are very good. They are the very reason to visit. I really enjoyed this small Mexican restaurant. The menu was very simple, free chips and salsa exceeded my expectations, and the restaurant had good meal deals. If you want a quick bite this is a great place to go and they have a couple meals I wouldn't normally see at a Mexican restaurant, but the food tasted great. Found this spot when my boyfriend and I were driving around the area and craving Mexican food. And I have to say, I'm glad we stopped by! I think I'm pretty picky when it comes to Mexican food because my stepmom is Mexican and therefore I've had bomb ass homemade food. BUT I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered tacos de lengua and my boyfriend ordered the steak pambazo. The tacos were just on point and my boyfriend devoured the pambazo. They give you chips and salsa but if you want more, you have to pay for it. I was quite disappointed with the horchata. It was overly sweet and so I didn't finish it. Overall, we both liked it. We just happened upon this place by accident, but are so glad we did - have been back three times since, in the past month. Very decent prices - great tacos and something I'd never heard of called "Pambazo", which is a super delicious sandwich - highly recommend trying that. Only negative was I don't quite like the taste of their Horchata, but that is easy to overlook/just order a different drink. read more

I've had the torta here many times and it's really good. There is a bit of a language barrier here though. I order the Steak Torta, and sometimes they give me options to as what kind, but unfortunately I have no idea what they're talking about. I just want a plain ole steak torta. One time I ended up with some thin breaded steak, which did not please me. If you speak english try and talk slow for them or you'll either get the wrong order, or have to repeat your self a few times. Also consistency. Some times the torta has beans, sometimes it doesn't. Personally I generally like mine with beans, but since the first one I got here didn't have any, I prefer mine without out them from here. So, they have a couple things to work on, but since the torta is so kick ass, I can only knock 1 star off. read more

Jamaica water was good as well but chilaquiles were just bland and oily did not like at all which was really disappointing.
