Recently came back to this gem to get some Donofrio Paneton and chocolate bars to make hot chocolate for the holidays. They took all the Peruvian wall art off!!! Nooooo!!!The new Renovation looks great and more spacious, but I def loved the old feel this place had, I had some tamales con pancito with my mom and kids for a quick bite and boy, was it delicious!! Their tamales are sooooo good. Definitely the best Peruvian style Tamale I've had in the states. I feel like I'm in Lima when I am here. I love that feeling. The Peruvian accents and all of the Peruvian goodies they sell. Inca Kola, Kola Inglesa, Donofrio products, Casino and picaras, choclo frizado! They even have frozen cuy! I also discovered they have chocotejas Helena!!!! This place is an awesome little gem! I love it! If you'r missing Peru, take a ride here with an open mind! I love in NY and it's always worth the trek!

This place is the best for authentic mom pops Peruvian cuisine. It's definitely a dive... the seating area isn't the cleanest which Is the only reason I give this place 4 stars because food wise, it is delicious! Love their pan con jamon, pan con chicharon (my favorite), pan con pollo and their lomo al jugo served with bread. Yummm

Love their tamales Saturday morning for breakfast. With their bread. And for winter times add a hot coco next to it.

They…read morehave live entertainment, which adds a fun vibe--just know it can get a little loud if you're trying to have long conversations. Still, the music is great and really sets the mood. The food was solid Peruvian, very close to authentic with a bit of fusion flair. Everything was well executed, and the service was on point. The servers were constantly checking in, which I appreciated. We ordered a variety of dishes: * Lomo Saltado - Stir-fried sirloin with onions and tomatoes, served over fries and white rice. * Lomo Saltado Montado - Same dish, plus a fried egg on top. * Causa de Camarón - Mashed potatoes layered with shrimp. * Tallarín Verde con Bistec - Al dente spaghetti in a spinach-basil sauce, similar to pesto but with a distinct Peruvian twist. We also tried the Chilcanera Sampler, a flight of three large drinks: Maracuyá (passion fruit), Coco, and Frambuesa (raspberry). All delicious. And of course, we had to try their signature Bulldog D'Carbon, a margarita-style drink with lime, Patrón, vodka, and Grand Marnier. I'd definitely come back to this location--just with the expectation that it can get lively. The entertainment is fantastic, and the food and drinks make it worth the visit.

The food is always amazing, the portions are very generous, and the service has consistently been great every time I visit. The combination of Chinese and Peruvian flavors is comforting, flavorful, and absolutely hits the spot. Come hungry you will not leave disappointed! The location itself is small and cozy, which honestly adds to its charm. My only issue is parking, which can be a little challenging, but aside from that, I have nothing but great things to say. One of my favorite food spots and a true hidden gem. If you haven't experienced Chifa cuisine before, this is a great place to start! Jeffrey Umaña @jeffrey.umana

From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, attentive, and welcoming. The food was absolutely amazing, just as we've come to expect, but enjoying it fresh in the restaurant made it even better. Sometimes life gets so busy that you forget to slow down. Sitting down together, sharing an incredible Peruvian meal, and simply enjoying each other's company was exactly what we needed. It turned an ordinary meal into a wonderful date. If you're looking for authentic, flavorful Peruvian food with excellent service, I highly recommend this place. We'll definitely be back, whether it's for takeout or another relaxing meal in the restaurant.
