BEST MEXICAN FOOD i've ever had in my life . im from california and this tops it . the food came out extremely fas . customer service was helpful and helped me pick out an entree . i ordered a beef plate . it had a variety of vegetables . beans . rice . meat and tortillas with cheese. THE MEAT WAS SO TENDER the flavors were so fresh and extremely good if i could rate a 10/10 i would . if your gonna spend money on mexican food GO HERE!!!!!

Cozy and cheerful small restaurant serving some surprisingly good food in generous portions at reasonable prices. A sign by the counter says Veracruz, reflecting their signature style of cooking. We had a steak and shrimp fajitas combo, which was sizzling fresh with high quality proteins. However the truly exceptional dish was the Mojarra Empapelada, a whole small tilapia fish lightly fried then grilled in foil like parchment, served on top of a mole-like slightly spicy salsa. It's a Veracruzano specialty, a very interesting presentation and genuinely delicious. This unexpectedly high level of cooking cost only $25.

The food was so bomb. Like I was hella full after eating this on an empty stomach. And the service was really good too! The girls working there are very kind and friendly. The vibe of the place was like homey and cultured. Loved it.

We came here before going out dancing! I was in the mood for Mexican food and saw the birria tacos on their Yelp and had to go. The inside is small and quaint and they also sell Mexican candy and jewelry. It's like a little shop by the cash register. The chips and salsa were good but they do not refill you chips. The salsa was pretty spicy but I liked the flavor and it was more on the picante side. I ordered the birria tacos and a side of rice. The place was super authentic but the rice was definitely a disappointment. It reminded me more of a fried Asian rice and did not have the seasoning Mexican flavor. The birria tacos however were phenomenal. The tortillas were thick and crumbly and the meat was so tender and shredded. The consome was also super delicious and it added the flavor I needed to the white rice. I would absolutely be back and am excited to try to carne asada tacos next time!

San Antonio says the birria tacos where fantastic

Coming from San Antonio, TX the birria tacos where spot on. The chicken tamal was fantastic and full of flavor. The sauce was a bit spicy for me but they put it on the side so it was perfect. Service was great. Enjoyed sitting outside in the patio area.

Excellent authentic Mexican food at a great price! Tostado was great too! Everyone liked their food! A margarita would make this a 5 star!

Absolutely love!! Server was sweet and nice. She was quick and friendly. The patio was very endearing. It has nice privacy and cute lights hanging. The food was quick and hot. The burrito was delicious and had a good portion. The birria tacos were tasty but not as filling. Still delicious though. Overall great experience and food! Would recommend! Also free chips and salsa!! Yum!

Authentic Mexican food, however you'll have to get your margaritas elsewhere because this place does not serve alcohol. The table chips and salsa were good, with two additional sauces to choose from if you want more heat. The traditional rice and beans were just ok, with the rice being a little dry and the beans being whole instead of refried. The salad that came with my meal didn't have any type of dressing, so that too was dry. I'm a big fan of Mexican food, but was a bit underwhelmed. I would have liked a little more flavor overall.

The most delicious Mexican food in Bozeman. The staff is so friendly. It a hidden secret in town that is well worth searching for.

Does Los Jarochos have margaritas and queso at their new location?

We Do not have a liquor license yet! But hoping for one in the future. We have our own homemade Chipo-Mayo salsa we have for our chips. We unfortunately do not have queso dip.

I should've known better? Bozeman has never been great for Mexican (unless you're at a taco…read moretruck!), and Merry Piglets didn't change that. If you want bland, gringo dishes however, this is your spot!! (...Looking at my father). Unfortunately, I would choose Los Jarochos next time for similar outcome. (Note that they don't have alcohol though). Pretty standard menu, mixing the same meats, veggies and beans in various tortilla combos: burrito, fajita, enchilada, quesadilla. Couple other plated dishes. I got the carne enchilada based on my servers suggestion about how great the flavor of the carne was. (Spoiler: I didn't feel taste that, and it makes me a bit worried about what the other meats would've been like...) Pluses: modelo negra, margaritas and overall ambiance. Minuses: food was very bland (even sauces), expensive with no 'bang.' Three stars for service, booze and ambiance, otherwise would've been two, sadly. I would probably choose La Jarocohos next time, unless I was sticking just to happy hour.

I wanted to follow up on my previous review as the owner was very kind in remedying the salad…read moreissue. I have been to this restaurant multiple times, and usually, the experience is wonderful. This may have been a one-off experience. I will definitely be back! I just had the saddest $27 salad. I feel completely disappointed. The salad had very little greens (maybe a handful of chopped iceberg lettuce). The salad was mostly cheese. The $8 carne asada addition was burnt. With my $5 tip it was a $27 asada as I left the salad.
