I may be a littttttttle bit of an annoying Mexican food snob, but this place was very average for me. The people were very generous to let us run in 30 minutes before closing to grab a quick margarita and food to go. The place was very big inside with lots of seating and colorful walls everywhere. We just sat at the bar since we intended to be in and out. Margarita was a good size. For food we ordered ToGo a chicken quesadilla and a vegetarian burrito. The quesadilla was thick, they definitely didn't skip out on the chicken, and it was topped with sour cream and guacamole which was nice. I was told it was decent, but nothing to write home about. Vegetarian burrito also was just whatever. It was interesting that most the burritos guts were just topped on top of the tortilla and was just beans and rice inside. We had shredded beef enchiladas. What bothers me is a dinner for two was $75 at a basic restaurant. The reason the tab was so high for a basic meal, is that a Skinny Margarita is $16 Each. I'm visiting from Texas and am well traveled. I don't recall paying that much for a drink EVER, unless it was a fine restaurant, with fine dining, with aged liquor where I expected the tab to be high as designated. My guest, who lives here, had seen the ticket and grabbed it wondering why our tab was so high. She pointed out the cost of two drinks and was shocked. Im writing this just to give people a heads up. I have eaten here before with no problem. We just left this place and I was extremely disappointed. The bus gal who cleared the table next to us left food on the floor after supposedly cleaned the table. She wiped the excess food onto the floor where it remained. She then threw the new silverware onto the table and walked away. The food on the floor was disgusting. I would not have wanted to be the next patron who would be sitting there. We were staying in a hotel next door and wanted to go to a restaurant that was walking distance. The service was pretty good and the food was also good. The margs were not the best but we added a shot of tequila to ours which helped a little. The restaurant was fun and your classic Mexican restaurant. I don't live in Bozeman, but go there for work. I've eaten at this restaurant 4 times and the same thing has happened 4 times. They are super stingy with soda and salsa refills. I've actually failed to succeed with getting either and that is with being very blunt and direct and asking and they just ignore the requests. They never offer either. I asked this time as I left and the lady apologized but I don't buy it. Makes me want to avoid the place. Also the homeless people surrounding the restaurant is a huge problem. read more

The beef was not inviting or tasty. It was dry and it appeared as if it were pureed... wouldn't recommend that choice. Bit I would recommend their blended margarita. That was yummy! We had the fried icecream with honey as the topping for dessert. It could just be me because of traveling all day. What pushed me over the edge to stop eating was when I saw him emptying garbage containers (multiple times during our hour there) and not seeing him away long enough to wash his hands. He could have-I don't know the layout of the place so there could have been a sink. Either way, it was unappetizing to see. Next time maybe empty the garbage away from customers' line of sight. Horrible. I've eaten there several times and never expect anything but mediocre but this was far worse. First, the assistant waitress brought salsa/chips/water and did not say one word to us, no eye contact, no hello or welcome and was wearing headphones. We gave her the benefit of the doubt, perhaps she didn't speak English? But no, she spoke fluent English to the next table. Our party of three ordered one soft drink and two skinny margaritas and we were never offered refills on soft drinks, water, or margaritas, all drink glasses were empty half way through our meal. We were never offered more chips or salsa either. My fajitas came out raw, a giant pile of onions and green peppers with a tiny bit of tough cooked chicken. I sent them back and asked them to cook them more and said normally they come out charred, sizzling and steaming. They brought them out more cooked, but still no steam or char, still undercooked veggies, chewy tough chicken and absolutely no flavor or aroma. The waiter was polite but never asked how our food was, didn't offer more drinks, dessert, to go box, or anything except finally the check. My daughter's tacos were super greasy and my other daughter's food was very bland but she ate it. Our check was $100 and I normally tip 20%+ for mediocre food/service but this time I left $10 tip.
