I would start off with the service. It was very, very slow. The waiters need training ASAP. Took a while before someone took our orders. When we finished, it took another good while to get our check, so we went to the register. My husband expressed to the gentleman how bad the service was. He was defensive saying "it wasn't me". His response should have been, I'm sorry the service was poor. I will forward your concerns with the manager. The food was not typical Mexican. The salsa could have used more garlic, onions and cilantro. Cilantro gives it freshness. The pork was good but, I would have brined the pork overnight in brown sugar, Kosher salt, pepper, and garlic. Roast it at a very low temp for 8-12 hours. The interior is clean and should be kept that way. There are many Mexican restaurants in Lancaster, so competition is strong. As a new restaurant, you must have something different to set you apart from the competition. Work on the salsa to uplift it and make it better than any other restaurant. Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday since the only other choices open in New Lex were fast food, we had a chimichanga and a quesadilla, and asked for some hot sauce to go with the chips. I guess everyone else in town was having fast food, because we were the only customers in the restaurant. We've eaten here a few times over the past few years, and were kind of amazed that their prices have TRIPLED since the last time we ate there. Food was pretty good, waiter was nice and friendly, but got blown away when we got the check and saw that they charged $4.99 for that very small hot sauce we had! Might have to go to Taco Bell for Mex next time, or zoom over to Zanesville, and get some food for a reasonable price that won't give you heartburn. read more

I have been here a few times since they opened and I really need to frequent this place more often. I have tried different dishes and have never been disappointed. The Texas quesadilla is huge, and has shrimp, chicken and steak inside it, wonderful. This day, I went in for a quick lunch and it was hot, fresh and affordable. I had the Los Mariachis Burritos with chicken. This cost me $6.75 for what is pictured. To think McDonald's would have been about the same price is crazy. I would much rather enjoy a heathier, hot meal like this for the same price. I will continue to try different plates. The service is very friendly. read more

Went in to have a family dinner night out, this place was recommended by a friend. We won't be going back to say the least. We got in and were seated pretty quickly, but it took about 15 minutes from the time we ordered them to us getting our drinks. Then it took another hour before we got our food [we put in the order when the server brought us our drinks]. Once we got our food, everything was burnt to the point of the taste being ruined and nothing was hot [it was barely warm at best]. We definitely will not be going back, we will stick to our regular Mexican restaurant in Zanesville. read more

Very attentive service. The free salsa is lacking flavor. So don't fill up on chips and salsa. Ordered the Especial Dinner which has 5 entrees--chili relleno, taco, tamale, chalupa, burrito. All were very flavorful. My favorite was the chili relleno. Very large portion. Enough for 2 hungry people. My dinner companion had carnitas and it was fresh tasting--so delicious. We ordered two Burrito Los Mariachis to go. The refried beans were runny and the salsa was runny and tasteless.

Very good Mexican! It's nice to see this small town getting a variety of food! The staff is wonderful and the restaurant is always clean.

Our family went in to get a meal and it was not a good experience. The waitress acted like she did not want to be bothered to answer menu item questions. Then, when my granddaughter got her plate it was not the way it was ordered and there was a BLACK HAIR on her food on the plate. None of us have black hair so it was not ours! Then, they reluctantly took it back to re-do her order and we had all completed our meals and asked where hers was a couple of times. They had forgotten to place the order. Then, to add insult to injury, they stood in the other room and laughed about it. I will never, ever darken their doorstep again! Maybe they need to learn that to run a restaurant is to offer a service and to treat their customers with respect to have them back! read more

Loving the Margaritas and Tacos! Can't get enough! Definitely get an order of queso or guac for your chips, as the salsa can be inconsistent and lack flavor. Good prices on beer, and the seafood nachos are seriously delicious....and enough to feed a crowd. read more
