El Barco was a excellent dinner place for the family. I ordered the Arroz Texcano, it was very good and so were the drinks. Although, they were super busy, the waiter Carlos was great and patient with our group. I love the ambiance that fits the name of the restaurant and aesthetic outside were nautical fitting of the name.

Berry Piña aka Pineapple Mojito

First time to El Barco! We loved our food!! I had the Burrito Chori-Pollo with the rice and beans on the side rather than in the burrito. It was oh so delicioso! My friend had the Enchiladas Rancheras. She loved them. Drinks sure were beautiful except they were a disappointment. I had the Berry Piña (aka Pineapple Mojito) and my friend had a flight of Margarita's. My drink had no flavor, I tasted the pineapple - no flavor at all. El Barco did not let the pineapple ripen. I have never ever had a problem ripening pineapple on my counter. Usually, it takes about a week. Once you start to smell the pineapple, it is ready to eat. All of the margarita's just didn't taste good. I don't know if someone new was mixing our drinks or not. I have only heard rave reviews on the drinks. So needless to say we were rather disappointed with the cocktails. Other than that - I am hooked on the Burrito Chori-Pollo! The refried beans were delicious too!

I am a big fan of the Mexican suishi menu. The food is fear and the staff is very friendly. The margaritas and mojitos are top shelf.

The space itself gives you a family bar feeling. Looks like it would be a great locals spot. They had enough tables for any size groups and it was very clean. For appetizers we had the fried pickles and pork rinds. I'd give the fried pickles a 2/5, they had flavor but lacked crunch. The breading was missing on 80% of the pickle. The pork rinds, FRIEND, those were probably the highlight of my meal. The sizzle and pop, the crunch, flavor...I'm drooling just thinking about them again. I don't think I can ever have them from a bag again. 5/5 Main Coarse we ordered the mac-n-skilled with pulled pork, the kids chicken taco with tots, brisket stuff shells, and brisket Philly cheesesteak with a side of hush puppies. Mac-n-skillet, the meat was a tad bit dry but had a good amount of cheese. Creamy. Only downside was the pork. 3.5/5. The Brisket Philly was cheesy, meat was good, great flavor just a bit too greasy. Hush puppies were good, nothing stood out in particular. 4/5. The kids chicken taco and tots were ok. Not enough cheese and the tortilla was hard, tots were just right. 3.5/5. The brisket stuffed shells were unique, loved the flavor just a bit too much cheese to meat ratio for me personally. The brisket was cooked perfectly. Would order again. 5/5 We were in and out in less than an hour. We were never rushed and the atmosphere was warm. The prices are reasonable as well.

I've eaten crab cakes all over including several famous MD crab cakes and I work at a fresh seafood market where we make our own crab cakes. So when I say I know my crab cakes.... I know my crab cakes. Talk of the mountain: this is a super cute and friendly small restaurant located on Main Street. It is very local friendly and the kind of place the staff/owners would know your name and your regular order. I LOVE that. The staff are warm and inviting. You can watch them breading your food and chat with them as you eat. I loved watching. We got the crab cake with fried oysters and shrimp plate with Mac n cheese and fries and hush puppies and another fried shrimp plate with their slaw. It was pretty pricey but we expected that when buying quality seafood. The fried shrimp were absolutely incredible as were the fried oysters (minus the pearl my son found in the one he ate... but again not too much of a surprise). The taste was great, the cook time was perfect, they were delicious! The fries were seasoned and tasty as were the hush puppies (nothing to scream about but definitely good!) the slaw was good (according to my son... I'm not a slaw person). The Mac n cheese was definitely different but not exactly mind blowing. I felt indifferent I didn't love it and feel like I needed it tomorrow, but it wasn't bad. I honestly didn't have an opinion either way on it but I did eat it. The crab cake. The good: this was literally packed with crab meat. Obviously we seek out places that Jam Pack their crab cakes with actual pieces of quality lump crab. Talk of the Mountain certainly does this.... In my opinion to the extreme. When they say zero fillers, they MEAN IT. So does zero fillers make a good crab cake? In my opinion not this way. It was not my cup of tea and I love crab and crab cakes (obviously). It seemed like their formula for the binder was a mustard based concoction and then it was solid crab. The flavor left a lot to be desired and it didn't feel like eating crab cake because there was no filler at all. Making crab cakes is such a delicate balance, a true art in my opinion and while TOTM most definitely is serious about ensuring you taste the crab in their "cakes" the end result was more of a pile of lump crab with a sauce. All that being said I would absolutely eat there again. They were fabulous and I truly applaud their style. This is just my personal perspective from the one visit. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area! Rating: my knee jerk is to give this a 4 because I really am not a fan of the Crabcake and would not order it again, however everything else and the people were 10 stars so I feel like a 5 star rating is deserved. If they ever modified their recipe I would try it again happily AND will def eat there again. The shrimp and oyster was phenomenal.

It came with a hot marinara sauce. It was delicious. My mother ordered broiled flounder with baked potatoes and salad. I ordered make my own 3 items which included fried Soft shell crab, fired scallops and crab cake with sides of baked potatoes and onion rings. All dishes came with hush puppies. My sister had fried oysters. They said the broiled flounder had no taste. I liked all my dishes though the crab cake was saltier for me than I normally like. They give you all sorts of sauce and special butter for the baked sweet potatoes. The waitress was really nice and came back and refilled my soda a lot. It's an old restaurant and the ambience is lots of people come here for seafood. Considering it's not close to any sea, it's pretty good. I forgot to take photos to share. When we left around 6:30 the parking lot was full and people were waiting for tables.

We had the fish tacos, lobster tails, the build your own 3 item meal ( crab legs, steamed shrimp and crab cake) this combo was amazing. The crab meat unlike any other I've had before.
