Amazing amazing amazing food here. My husband and I were downtown to eat elsewhere, however, when that place was actually closed, we had to pivot quickly. We decided to eat at this restaurant that we parked nearby . I am so glad we did because we had such a fantastic experience. It was around 8:00 PM, and there is only a couple of people already dining. Upon being set, our server filled us in on the background of the restaurant. Apparently the restaurant is owned by a winery nearby. That being said, we decided to share the tasting flight since I'm not big on wine. The wines were all pretty light, and as I figured, not for me. We ordered the smoked carrots appetizer, and after a few minutes, also added the focaccia bread of the day. I can't remember the exact name of the bread, but it had jalapeños and peppers and cheese in it..lots of flavors, Big and fluffy and pretty good. The carrots also had the smokiness to them that they advertise and were soft yet still had that crunch you like. We were big fans of them. For the entrées, we got the swordfish, which was me doing something different, and the steak Frites. The swordfish came just as I expected, very unique and flavorful. BAAABIIEEE THAT STEAK THOUGH!!! it was amazing, so scrumptious and flavorful! The best I've ever had! We were talking about it all weekend, and even tried to go back on Monday with family, only to find that they were closed :'( Staff was very accommodating and friendly while we were there. We got two desserts, the basque cheesecake, which was good ..however, I was really sad that I couldn't get the caramel one in the example menu that they showed me at the front. (it was a different menu on the tables, but still pretty similar.) the cheesecake they actually had was a strawberry one, which was still yummy. The ice cream of the day was really surprising and blew me away. When they said vanilla bean ice cream with pepita seeds and olive oil, I was instantly turned off. I felt vanilla bean ice cream was boring, didn't understand the need for seeds and ice cream, and was skeptical about why Oil would be on ice cream lol. However my husband ordered it. And let me tell you I finished that ice cream lol, it just worked, and I learned a lesson. This place has picturesque presentation, great portions, unique takes on quality foods, and clearly a very talented chef. I'm definitely coming back to try more of the menu! read more

My husband and I are huge fans of the original Los Milics in Sonoita, so we really wanted to go in and check out the new downtown Tucson location. It's situated in an ideal spot on the corner of Congress and Scott. I appreciate the historic details that were kept, making this spot feel both refreshed and preserved. The service was outstanding, we were seated immediately for lunch and explored the extensive menu. They offer delicious brunch, charcuterie, sandwich options, a variety of their wines, tastings, beers, NA's, salads, and absolutely decadent desserts. We went in for lunch with a group of five friends and we ordered a variety of beers, a flight of their wines, and single glasses of wine. Our group decided on various sandwiches, my husband loved his rich, perfectly prepared Anthony Bourdain sandwich, my peach salad was delightful, and the fries hit the spot. I added a summer panna cotta to share with the table and it was delicious. We are really looking forward to heading back in based on the excellent experience! read more

Worse phone customer service ever! A Reservation request was attempted over several weeks ago and was told to call back 1 week before the event date. This was done to only be told that each party guest needed to go online and pre-order their food ?? I was then informed that a deposit needed to be made per guest. None of this information was provided the first time. I wasn't able to get the online system to work for the deposit so I called back a 3rd time to make a payment over the phone. Karla answered this time and was completely rude stating "I don't make the rules" after another piece of information was told----that there is an extra charge for bringing in an outside cake!!! No empathy when questioned why all of this information wasn't provided the first time. We will gladly take our business elsewhere. read more

Finally made it and had the Fried Halloumi with pomegranate and mint yogurt bet good, the focaccia and olive oil, and and panna cotta so yummy. We also did the flight of their amazing wines. We preferred the wines but they all were very good. The staff were amazing and very knowledgeable. We will definitely be back. read more

Such a cute and cool space in downtown! We were visiting from out of town and looking for some place to hangout and stay cool in the 100+ temps. Found this cute place to enjoy some wine tasting and decided to give it a try. The service was great and we learned all about the Az wine scene while enjoying some wine. They also have a full kitchen which comes in handy when you just need some fries! We did the wine tasting, enjoyed some fries and walked out with a few bottles to enjoy at home! read more

I enjoyed trying the masa mushroom sandwich. It has blue corn maseca battered oyster mushroom, pickled onion powder, cashew aioli, red cabbage and salsa macha pickles. To make it vegan I ordered it with their house focaccia instead of the bun that it is usually served with (I believe their default bun has dairy). The sandwich was good and interesting. It comes with fries, I liked the texture of the fries and the large-grained salt on them. In terms of flavor, they were not my favorite fries but decent. The flavor almost made me wonder if they were made from fresh potatoes or frozen ones. The sandwich was creative and clearly not an afterthought. I tried some of my friend's pickled vegetable small plate and it was good too. I liked that they had interesting variety like pickled fennel and parsnip. I thought $8 for that plate of pickled veggies was really pricey. Prices here for the food are high in my opinion. My friend got the wine flight and I tried a little of each of the 5 wines. They were all blends. I liked the Sandra's Rosé the most. They had two kinds of focaccia pizzas available today, a pesto one and a tomato one. My friend got the pesto one and it looked good. The service here was very good which made it a very pleasant experience. My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! Great service. We were greeted right away and they accommodated us with seating. We ordered the brisket burger and the masa mushrooms sandwich. We said we were splitting the food and they cut each in half and placed them on separate plates and split the fries and salad too. So nice. We were checked on frequently. If you can't make it to the beautiful location in Elgin, this is definitely the next best thing. A friend and I went in for a tasting and light lunch on a sunny day, and it was such a great decision. We had two whites, a fruity rose, and two reds to conclude. My friend liked the wines enough that she said she would bring some home with her if she was checking a bag. I am fortunate to be able to have easier access. We enjoyed the wine with an exceptional charcuterie board. They even offered my friend gluten free bread since it normally comes with focaccia. She said it was so good and thick - not your typical GF bread. One of the highlights of the board for me was a sundried tomato tapenade. I could use some of that right now! The service was really kind and friendly, too. This was across the board a great experience. read more

These are by far the best Arizona wines I've ever had. We even bought a couple of bottles to take home with us. The charcuterie board had an impressive and interesting mix of meats, cheeses, pickled veggies, & more. There are a few locations in Arizona and Tucson's Los Millics is a nice addition to downtown. There are some nice options for small plates and wine pairings or fulls meals. I was very happy to have solid vegan options and will be going back for the Masa Mushroom Sandwich. The deep-fried oyster mushrooms would have been delicious on their own but the cashew aioli and cabbage gave it extra flavor and texture. They take online reservations if you want to be sure about getting a quick table, but I didn't see anyone standing around and there was a full house. The staff were friendly and helped my wife pick out the best dishes to go with her wine flight. read more

We came for lunch the day after Valentine's Day - 4 of us girls, and enjoyed a delicious bottle of wine, and a great lunch! Service was top notch! The focaccia was crispy and soft and my mushroom masa burger was delicious! You can find something different here, who would have thought to put blue corn together with mushrooms! Great!! The basque cheesecake had pistachio on the the bottom, loved this combo!! We all loved the Jules wine, light and crisp for lunch on a warm Tucson day! I love all of their wines! I'd been really excited to try this new spot downtown since I'd heard it opened - a way to try Los Milics much closer to my house. The wine did live up to the hype, the reds especially were delicious and it was fun to try a couple in a nice space. The service was what took me by surprise and left a lasting impression. The host was pretty unkind & borderline condescending when we came in without a reservation. The winery was pretty empty the evening we went in, which is what led us to stop in - they reacted like we were off base asking for a walk in table and talked to us almost as though we were being reprimanded for walking in. We ended up staying but in hindsight, with how unwelcoming the host was, I wish we hadn't - it made me uncomfortable the whole visit. Our server helped make up for it with their prompt service, kindness and helpful wine descriptions but first impressions are impactful and I wouldn't return based on that. read more

Los Milics Tasting room in Downtown Tucson is really nice. Wine was good and the food was also good. Jordyn was our waitress and she was wonderful. Extremely personable, lovely, and never missed a beat. We ordered the rodeo burger with French fries and it was fantastic. Matt the chef sent over some onion rings and they were fabulous. Matt very personable and a fantastic chef. Ethan cooked our burger and it was perfect! I will definately return to Los Milics, bring friends, and recommend to everyone I meet. read more

Went on a Saturday, service was odd and uneven (of particular note was the host making a deal about waiving the "$20/person deposit" reservation fee for adding our names to the list as walk-ins). When asked if we had questions on the menu and asking about the fish of the day, our server sprung on us the fish and the chicken were out for the day (at 7:30). Settled on the burger, which was just ok in my opinion...very good quality beef that gets absolutely drowned out by everything that comes on it (this is definitely a situation where less will be more!). We were sat in the back area, and with the close quarters of those tables we felt our server's back was a very prominent guest at our table. I might give them another go once they get things more dialed in. read more
