get the steak and Cornish hen plate. Trust. Fresh salsa made in front of you. Delish! Mild was still spicy for me so beware if you are a light weight like me. My taste buds are too Americanized ha.

We were in Rosarito for a short getaway. We were fortunate to have found a beach house for the stay. Our good friend hooked us up with an amazing place! We tried Los Pelicanos for dinner. If you're the romantic type, this may be your place: good ambience, soft lighting, great service, and excellent location right in the beach. Ask for the front seating on the second floor to watch the sunset. Parking was secured and patrolled. (We were warned to not walk down the side road to the restaurant; so drive there or catch a cab.). The food was not spectacular and nothing to write home about. They brought us warm tortilla chips and salsa. The margaritas, on the hand, were AMAZINGLY delicious and refreshing. We would come back for the drinks for sure. Overall, good romantic place with decent food, great drinks and excellent service.

We have been coming to this place for 30 years and never disappoints. We always like sitting on the deck overlooking the beach. There service is impeccable. They start by bring you complimentary chips and salsa and if you go breakfast they add a homemade sweet potato jam with home baked bread.....simply amazing, My favorite dish for breakfast is eggs and nopales (cactus)..amazing. the breakfast also includes a home made potato pattie. I always get the bacon, very tasty. They offer quail eggs and venison from the owners farm. Most of the employees have been there for many years, all very nice and attentive. Lastly I need to mention that they are very fairly priced for the the quality of food they serve.

A lovely oasis where you can coincidentally have a delicious breakfast. This restaurant/hotel has a gorgeous view to the ocean. It sits on top of a deck like foundation. The beauty starts from the entrance to the decor to the service and the brunch of course . The staff at Los Pelicanos really make you feel right at home which who does not love that? What makes their food so unique is a few things... 1. Bread and sweet potatoe jam ( To die for) 2. Red chilaquiles sauce 3. Hash brown! I recommend this place for anyone in the area looking for a view and a unique Mexican brunch! Papas tostadas

Happy birthday Feliz CumpleAños !!!

This place was something special! We went for the first time this week. We had a large party of 7 people and had no reservations but got seated right away. We were served drinks right away. We had quail appetizers that were very unique. The queso fundido was yummy. The guacamole and sala was impeccable. I ordered a fajita platter. The tortillas were amazing . Highly recommended!

Lovely restaurant with an incredible view. Breakfast on the north wing is a bit loud so I suggest holding out for a table by the water. Or waiting for late lunch. I've eaten here quite a few times and there was only one time where the food wasn't fabulous. It was still good but wasn't what we usually experience here. With the exception of busy brunch time on the weekends, the service is always excellent as well. The staff are very polite and professional, friendly and efficient. This is a beautiful place to have dinner at Sunset, with a view of the ocean. They also have quite a few ideal spots for photos around the restaurant. I highly recommend coming before sunset and snapping some photos before walking through the beautiful entryway and having a great dinner with a view.

Molé made table side. So so good.

Fantastic views and service. Our server both times was Luis and he's awesome. The table side Molé is delicious. We had salmon, tilapia, and marlin tacos. The marlin tacos are so good I was shocked. I didn't expect them to be prepared in such a way. I was expecting a basic fresh non seasoned fish in a taco but they do a special marinade or sauce that makes these tacos delicious. The salmon was great. I didn't have the tilapia but my wife says it was fantastic. We were able to have the table against the edge of the room with a straight view to the beach. That set a great ambiance and made the experience even better.

Food is delicious and treat you as a queen! I highly recommend this restaurant! The view is amazing!

Chilaquiles with Ribeye and eggs.

The coffee with canela was delicious! The chile de molcajete was also super delicious. I had to ask for more, 3 times. The tortillas de arina hechas a mano were also the best! The were soft and yummy!! The pan frances was also good. I will definitely come back!!!!

Do you get allergic from some cocktails? Los Pelicanos' margaritas didn't make me sick at all! Fresh ingredients, not too sweet https://www

We chose Los Pelicanos to line and prime our stomachs to avoid a bad hangover. After all, we came to Rosarito to check out the party scene and the nightlife it's most famous for! Los Pelicanos had everything I wanted - sizzling oven-grilled meats, the sunset, and staff that speaks English. I couldn't be happier. From restrooms to patio so clean and pretty, photo does no justice.

It was my birthday dinner and I loved it! The Place is beautiful Between rustic and modern. Wow the view to the beach is amazing. Service was great not adding the special treat if it's a special occasion. If you request birthday attention, ;you'll enjoy it. We were 3 guest 2 loved the food 1 said it was good. Overall we all loved it. Wow, thank you

T-bone with partially eaten shrimp lol. The quacamole is so tasty.

The service was good and the food was delicious. I ordered the T-bone steak and it was so tender and cooked perfectly. Of course the view is right on the ocean so that adds to the experience.

I love the architecture which ranges from Mexican Baroque to traditional Spanish Colonial and the entire compound has cobblestone streets and cement walking paths. There are several little gardens of roses and other lovely flowers making this a great place to take walks and enjoy the scenery. The large pool/jacuzzi area has plenty of lounge chairs and shaded seating, a shuffleboard court, a gym, and a banquet room. There is also a large surfing beach with several sturdy palapas for all guests and owners to use. A visit to Las Gaviotas is certainly a treat. I love to relax, enjoy a good book followed by a leisurely walk, then swimming and a relaxing dinner when I visit.

Honestly, the experience exceeded our expectations in every way. The property is even more beautiful in person than in the photos, with a peaceful atmosphere that made it the perfect anniversary getaway. The host and co-host were incredibly kind, responsive, and accommodating. Knowing we were celebrating our anniversary and hoping for an amazing ocean view, they graciously upgraded us to the Miel Master Suite at no additional charge. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and the ocean views were absolutely breathtaking. The suite itself was immaculate, beautifully designed, and the bed was so comfortable. I honestly can't remember the last time I slept that well! We also loved the shared kitchen, which created such a welcoming atmosphere. Breakfast was a highlight each morning with the chilaquiles and lavender pancakes were absolutely delicious, and having a nespresso machine in the room was the perfect added touch. We truly can't say enough great things about Native Residence. We loved our stay so much that while we were still there, our close friends booked the exact same suite for their anniversary next month! The beds were comfortable. Not too hard. I love a firm yet not "European" firm mattress. There was a safe and a gas fireplace too. We were quite pleased with everything. We flew into San Diego then took an Uber to the border. Walked across the border, then took a taxi to the condo. We tried to get an uber but there must have been a cellphone reducer in the area. We had great service as we crossed the border but when we were at the corner with all the taxis, we couldn't get service. After haggling, we paid $30. (Uber was $20 but no biggie.) We didn't order a return pickup as suggested on the review sites since we didn't get an Uber. It wasn't necessary as there were cabs EVERYWHERE in Rosarita. And we could call for an Uber which was cheaper. We found out later that Ubers are banned in Rosarita but they are still there if you call. Either way, get a price before you get in. It is only a mile to town so we walked mostly but a taxi was only a couple dollars. They took USD as well as pesos. We didn't need to exchange much but you need small bills. No one can give you change in USD. The office exchanged some for us just so we were more comfortable, but we really didn't use much. If you did the math, you could save a few cents here and there if you use pesos vs USD at restaurants, etc. But if you use your visa, accepted in many places, make sure you tell them to use pesos (do not convert to US) otherwise you will end up paying more. Also use a card that doesn't charge you international exchange fees. There's a grocery store across the street next to the gas station that had pretty much everything we needed to eat at home for breakfasts and lunch plus beer, wine and coffee. The driveway is actually an offramp from the highway and heavily used to get onto the Free Road, so watch how and where you cross the road. Our concierge gave us a name of a taxi driver who took us to the wine route in Valle de Guadalupe. Jorge Diaz cell: 661 138 03312. He was awesome and reasonably priced. We chose the wineries but he normally chooses them if you don't have a preference. (Some wineries will not take you without reservations and some are closed on different days, so do your research and emails or call in advance if you want to choose your wineries.) I love to research, so I picked our breakfast place as well as the wineries and did the timing and directions. I just handed him a map with it marked off. That is important as you can loose GPS out there. The town is full of awesome taco places. Best Meat Taco: Tacos El Yaqui - Calle Mar del Norte, Rosarito, Mexico 50 Pesos for each Taco. Tacos Perrones come standard with beef, pinto beans, salsa), onions, cilantro and guac. But you can customized by asking to add or leave something such as peppers, radishes, etc. Long lines but AMAZING!!! Get a beer at the Mercado on the corner and meet the people you are in line with. We met a nice man the first time we went who gave us a bunch of tips about Rosarito. Best Fish tacos: El Taco Loco - Boulevard B. Juárez 97 Col. Rancho Chula Vista 22710 Rosarito We had the octopus tacos, the fish, and the spicy shrimp tacos. All amazing.!!! The salsas were hot and yummy too! Go to Mercado Del Mar to do a Tequila tasting. We learned so much about the differences between tequila styles. I had no idea. Located on the Free Road at Kilometer 29.5, look for the bicycle mounted on the highway divider. Almost directly across is the Mercado del Mar. Head into the market and then go to your left. Once inside, you'll find another large room with a massive selection of Baja California wines, different liquors, and 350(?) types of tequila. there are over 1,000 different types of liquor in the store. We took an uber there (a few kilometers south from the condo) on our way to Puerto Nuevo (Lobster Village) for cheap YUMMY lobster and delicious margaritas. That was another amazing experience. We chose El Guero from local suggestions. WOW. But first we looked at ocean view options. We ended up going to a place with delicious margaritas on the deck by ourselves... Well, there were gaviotas... We ordered a pitcher as the waiter told us it was the same price as two margaritas but my husband got an extra. It was a bit up, maybe midtown? I tried to find it but with covid... Maybe it is gone? My check in is gone as well or maybe it was the margarita... Cerveceria Tinta Negra was our go to place to try new Mexican beers. I love IPAs and many are doing an awesome job with them. We went to town via the beach (stairways use your card) and via the street. If you go via the beach know that you will have to wade through one stream of water. One day it wasn't bad, another it was pretty intense. Take off your shoes and bring a towel, lol.

After a few minutes we are like, is there anything else? yes, you have to wait for the security manager to come and give you a written warning and if it happens again you will be fined. Like what?! he stands there 10 minutes waiting for manager.. it was so uncomfortable all the guests were staring at us it was embarrassing but funny you wouldve thought we smuggled in cocaine..see pictures.. it was so weird..
