A brand new place to dine in Fernley. This place joins a list of Mexican restaurants and food trucks that inundate the town. The service we received was bright and delightful. The people were so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the menu. A huge variety of Aguachiles & ceviche. A big surprise was the amount of Sushi-style offerings. My daughter was over the moon about them. I had a Quesabirria Taco, rice and pork beans. Pretty flavorful, but kind of the same as everyone else in town serves. It is located in a strip mall between Domino's Pizza & AT&T. Parking can be a challenge, but there is a ton of parking in the Walmart lot close by.

Me and my son went her for the first time and we're super excited to try it out. The food was great, portions were super big so we had a lot left over. Each item we ordered was $19.99. The only downside was the young girl behind the register. She was not too friendly at all which made me feel like a burden to her. When working with the public it's nice to have someone who is a people person, talkative and likes their job. If it wasn't for that I would have rated this 5 stars.8

Ordered the shrimp and mango ceviche. It was delicious, fresh and just the right amount of spice! Looking forward to going again soon!

This place has great sushi at a decent price. Very recommended you give it a try. Who would've thought it would mix so well.

Food was delicious! Sushi roll was huge and worth the price. Birria was flavorful. Will definitely be coming back.

Unique menu and delicious. The rice was cooked perfectly, the sauce was tasty. Best wishes for their new business.

Good service, was served by the cashier and there was only one other customer. The dish was... Miserable. Basically a low broth Udon noodle soup on a plate and not a fried noodle entree like it should be. None of the vegetables seemed pickled, so what was that sour off-taste coming from? Original Review: I tried really hard to like this place. Three times (visits) in fact. Day 1 and 2 i had the same hostess/server. Blonde (platinum?) hair? She was doing her best on the first night which was very busy. Second day was much less so and i got quicker service. She was friendly which in this town seems to be a hit and miss. Third day i was served by a hostess with black hair. Ice cold demeanor. The most thinly veiled "friendliness" switched on only the moment she looks at/addresses you directly. I already knew they were out of some of their dishes (much to my dismay) but to also not know what was on the menu? I mentioned the Yaki Udon on the blackboard titled "New Entrees" and she looked at me with dead eyes and said, "i have no idea what you're talking about". At which point i walked out. Day 1 i had the ramen. Pork belly in place of Chashu is interesting, certainly an easier substitute but i think they would benefit doing Chashu instead. Noodles were a decent texture. I just wish the broth was way hotter temp than it was. Day 2 i had the Crispy Baby Octopus and got to try their fried rice (as a side). Both were really decent for Fallon. But i felt i needed to go one more time before making a final decision/review and well... Day 3 totally bombed. Shockingly bad service and was there even any food left to serve?

Might be our favorite spot in town, we go 1-2 times a month. The staff has been the same for years,…read morewhich is one of our favorite spots. We always go for the shared plates, it's more expensive but worth it. Some things to consider before you visit: -No reservations, first come first serve. Most nights it's a 30-45 minute wait if you don't get there right when they open. We always put our name down and walk to Chapel for a cocktail while we wait. - Like many of the reviews state, it does get pretty loud. It is part of the experience. The later the night gets, the louder the music and the dimmer the lights. Don't be the annoying person that asks them to adjust either of those things. If that's not your vibe, you should dine elsewhere. - Seating is limited, not the place to have people just trickle in/ come and go. If you are dining here, everyone should show up on time. - They do have gluten free mods, but they are not available on the weekends. - I would not recommend for vegans We have tried basically the entire menu. Our favorites are the duck fried rice, Caesar, mushroom croquettes, soba noodles, ten layers of pork, pork gyoza, shrimp fritter, Tokyo fried chicken, chicken meatballs, rice tots, and mushroom jar. Everything we've tried is outstanding, even the beef tongue! Drinks are all really good, only note I have is that the wine pours are pretty small. If you haven't been here, definitely add it to your list. Easily top 5 restaurants in all of Reno!

Parking is fairly easy, with plenty of street spaces nearby, and an easy walk if you're already hanging around the neighborhood. The service was friendly and fairly prompt, and even for a weekday night the place was bustling, leading to a bit of a backup. Cool vibes all around, and it's neat to sit at the bar and watch the chefs do their thing. Though it does mean this is a little bit on the noisy side. Look at the menu, and there are tons of tempting options. As the name suggests, their specialty here is small plate off the grill or out fo the fryer. But they do serve really good-looking ramen, too, which I will make not to try next time I swing by. I at first went with a quick bite of grilled chicken thighs, which were just amazing! They were juicy, eprfectly seared, with some grilled green onions and an amazing sweet soy sauce. I also went with the yakionigiri, which are balls of rice that are grilled, brushed with sauce, and topped with a sort of mango slaw. A bit uncommon, but wow, these were also just so delicious! Also had a glass of sake, though they have a full bar should you want some other sort of beverage. Prices here are, I feel, a little on the higher end for small plates. However, I think it is definitely worth coming and trying this place out at least once or twice, just to expereince some of the good food. I'm sorry it took me so long to finally step through the doors, but I am certain I will be back again to try more of what's on the menu.

We ordered 12 pcs sashimi (4 pcs of salmon, 4 pcs of seared tuna, 4 pcs of mackarel); Scallops Hibachi for me; salmon hibachi for my mom; NY steak hibachi for my dad; noodles and rice for Andreas; and up side down shrimp for my toddler. I love the scallops, they were cooked to perfection -- it was tender. Love the fried rice too! I ate my mom's salmon, and it was good and well seasoned. My dad's steak was not too big and not too small -- the portion was just right, and cooked so good, he said it was so satisfying. I commend the services. When Benny found out that it's my birthday, he gave me a cocktail on the house. They also sang happy birthday with icing cake. The ambiance is alright -- simple and clean. I have no complain. I will come back here next year to have a birthday party in its private rooms for tempanyaki.

The other ones we got were pretty good and my husband got a steak plate with fried rice (which has a 5$ up charge they didn't bother mentioning when they asked us). He was very happy with it. It was 55$ which I felt was pretty excessive for what he actually got, compared to 40$ for all you can eat sushi and appetizers. It was fine, I felt the sushi wasn't as fresh as other places I frequent. I felt the steak was expensive and annoyed at the upcharge. It's a nice option for people who want sushi but have plus ones who don't eat sushi. There's not a ton of places that have a big bbq menu like that. The customer service was good, but I do wish they had mentioned that it was an upcharge for the rice.
