I went back almost 5 years later for another bowl of menudo. I ordered a bowl of menudo and a cup of coffee. The menudo must have been warmed up. It was lukewarm at best and chewy. I was brought a mug of hot water and a basket full of coffee condiments that also included a jar of instant coffee. This is the same owners of a coffee shop down the street from the restaurant. Their burritos are a good portion size, but I do feel like their pricing is a bit high. I was not expecting to pay $16 for a breakfast burrito - I would be ok with them putting less meat (and more potatoes/eggs?) in the breakfast burrito if it means they could lower the price a bit. I have been meaning to try the tacos at this truck I kept seeing when we would grocery shop at Smith's on South Meadows Parkway. When we approached the truck, there wasn't a soul waiting, so we walked right up to the menu; I had already intended to try their quesabirria because I love quesabirrias. The cashier was friendly enough and the service was fast, the yotal for two quesabirrias came to $17 including tip. The quesabirrias were full of filling and had a generous serving of consommé, grilled onions and half a jalapeño; the food was tasty and very filling. If you're not sure what to order, I highly recommend the carne asada fries. It has the perfect ratio of toppings to fries. Their fries are beer battered which makes every bite extra crispy even after you've reheated any leftovers. Their agua frescas are huge and freshly made. The cucumber drink has a lot of pulp/seeds but the flavor is worth it. Their salsas are spicy and flavorful. The staff is very kind. The space for inside dining is a bit small so it can be crowded/little space to eat if you are dining in but overall the ambiance is chill and everyone is kind. My daughter graduated from the University of Nevada Reno yesterday. I gave her the option to pick any place. She wanted to have her graduation dinner and she of all places picked Mendoza food truck. Her absolute favorite! I think that in itself speaks volumes! So roughly 10 of us gathered at the food truck after graduation and ordered and went back to our house for a celebratory dinner. Everything was perfect as usual! Our absolute favorite is the Quesa Bierria tacos! The absolute best in this town! A couple of the people had burritos they were flipping huge! We have been eyeing this place on Yelp for a while now. It is located in a small strip mall. Upon entering there are a few small tables to your right and various produce and grocery items to your left. They also have various meats for sale by the pound. It looks like you can either order at the register or sit down and someone takes your order. We ordered at the register before noticing this. It looks and feels very authentic. There is a large menu on the wall with 25 various items/plates. My wife ordered the Huevos a la Mexicana #2 while I ordered the Chile Verde o Rojo, #8. Our meals came out in a timely fashion and looked really good. My wife really enjoyed hers. I did not anticipate the level of heat with mine. However, it was very good as well. I ended up drinking two diet Cokes while I was there. I will try something less spicy next time. The prices are very reasonable. Our entrees combined were 14 bucks. So in honor of Hispanic heritage I decided to go out of my comfort zone and give another carniceria a try. They also happen to own a deli which is a couple of doors down from the meat market and a coffee shop that's super tasty, down the road, which is also worth the drive to try their delicious coffee. We decided to play it safe and got 2 types of meat. Well I can honestly say the diezmillo is very tasty and reminded me to keep an open mind about giving other carnicerias a try. My family and I are very picky about our carne asada meat, so I'm very happy with the outcome of diezmillo. We did get it prepared so that you just put it on the grill once you're ready. The inside of the meat market is small but you can find some of the Mexican food basics. They also have a variety of Michelada mixes. We love the barbacoa at this place, but unfortunately, there is an issue with a regular patron that needs to be addressed. He is there every weekend, intoxicated. My husband does not feel comfortable eating there with him there, because he is always drunk with a caguama in his hand, stays there all day occupying an entire table by himself when people are waiting for a table, and makes inappropriate comments that are not for children's ears. That kind of behavior is fine for a bar, but not a family restaurant on a Sunday afternoon. He butts into other people's conversations when they are trying to enjoy a meal with their family. The ladies who work there seem to be at their wit's end with him. We have seen them politely try to ask him to leave, but he just ignores them. We have noticed that he has been there every single weekend we have gone, so we can't be the only people who have noticed or been scared off by his behavior. Whoever owns this place needs to put their foot down and tell that man to go away. He's going to lose customers and he might even lose employees. read more

So I've been going to Carniceria Mendoza in Sun Valley to grab Meats to grill but never tried the tacos. I ordered 2 tongue Tacos, 1 cows head Taco, and 1 Spicy Al Pastor Taco. Great flavors, the tongue was not chewy at all, al Pastor was spicy but had great flavor but the cows head was fantastic. Not greasy at all. While there I noticed a sign saying they are opening a second location with a bar where the old Knockouts used to be.
