I told the service girl to replace the fish with salmon and they gave me this . I told them this is not salmon and short service girl replied " it's salmon and this is because of the way they cook it " . We also ordered beef fajita and 2/3 are chicken and it's all burn and stick at the pan, not sure how long they had been cooked and also salty .

I love everything about this very authentic Mexican restaurant in Norcross. Service is good and food is absolutely amazing. Prices are affordable and you're served very large portions. The restaurant is located on Jimmy Carter off of Buford highway and the parking lot is very large. Upon entering you're greeted by employees that tell you to choose your seat and within minutes you're given your menus and complimentary chips/ salsa. It's going to take a few minutes to look through the menu, there are several pages with photos. They have menus in English and Spanish. My first visit i had 3 shrimp tacos with flour tortillas and salad on top. It was very filling and three was really too many. The shrimp were grilled and included onions. Very tasty! I also had a michelada and side of rice. Both were perfect. Second visit i had the shrimp fajitas which included their homemade tortillas. Yes, homemade tortillas. Loved the flavor and all of the veggies and the portion was gigantic, loaded with shrimp. Only thing i didn't like was that the tail were on the shrimp. I brought two different groups here and they fell in love also. Tip: they have spicier salsa, you just have to ask

Kind of easy to miss if you're zooming right by it. Anyway, it's a nice restaurant and the food is pretty good and the staff are pretty kind, etc etc. A good place for authentic Mexican cuisine.

I wanted some Mexican food so I googled best fajitas near me. It brought me to this place. It was just ok I love Mexican food especially fajitas. This place was a bit of a let down I ordered the beef fajita the meat was so tough and chewy I could barely finish it. I always try to leave on a positive note. The flavor was on point I wish I would have gotten chicken instead. Not everyone can make good beef. I know a lot of places had to shut down for months because of the virus so maybe the are just getting back up and running don't know

We order seafood soup which was season well. I would like real crab meat for $25 a bowl. The authentic steak tacos was good. Steak quesadilla was also good. The margarita drinks though was too sweet. I don't like there margarita mix. The mix take away from the alcohol taste for my preference. I recommend switching the margarita mix up and don't put so much grand gala in the margaritas. Other table away from us literally left a pitcher on the table and left.

The food was so good I forgot to take pictures of it all! We had the complimentary chips and dip, then our drinks, and Queso Fundido as our appetizer. I have quite frankly never tasted food this fresh. Amazing!

Randomly came to Los Portales Mexican Grill for lunch. We got some steak tacos, margaritas, and queso with jalapeños. This place is amazing. It's a hole in the wall spot on Jimmy Carter and I will definitely be visiting again. Margaritas are strong.. in a good way. Come prepared.

Service was good. The chicken in our fajitas was way overcooked. They were really skimpy with the onions and peppers.

She helped me pick some of the tacos I ordered as well. The birria here is what I recommend the most as well as the shrimp taco. The lady was kind enough to change my agua fresca when I admitted I didnt enjoy the first one! That customer service goes a long way.

Right off of Jimmy Carter in Norcross, on a block away back street. This location is in a fun shopping center with TONS of free parking, so I just had to pull up. The restaurant is big, like 2x bigger than most resin the area. I ordered classic cilantro, lime, onion on corn tortilla tacos: 4 tacos al pastor (pork) 2 chorizo (pork) The meat didn't have that sear on it or any crispy bits, but was still tender, flavorful, and not too oily. 4 different salsas to choose from here, all are delicious and complimentary with your food. Also, ordered a Torta Milanesa (beef) - Fluffy bun and even better than the tacos, if I must say. Maybe this milanesa just hit a craving for me that I didn't know I had, but it was kinda romantic. Pour salsa on every bite and maybe even some lime. Cashier is very nice, line is fast. Atmosphere is clean, filled with tables full of families that you can tell meet up here weekly. If I lived closer, I would definitely visit for their weekday lunch special platters.

On the one hand, they do not have a lot of parking, but on the other hand, most of their customers were there on foot as Weir most of the customers for the other businesses in the strip. We walked in and were able to order within about two minutes. The menus were easy to understand with pictures for everything and the staff made things easy as well. As we ordered and I asked for the Birria Burrito, they asked which one. I let them know that I had seen a video on TikTok about their Birria burrito, but that I hadn't seen it on their menu and that was what I wanted to order. They said it was the Birria Cali and that it was very popular lately. I mean, yeah- the video made it look phenomenal and the audio with it was funny. I had also, previously, seen a video about their Machete and wanted to order that because it looked awesome as well. They had 2! One Birria (beef) and the other was Governado (shrimp). We went for the Birria- of course. Honestly, the Birria Burrito had plenty of flavor and more variety in flavor due to the various fillings- Mexican crema, lettuce, guacamole, potatoes (surprising, but honestly VERY good), plenty of cheese, and the Birria (and the sauce is poured right in- which I think could be avoided). It was delicious, but it shouldn't have been served on the paper as the paper began to rip when I started cutting up the burrito. I had wanted to eat the burrito like a burrito, but the moment that I picked it up, it became nearly impossible. The burrito completely opened up and all the fillings started pouring out onto the paper. I was able to wrap it up again with about half the fillings, but the burrito tortilla was so wet that it was just a huge mess. I ended up eating half of the burrito with a fork. I don't know why they didn't serve it on a plate. The Birria Machete was super flavorful and simple, just Beria meat and cheese with a cup of their dipping Birria soup. It was also nearly 2 feet long! Very cool. I began to wonder if the corn tortillas for the Birria Machete were made in store. I asked- and they said they do make it themselves! The corn tortillas were the most flavorful corn tortillas I've ever had! They had texture and they were clearly NOT the type of corn tortillas that I get at most places, those premade floppy unflavorful corn tortillas like the ones you get in the pack of 150 at the grocery store. When I find out, I will let you know because the texture and flavor of the corn tortilla on the Machete was phenomenal. The place was packed when we got there. It was packed when we left. Clearly, they get plenty of business. Everyone around us seemed happy and content with their food and so were we. I will definitely be back for another Machete to try some other things as well. Give them a shot if you haven't been.

The food was actually superb. But, I don't like their deceptive pricing. Like would you like this…read moreand this. And you can actually get half and half. Then the menu prices become inflated without any notice. But for one of the "upgrades" or whatever the reasoning for the extra charge, it was only shredded lettuce along with a small dollop of sour cream and guacamole. It was rather sad. It's something you'd get standard at a chain restaurant like El Sombrero. Oh. If you get the consome, it will be an extra charge of $2.45. And they won't tell you that. But other than that, the food was good! I really liked how they had a separate birrias menu. Make sure you bring wet wipes because your hands will be oily. The birria sliders were delicious. Our strange total came out to be $16.90. Even with the $2.45 consome factored in, the total isn't $15.40. Since they were sliders, it's rather small. They're the size of the square dinner rolls but packed full of cheese, oil, and half chicken and beef. The beef was slightly more tasty compared to the chicken but both was just soaked with their variety of flavors. The birria quesadillas were $17.40. Even with the extra $2.45 with the consome, their math is not equaling $15.95 -- whacky! As for the taste profile, deliciousness. These three quesadillas were pretty massive. And like my sliders, they were equally oily and messy to consume. The horchata was really tasty. For a large, it was $6.75. It tasted different from other places. There was a nice rice flavor to it and less of the cinnamon flavor. Would I visit again? I think not. Good food. Prices were bleh, especially how it seems like we were charged more than their menu prices.
