My new favorite Mexican restaurant. The prices are reasonable and the service here is great . The food is excellent and come in a timely manner. Burritos and quesadillas is my personal favorite. Highly recommend for some delicious authentic Mexican food. Also , the horchata is really good

Authentic tacos!! Amazing fresh salsas, meat is tender and marinated well, tortillas are nice and soft. The staff were very kind as well and happy to serve the food. Even driving back home and the tacos sitting for 20 minutes - they were still gas. Would highly recommend the pastor - both the chicken and the pork. Will be coming back for sure.

OK, so, I had my mouth set on this other restaurant for my mid-week cheat meal BUT when I got there (cue The Price Is Right loser horn...) they were closed like an old school Miracle Whip commercial. The shopping plaza's power was out, so all of the shops were closed. What?! I drove from far too. So, not to be discouraged, I came back to Taco Shop. Hey, like the song says "Hotel, motel, Holiday Inn. If the other place is closed, let's get Mexican..." Something like that...LOL The last time, I had the DLX asada burrito and it was excellent! Today? I tried the asada fajitas and was not disappointed. It was A LOT of food but not too much. If I had one or two criticisms, they could pull back on the salt/seasoning of the steak. Though well-seasoned it was maybe a pinch heavy. The other was the number of tortillas. You get four but five would be perfect. Small things certainly but it takes nothing away from a other great meal!

Mom and pop shop. The tacos here are so good! Authentic Mexican tacos and they have fish, chicken, steak, shrimp and pork options. They also have quesadillas and birria tacos. Food is made fresh in minutes and the service is always pleasant. Really nice people. Tacos are a la carte about $3/4 each. They have a variety of sauces as well. This is a great place to get quick authentic Mexican food.

So this was my second time here but some how i forgot to take more pictures of my food this time but oh well , the food is good and the restaurant is spacious this is a decent spot to put this joint specially since it's been a lot of traffic in the area on the weekends so i know they have to be pretty busy at night. Me and my bf came here on a Saturday afternoon for lunch and we both had a burrito which they have breakfast options and regular options which is pretty cool the burrito is huge no it don't come with a side of anything but it's big I'm assuming whatever you want on the side like fries or whatever have to be added but it was slightly enough based on the size . My photos below will show you what we had . Now the other day i came again an was able to try something different this time which i don't have a photo of but i had a small caso cheese and chips which i give a 4/10 very small if you order a small . Then i had the birriah taco which is $4 for one and it had no season on it and then two chicken tacos which were pretty good but small .

Spontaneously got off I85 to grab a bite just before getting into heavy traffic just ahead. Driving toward the list of food chains we didn't have a chance to see what was left and what was right. We took a left and happened to see Taco Shop located in the front corner of a shopping mall. I jumped on my phone to pull it out on Yelp and saw the great reviews so we whipped in. Walked in and it being past the lunch hours rush there was no one in line but people were still eating at several tables. Nicely spaced out seating and not your usual back to back booth set up. At the counter our eyes were focused straight up at the large menu and navigated over toward our norm. We ordered go to, Shrimp quesadillas, Chicken and cheese quesadillas, chips and guacamole and large drink. Then immediately after paying I saw the big banner (I don't know how I missed it) hanging over to the right above the kitchen with a special for seafood tacos. Out loud I said I'd wish I'd seen that before ordering my chicken and cheese quesadillas. The gentleman taking our order, David, quickly responded that I could swap it if I wanted to. I reluctantly agreed feeling bad for any confusion it might bring on and said I'd be glad to pay any extra for the swap. He was so kind about it and as I could see the numbers going at lightning speed in his head he said it was a wash, no problem, heading straight to the kitchen to explain the changes. I ordered the 5 taco plate-2 lobster tacos, 3 shrimp and scallops tacos, California style for $15.99+tax. Y'all!! Mwah mwah mwah!!! I kid you not! Served along with pico, cilantro and sliced avocado-the ingredients were not spared and let me tell you, so so fresh and delicious!!! Just having some small talk him while our food was being prepared we learned he and his family moved here from CA back in the 80's and had been in the restaurant biz for over 30 years. We could tell. This is a gem find and one that doesn't skimp on service, selection or quality. Restraunt and bathrooms were very clean too. Let me also add there is a nice coffee and creamery also is there, set up separately to the left but we were traveling and didn't get a chance to check it. Something to look forward to next time. Some times a wrong turn can take you to the right place. God Bless you David, your family and thank you all for sharing your love and talents with us!

The food is decent but the service I received while trying to place a pickup order was horrendous. I attempted to make the order online but their website is inactive and when I called to place the order over the phone they refused to take my order and insisted I come in to make the order instead of just taking my to go order over the phone. Then whoever I was speaking to began to cuss me out irate when I asked to speak to the manager. Whoever is answering the phone 09/30 at 12pm has no customer service experience. I recommend you get your tacos somewhere else

Absolutely love going here when I'm in the mood for some delicious tacos. They have different options to choose from and ingredients are always fresh! Clean environment and great customer service, worth checking out when in Norcross.

Great mexican food made with fresh ingredients, friendly service, hispanic ambience for families. Must try it

    Chicken Nachos, Taco Queso Birria

Let me first preface that this is a hidden gem in the Norcross area- the gentleman in the front who I'm assuming was the owner, greeted me with a friendly demeanor as well as happily stating that if I have any questions to ask away! I ordered the horchata ($3.45 small), chicken nachos, fajita style ($13.95, +$1) and birria taco ($4.85 each). Overall, the portions are considerably generous and quite large! The small drink was pretty big for the size and I love how the horchata doesn't have that powder aftertaste (there are some restaurants in the area where you can taste the powder residue but here not at all)! Because I ordered to go, the man graciously said that before I left, I can refill my horchata to have a nice full one on the road (). With my to go order, they packed a variety of sauces as well as neatly prepared my food in them- the nachos were more so the toppings/protein instead of chips (a pleasant surprise) and the birria tacos themselves were large filled with cheese and beef with a side of onions and cilantro as well as consomme- flavors weren't to overwhelming and the taco isn't wasn't greasy to the point it leaves an oily residue on your mouth. Overall, I would definitely revisit this location and likely dine in here next time- it's quite spacious and very clean! I also like how much natural lighting the interior generally has as well! Everyone was again, really friendly and I can confidently say I'm willing to trek the drive up here to visit again!

It was a CROWDED Friday night at The Forum and LaParilla was BUSY. Nonetheless, we were promptly seated. We ordered an assortment of items across the five of us, Guac, wings, chimichanga, shrimp tacos, veggie fajitas, seasoned fries, plantain and a quesadilla. I only tried the guac, fries, veggie fajitas, one margarita and plantain. My food was just okay. But everyone else seemed as to enjoy their meal. Perhaps, better suited for meat-lover options. Contrary to the name, the fries weren't seasoned at all. The plantain were PERFECT. The veggie fajitas were bland and I'm not sure why tomatoes were added. BUT the rice and black beans were delicious. Again, this place is probably best suited for drinks, and meat-based meals. If you're into a crowded spot with a range of Mexican inspired options, this is your place.

Although aesthetically pleasing, the food Tastes odd and I actually took two bites and put it down. The dessert along with the rest of the meal was ok going down but actually made me sick later on. We had to order chips and salsa, only to find out you pay for them. And for each basket of chips. My Co worker ordered queso for himself but when they split the check, without asking she split the question between the 3 of us. I ordered street tacos. It comes with 4 plus beans and rice. Normally this is meat with almost no juice, corn tortillas with cilantro and onions. When i picked up the first one water/ juice poured out of it, the second had so much it fell apart at the fold when I picked it up. The beans and rice were little more than a tablespoon each. When I asked for my drink to be refilled she made no apology about having just poured it out. I mean we were the only ones there, keep up. There appear to be a lot of Mexican places around. Try something else.

They were having their grand opening, under the new name. The special was two free tacos. I chose the carnitas. The meat was finely shredded with no fat (Therefore no flavor), juice or seasoning. I was dissapointed in my free tacos lol. Which is tuff! I had the Chorizo dip, which was chorizo in queso blanco, and the only thing that threw me was that it was watery, (so was the salsa)... WHICH I waited until it cooled to see if it would thicken and it did not lol. I added salsa verde and rojo to the dip to add flavor (Neither of which were hot just medium... NOTED because I asked for habenero and was told by 2 servers "Oh the red is spicy..." "Oh the green is hot right?!" (Side Eye))The chips were nice crispy and fresh, they came out hot and the skinny margarita is their fresh margarita which I flavored mango... Pretty good. You can also take drinks togo... Wink... Don't drink and drive kids!... Anywhoooo... The service was meh. I could say it was because it was the grand opening... But it was early so it wasn't busy... I had several people wlk past me at the bar before one would eventually check to see if I needed anything and I had to just grab attention of anyone randomly to get whatever I needed. There were variables... It didn't blow me away in a good or bad way.
