It was ok. I felt like it wasn't authentic more like American style Mexican food. No strong flavors. Guacamole was good with the chips but the cheese was watered down it seems. I actually didn't want to write this because it made me sad. Taqueria Los Hermanos is my all time favorite Mexican restaurant, I don't even eat Mexican food unless it's from them I love it so much. On Friday, 8/28/26, I placed an order for pickup. When I arrived, I walked in and waited to be greeted. I stood at the desk and waited about 1 1/2 minutes--nothing crazy other than making eye contact with employees that were just watching me from the moment I walked in. Shortly after, a large group walked in, followed by a single man planning to dine alone. They were behind me. One of the male employees saw me at the desk first as well as a female employee from a different angle. I made eye contact with both before they disregarded me and helped the large party before they helped me. The man didn't even acknowledge me past the eye contact, and he saw me standing there before anyone else walked in. Then, I had to wave to the woman still standing there because she was in the middle of helping the next person behind me AGAIN. I honestly hate to do this, but both parties were white and I am a young black woman. I stood there first and waited to be helped, and they purposefully skipped around me and tried to make me feel bad for being upset. I didn't yell or make a scene but I was visibly upset. I go here a lot with my family--I even beg them when they want to try elsewhere to go here. The food service and ambience were great! My husband and I decided to try this local gem of a restaurant last week and we were pleasantly surprised. We were greeted by the manager and we told them that this was our first time at their restaurant. They told us the specials and gave us their recommendations before we were seated. This location and the sugarloaf one are our go tos but this lilburn location is BEAUTIFUL inside. I wish I had taken photos of the interior but it's an upper and lower patio restaurant with open windows. My go to menu items are - chicken tacos Delicious fried chicken tender or breast pieces loaded with lettuce, diced tomatoes, honey mustard - $3-4 ea. 5/5 - shrimp tacos I like the sugarloaf location's shrimp better these are like shrimp fajita tacos basically with bell peppers and onions - $3-4 ea. 5/5 - pollo en rajas This is a creamy cheesy burrito filled with sliced chicken breast, cooked onions, and poblanos. Comes with rice and beans - $10-13 5/5 - burrito frito (pictured) this is delicious it's a fried burrito stuffed with shredded chicken and topped with lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, cheese, and a tomato/salsa like sauce that's savory not sweet - $13 5/5 - Margarita - though I don't drink anymore, the margaritas here are so fresh on the rocks, smooth, and will get you happy! I don't know what's the deal is with Mexican restaurants and their prices of their cut of meats. If you order carne asada or pollo asado, grilled meats, they bring you those RAZOR-THIN small cuts of meat. I'm not about to pay that much money for those cuts, so I quit going to Mexican restaurant, maybe until they adjust their prices. I used to frequent the old Lilburn location in the strip mall quite a lot. Some weeks I would come three times. I loved the food, especially the Burrito de Pollo en Rajas. I've been three times since the move to the new spot and I will never visit again. For some reason the chicken is now dry, overcooked and often burnt and chewy. I visited other locations and that same dish is like it used to be at this location; quite delicious. I used to rave about this restaurant and recommend it often. It was the first place I would take visiting friends and family. It's a shame they screwed up a good thing. Additionally the parking lot is very, very tight and the parking spots are pretty small. The hubs and I have been coming here for years. This is the new location, which is pretty much right next to the previous site, but bigger and brighter. We were worried that if this place expanded, the food and service would suffer. I am happy to report that not much has changed. The food is excellent here. They have a great variety of tacos, burritos, enchiladas, soups, salads, tamales... you name it. They also have some pretty tasty specials on their menu that I do not think you will find at other Mexican restaurants. Always can find some vegetarian options here that are more than just rice and beans. If you like spicy, ask for their habanero sauce. Beware, not for the faint of heart. I ended with the Tres leches.... divine!!! As for drinks, they got a full bar. Our personal favorite is the Margarona. One Margarita+baby Corona combo and you are done for the night. We also noticed this time around that they upped their game and added some specialty cocktails. May even offer some dessert drink options. May give this a go the next time. As they have become very busy, the service, for the most part, has been keeping up. They are friendly and get your order to you in a timely manner. I do occasionally find myself having to track down the server for refills and whatnot, but not to the point where I am annoyed. It's just more notable than prior. The Tucker location of this family-owned restaurant is absolutely our favorite Mexican place. We've been dining here for 20 years. The carne asada tacos on flour tortillas are filled with flavorful, tender beef and served with a delicious salsa verde, chopped onions and cilantro. The grilled fish tacos (also on flour tortillas) are served with a delicious Mexican tartar sauce and escabeche. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. This is a true Tucker classic. One of my favorite restaurants in the Atlanta metro. This location in particular. A lot of what passes for Mexican food in the South is Tex-Mex. Across this region, cookie-cutter Mexican places have spread like kudzu. You can often tell these places because they have the same numbered specials, including the infamous "Speedy Gonzalez." Los Hermanos is not one of these places. There are specials on the menu that you don't see at the dime-a-dozen restaurants that exist only to sell bad margaritas. My favorite order is the Burrito de Pollo en Rajas. This is a large tortilla stuffed with grilled chicken and topped with a creamy rajas sauce, which is made with poblano peppers. It is not spicy at all, and the sauce goes great with the rice and black beans that come with it. It is a must-try that I will miss now that I've moved away. They used to bring me my meal as I walked in because I came in so frequently. Yes, it was mildly embarrassing. Great cheese dip here that I recommend ordering with minced jalapeños on the side. Finally, the salsa is, without hyperbole, the best in the state if not best in the South. read more

Been a customer of many years - always LOVED the food and the service. Recently they moved from within the strip mall to their own building with 3 times the space. Went last Monday night and my husband noticed the gratuity had been added @ TWENTY PERCENT. I have 9 ky seen automatic tip on large parties and even that is at 18%. When we asked the manager why this was added he explained that many times the waiters don't receive tips and/or the tips they deserve. Well then they should PAY THEIR STAFF BETTER!!! How do I even know if the servers actually get the tip and what is motivating them to give service if they will get 20% whether they give good service or not?!! He said it was a trend and all restaurants are starting to do this. REALLY? WHERE?!!! With all the choices for Mexican in the area, we will not be eating there again. By the way, they are also charging 10% service fee on all takeout orders!!! Just check out the yellow sign at the front door... I'm giving one star because I can't post without it. read more
