Spent months growing my hair out. All I want was a simple comb over haircut. So I thought why not.. lets get a haircut... it's just a comb over... wrong!!! Guy didn't have a clue how to cut hair. I look like an idiot now, and have to buzz all my hair off... if you go here and read my review, and you leave with a bad haircut, don't be upset because I just warned you. Stay away from here if you want a decent haircut. Oh, and the funny part was the barber next to me kept looking at my haircut while he was cutting it... making facial expressions... Always a gamble when you go. Different barbers each time. Some are good, others shouldnt be near scissors ever. Wouldn't recommend taking the risk since my last experience was ridiculous (see photos) read more

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU WANT TO KEEP A MEDIUM/LONG LENGTH HAIRSTYLE. ESPECIALLY IF IT IS CURLY. These guys know how to do low fades and nothing else. I came in and asked for a trim on the sides to give me a mullet kinda look and they buzzed 3/4 of the total length on the top and back of my hair. The employees were rude and making fun of my hair texture, saying it looked like a tree and needed to be cut using a chain saw. I could do nothing but smile as the guy gave me the most abysmal hair cut of my life. I'm only giving 2 stars instead of 1 because my barber was nice. To top it all off, they only accept cash despite their location on google maps saying they take card and apple pay. read more

Thought I'd give this place a try and man oh man am I happy I did. One of the best haircuts I've ever had. There's nothing like leaving a barbershop 100% happy with the way you look. Highly recommend. They don't take credit cards, but fear not as there's an ATM inside. read more

I showed 5 different photos of the hairstyle and specified to leave the top long. The front of my hair was cut super short and my haircut looked nothing like the photos. Guess I will have to wait a month for my hair to recover. AVOID this barber shop if you want medium hairstyles since you will get nothing remotely close to what you're looking for. This place isn't a glamorous shop like The Art of Shaving, but when it comes to guys' cuts, I don't think glamour is what people look for. I went in because I was in the area, and asked for a cut and beard shaping. The barber spent about 50 minutes on me meticulously trimming my beard with a straight razor. He knew how to use clippers, scissors, and the razor very well. Speaking at least some Spanish helps a lot. Most of the guys here don't speak English well, but they know their craft. So if you go in, and I strongly recommend that you do, just gesture out to what you want. I paid $20, with tip for a beard line-up and haircut. This is an amazing value. A suggestion to the owner: invest in some hot towels and offer a traditional "straight razor shave" with brush, shaving cream, towels etc. Your guys know how to use the straight razor, and you'll make extra money from this service for sure. read more

I got a great haircut, and the price just made it better. Usually when I get a $15 haircut, I expect to get in and get out. Not here. I was seated quickly, but my barber was meticulous with my backs and sides, making sure the fade was even. After the clipper work she cleaned up my edges with a straight razor! This is standard operating procedure here, as all the barbers I saw used the same procedure. She even did my eyebrows with the straight razor. My sister has always told me that I needed it, but I'm a guy and never really thought to get it done, but she didn't charge me extra for it (normal cost $2), and I look good and enjoyed the experience. Like I said, a slow meticulous cut. I came out feeling very sharp, and the cut still looks great a week later. I loved the cut so much I even got a picture of myself with my barber. The place is a little ghetto pimp style, some urban rap station on the tv, decorated in urban art. But you can tell that everyone there cares about style, cares about how their hair looks, and the idea is not to get a flamboyant hair cut, but to get a "normal" hair cut done with such precision that it becomes something more. read more

A colleague recommended Los Primos, thought I would give it a try as I got out from work on the earlier side this afternoon...one of the best cuts I've had in years. My barber really honed in on the fine details of my cut, it was a great price, and I will 100% go back for my next cut. read more

I went here based off the reviews, and the fact that it was one of the few places open on Sunday. This place is terrible! It's filthy, there's hair everywhere, and absolutely no hygienic standards. The tools had hairs all over them, the station was covered in hair and tissues, he wiped down the trimmer with a dirty talc brush - gross! I should have ran at this point, but was already strapped in, and I suppose in shock. I tell him I want a cut with scissors, and he takes a phone call on his cell, grabs the electric trimmer instead of the scissors and just starts hacking at my head with it. 3 minutes later, he's done. He absolutely butchered my hair. Forget the filthy, unsanitary conditions, or lack of friendly service, avoid this place because they don't now how to give a basic cut. Next step - report to the health board! read more

The barbers are very detail-oriented and meticulous to ensure they give you a great haircut despite the fact that they often check their celphones as they cut your hair. They also make sure that you're not itchy when you leave the barbershop. It's definitely worth your $17. read more

Went for my first visit to this place and was thrilled. The stylist was meticulous, and gave me the best flat top I've had in Boston.

This was my first time at Los Primos and a friend and I decided to check it out because it's walking distance from my school. The cut was great actually, my barber was courteous and asked exactly what I wanted and honestly did a great job overall. Having gone to chain hair cutters for years, it was nice to try a local barbershop. Enjoyed the ambience, the music, and the conversation with my barber. Cash only but there's an ATM nearby. Would recommend and definitely will go back again read more

Knowledge is power. The Department of Health, Government and who knows who else will be privy to your name and phone number. There is a REQUIRED collection of names and phone numbers under the GUISE of safety and health. The owner/s of shops (not only this one) will be required to collect this information and pass it along in order to operate their businesses. Think about this. Shop owners will tell you, "Oh, just in case someone gets sick I can call you and let you know..." Anyone else scratching their heads wondering... all the signs says, don't come here if you have a fever, cough, don't feel well BUT contact your doctor, BUT your doctor is not in the office, DON'T go to the hospital/ER if you're sick QUARANTINE yourself (funny enough we all are...) THINK critically. Research: "contact tracing", "mandated medicine", "the constitution", "privacy laws", "freedom lost" and take learn what is going on for yourself. This is a much loved shop. Much recommended and appreciated for their skill, listening to what the customer wants, and doing their damn best. read more

I arrived about 5 minutes before they were about to close in desperate need of a haircut before an interview first thing in the morning. They greeted me right away and still sat me for a cut. Let me say this was by far the most thorough and fastest cut I have ever received. These guys are very skilled with their trade and it definitely shows. Just make sure you are very clear with what you want and these guys will scupt to perfection. My only gripe is it was 17 bucks which I'm used to paying 10 but nonetheless I will certainly be back. read more

I go here regularly. For the price they do a great job. Use the razor to line you up which is an added perk. I have rotated between a few people but now i have my regular go to guy. Usually there isnt much of a wait either but if your picky about who cuts your hair it could take a little longer. I dont like the area very much but hey at least there is parking. read more

Such a great hair cut. I visited the los primos 3 barbershop further down the street. The service was quick and efficient. The barber didn't speak great English but I was able to communicate my wants just fine and he understood just fine and delivered an impeccable hair cut. I have received so many great rants and raves about my cut. I will definitely come back here. read more
