Got my first of many haircuts with Scott here today and am super happy with how it came out. The place itself was easy walking distance from local parking lots in a very convenient location in Waltham. The interior was very clean with a really modern look. All the equipment also looked very new and clean. Scott and the other folks working seemed relaxed in personality but very professional about their work. I also appreciated the chill playlist playing in the shop too, kudos to whoever put that one together. Scott was very meticulous and took his time with my haircut, which I really appreciated. He gave me a recommendation of going for a taper, along with what I wanted up top, and I'm glad he did since the result turned out so well. Real smart recommendation. Derek got my fade looking perfect again following 3 months of pandemic neglect. He also fixed the sections I screwed up while trying to do it myself during the shut-down. He even managed to fix the weird cowlicks in the one spot on my crown where the hair grows in multiple different directions all at once. (And was nice enough not to comment on the "666" birthmark underneath.) The shop looks great, responsible COVID-19 measures are adhered to, every staff member I interacted with was polite and helpful, and you can conveniently schedule and pay for your appointment online via their website. 100% experience all around. Still asked me to wait a min. Results: Stuck in traffics on the way back. No lunch time and no hair cut. Wasted a good amount of time. Do not go in as a walk in, they will rush. If you don't have time for a walk in then just say it, don't rush my haircut and then the appointment after me because you wanted to bill twice. Also the barbers in here have changed so much, I have never had so many bad barbers at one place before. Gus is decent but the rest usually suck, hard to tell since they usually only last six months. Bald tatted creep the 3rd to last time i went insisted on washing my hair, i said no thanks twice and he still washed my hair with fucking nine rings on it was creepy. I accidentally booked 2 appointments on the online booking, so I called right after the mistake to clarify that I only needed 1. The person who answered the phone told me no problem. Fantastic barbershop at a great price. I'm new to town and I saw Eddy. He did a fantastic job! He paid attention to every detail and gave me exactly the cut I wanted. The atmosphere of the place is nice. They have large TVs on the walls and comfortable leather couches to wait on. It's very welcoming and I felt right at home. There isn't a good place nearby to lock up your bike, but they do have a place in front of the front window that's set back from the street where you can park it. I've been going here for my past few cuts and Avra has been really kind to me. We have been experimenting with a few cuts and we finally settled what was best for me. The environment ia really friendly and it is a very spacious barbershop. They have a waiting area with many HD tv's with sports channels on so you won't be bored on while watching your Sunday football. Actually, this was the very first barbershop I'd ever went to. Before then, I had always gone to salons. I was introduced to this establishment by a friend, and let me tell you -- it's amazing. This place has impeccable service, great prices, and fresh cuts. I honestly never understood how amazing barbershops were, until I visited Waltham's Finest. This barbershop is the real deal! For a haircut and a hot shave $15 is a steal. The barbers are friendly and pay attention to your hair. This is the only barbershop that I have been to that will spend 45 mins - 1 hr making sure that your hair looks good and you are satisfied. The atmosphere is that of a classic barbershop with an updated and hip feel. The music is blasting and there is a dog that runs around the shop sometimes. The leather couches in the waiting area are comfortable (almost too comfortable) and they had me seated in about 15 mins even thought they were quite busy. They are also very accommodating. I've lived all over the country and this is the best barbershop I've ever been to for a few reasons. 1) Gus is the man. 2) They give a cut that is on point, exact, affordable, and quick. Same goes for the rest of his staff. Finished every time with a razor shave on the back of the neck (if you're comfortable with that). 3) His barbershop itself is more comfortable than my own living room. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!.. This is by far the most unprofessional barbershop I have ever seen in my life. I am not going to talk about how great or bad they cut your hair because their problem is way bigger than that. Eddy`s last behavior surprised me a lot since he was nice when I got my haircut from him before and it was VERY unprofessional. He just sat there and literally did nothing as I waited there for half an hour, his excuse was waiting for someone else "who has no other time to get a haircut". Even the other barbers were confused by his attitude and did not understand why he was not cutting my hair. All of a sudden he decided to cut my hair and I told him that I do not want him to cut my hair with that very unprofessional attitude. He said "fine" instead of apologizing and told me not to bother him again. This is a great example of how to ruin your business especially if it is customer-based. Moved to Waltham in August and it took me a while to find a local barber shop. Like a lot of towns and cities there is no shortage of barber shops. tried a couple but none of them were really hitting home runs, they were decent but nothing special. Then, not only did I come across Waltham's Finest but I was blessed that as a walk in that I had the luck of sitting in Alyssa's chair, she is nothing short of fantastic. There is an attention to detail that I have always looked for in barber shops but not always have found. Its hard to explain, it just a certain je ne sais quoi that causes one shop to stand out a bit further than others. Not only did I get a fantastic cut, but was more than pleasantly surprised when I was provided with a hot towel service an aroma therapy steam mist, then having my hair washed, drastically cutting down on the annoying little hairs that make their way down the back of my shirt causing me to itch and scratch till I get home to take a shower. if your new to the area and looking for a shop or if your just looking for a new place this in the best joint in town. read more

If you don't wanna read the full review, a summary is, Johnny is the man to see for a great cut with timely/professional/comfortable service. Everyone else, you know a vetting a barber is a daunting task. I have lived in the area for about a year and was going to the best barber I could find at the time (I wont say where or who). After months of him telling me to see Johnny, every time I said I'm going to get a cut, and him offering to pay for my haircut if I didn't like it...i went to see the man. My friend set the appointment on Sunday night after hours and the appointment was confirmed, by Johnny, for Monday. The Cut (mid skin fade) I went in for my appointment. Before starting, Johnny asked me the basics. I'm trying to maintain a new hair style so I couldn't answer some of them and left it in his hands. He explained what he was going to do to make sure I was comfortable and proceeded. He gave me the works - trim, line up, hot towel finish (new to me) It came out perfect! Better than I was getting elsewhere. The service: A cut is great and the most important part (obviously). But, there's so much trust instilled into a barber from the customer that there's a bond between them. Service sets barbers apart. Johnny, make makes you feel like you've been boys while maintaining professionalism and provides genuine conversation, all while working quickly with precision. I had an appointment made through someone at the shop on a Wednesday morning...showed up and someone else had an appointment at the same time long story short I didn't end up getting a cut. Gusto said he'd make it up to me so I came back the very next week at the same time and he did and ended up fixing a messed up cut I got from another shop around the corner and didn't charge me a dime. He said no but I'm calling someone to see if they can come in, he lives right down the street. Wouldn't recommend it to ANYONE without a reserved time slot. Barber cut my face 4 times which is the worst thing I think they can do...also left mad hairs on my face and neck, charged me to not even take off the hairs under my eyebrow and an extra 10$ to poorly shape up my mustache.
