This place is awesome. I wanted to try out a new taco spot in our neighborhood and I'm glad that we came here. There was nobody in there so the service was fast and efficient. I ordered a veggie burrito which I didn't even have to modify to be vegan which was awesome. It wasn't just rice and beans, it had peppers, potatoes, etc. which was a nice surprise. It was CHEAP too. The food was impressively good! Being Mexican sometime you can't really trust Mexican places because they often don't taste authentic or original. But this place was a like a chipotle but way better quality. No fat on the meat, everything was extremely clean and the prices for the food is great. We're so glad we gave this place a shot. I normally go to the Los Taquitos on 16th/Glendale but was meeting a friend in this area for lunch. The food is basically identical as the other location, but to be redundant, I love the bean tostadas with no cheese (served vegan), chips and salsa/pico and rice (which is also vegan). All were great at this location as well! Other vegan options are the tacos or enchiladas with no cheese, but avoid the burritos (the flour tortillas are not vegan). This location has a few advantages when compared to the 16th St. one though. First - the seating area is much more generously spaced, so you don't feel as cramped when eating. Also, the line to order is very well designated, so it doesn't merge into the dining area (or out the door). The menu board is also easier to navigate for some reason. The music was a little loud (and a different genre than usually played up north - oddly) and the restaurant was a touch warm, but what place isn't in early August around here? Service was fast/efficient and the food was excellent. I'm glad to know this location lives up to expectations! read more

I ordered a chicken taco and a carne Asada burrito, both of which were a disaster. The taco was 3" x 3" and filled with mostly raw onions and way less than tender nuggets of chicken. The burrito was something else: The tortilla itself was great, but the insides were a mush of What might have been crispy beef at one time, although it is smashed with mostly white navy beans. At first I thought it was a bean burrito but it was not refried beans, it was smashed white beans and mush! Great tacos Los Taquitos takes taco making to the next level. The decor inside Los Taquitos is reminiscent of a Dia del Muerte pageant. Once inside, you know immediately by the incredible aroma that you are in the right place for great tasting Mexican food. On this visit I tried each of the three tacos and a chille relleno. Everything was delicious; the tacos pastor was incredible. The meat in these tacos was tender, flavorful, and practically melted in my mouth. The Carne Asada Taco is stuffed with bubbling, juicy bits of lightly marinated skirt steak, nestled in a warm homemade tortilla, delicious doesn't begin to describe the Carne Asada Taco. However, I couldn't possibly overlook the Al Pastor with its sweet meat, topped with onions and cilantro, so flavorful, moist, and delicious, I could have ate a dozen, and on Taco Tuesday at $1.00 a taco, I just might. Probably more of a 3.5 stars. To me what brings it down is several things: 1. Price. Street taco size for $3+ is a bit much. 2. No salsa bar. Basically red or green sauce. 3. No radishes to accompany the taco. Other than that service was fine as well as ambiance. read more

I first one to start by saying that their green salsa is one of the best, if not the best in all Phoenix!. It has enough spice to be called an actual salsa with the same feel as if was made in Mexico. The variety of the menu has covered all the tastes. Worth mentioning that they have Lengua in their menu which I find very amazing since its not an organ enjoyed by many people. Tacos are served in the original taco de calle tortilla and finished with onion and cilantro and not the usual americanized version of a pseudo taco (refereeing to the very disgusting taco bell). This is a very good taco with good Mexican flavors...in the family tree this tacos are like the second line cousin. Am I missing something? These reviews are kinda misleading. I've had AMAZING tacos in Phoenix and this place just isn't it. My husband and I tried 6 different street taco options and were disappointed. They were soggy, lacked favor and just blah! Maybe we didn't try the good stuff from the menu but won't be going back for taco Tuesday lol. It also seemed kind of expensive but maybe that because we didn't think our money was well spent The restaurant is super cute, spacious, clean and in a great location. The staff was very nice! I really wanted to like this place but it's a thumbs down for me. I'm open to trying other stuff so we'll see. read more

For breakfast get the breakfast burrito or the plate of chorizo and eggs. Always a 10/10 and make sure you grab some green sauce to have with them! Lunch is great too! Tacos are smaller so get a few! Tostados are great. I love Los Taquitos and crave it more than I'd like to admit haha read more

My husband and i arrived on a Saturday afternoon and we were the only people in the restaurant which was a bit odd. We don't mind not having to wait but were suspicious whether that reflected the quality of the food we were about to get. We each ordered a burrito to-go as we'd both eat them a little while later. They were kind to double wrap them in foil upon request. The burrito kept very warm in the foil and still tasted fresh a couple hours later. Taste: The asada burrito had the right amount of seasoning. However the burrito alone tasted dry. Since the to go order did not come with any additional salsa or hot sauce (i had not asked and it was not offered or available for self service)it definitely felt like it was missing something. Apparently there is salsa in the burrito but i could not tell and if it's in there, it needed more. If i was dining in, i would add some pico de Gallo or something to spice it up and give it some freshness too. All i tasted was asada and a lot of beans. The carnitas burrito was also very bean heavy. However the carnitas was more juicy so it tasted better despite not having any additional salsa or hot sauce. It was however very salty. Overall, they were not bad; the burritos are a good size but nothing to write home about. read more

Saturday I went on the hunt for some good mexican breakfast, then I remembered I bookmarked this Cute spot! I came across this place on instagram quite a bit. One day I seen this beautiful lookin plate of breakfast and had to find this place. I've been next door at a place called The Bar and never noticed it. There was a lot of windows you can see through and when I walked in the music hits ya'. It immediately puts you in a good mood. If that doesn't do it then the murals on the walls sure will. They are filled with colorful skulls and flowers. The music wasn't so loud to where I couldn't hear my conversation, so that was nice. Also, I liked how it was open seating. I started with a Modelo Especial, chilaquiles rojos, with beans and potatoes, side of bacon and a Chile relleno. Don't judge me! The beans were the star of the dish. This spot hits the spot! Their tacos taste great. The meat is tender and seasoned well. I ordered a shredded pork quesadilla and a fish taco. Yum! My daughter got a kids meal quesadilla that came with a drink and rice & beans. My wife got a a couple tacos and a drink. Total bill was $23! I am disappointed. I order quite often and this used to be my favorite place but lately the orders have changed. The food/taste is still exceptional but what comes and condition are not good. I used to always get small containers of both red and green salsa and I haven't the past few orders, one of these orders had nachos and no salsa, Also the past few orders have been cold - cheese on the bowls not even melted. The food used to be marked as to what is was and now it is not so I have to open everything and figure out myself. As I said the taste is still my fav but I may have to look elsewhere as the customer delivery lacks. read more

The food here is very authentic and delicious. I had the pozole was really good and the pork was very tender. They gave me plenty of accompanying sides. Not on the menu, they still made me a hard shell shredded beef taco, also great. This place appears to be very clean out front, even during busy times. Vanessa was very attentive as the cashier and works hard to keep the front end stocked. The food came out fairly quickly, and the prices are great. Another home run with a great crispy taco and tostada. Just wish they would turn on the subtitles on the TVs. They are great big screen TVs but we can't understand what's going on as long as we can't read the subtitles. PLEASE TURN ON THE SUBTITLE FUNCTION. The dining experience was awful tonight. Someone is extremely proud of the subwoofer they installed since the last time I was in. I felt like I was inside one of those insanely tricked up street cars that annoy the crap out of everyone in a 3 mile radius. You know the one - loud muffler and blaring music with the bass EQ'd so high you feel it through your whole body. Imagine having to eat dinner while thumping sound moves through your whole body. Absolutely unpleasant. If you're a club, be a club. Get rid of your tables and by all means have at it. Blast the bass and hire a bouncer. But if you're a restaurant, please stop letting your cousin play with your sound system. He's done an awful job. Hire someone that understands what makes an enjoyable dining experience. And if you haven't gotten the hint yet, let me reiterate that your thug-life bass ain't it. read more
